The location directly at the Mekong river is great

Bathroom was not clean when we arrived. Ants in the room.

Fantastic location, beautiful garden, excellent value for money, could hire bicycles from the property, laundry service available but expensive, food and drink available to buy but very expensive. Great food places down the road.

Everything was great except for the shared bathroom. There were cut-out holes / decorations in the wall of the bathroom, but no netting. It was absolute infested by mosquitoes. I got bitten many times while taking a shower, getting dressed, sitting on the toilet, or brushing my teeth. Really really awful. I think i killed about 20 every time I went to the bathroom. It was terrible. Please please could the property sort this out. Everything else was good. Also there were loads of mosquitoes in the garden area, by the hammocks and things. Made sitting outside awful. If the property could burn citronella intense or candles to make it better, that would be good.

It's the first time that we had to pay for drinking water in Thailand. You have to pay for Coffee and hot water and to rent the bikes which is a lot with what we already pay for the room. Bathroom full of mosquito because the water stays in a big pot for days

Absolutely lovely location on the river, set amongst a beautiful garden. The rooms are beautiful, classic old-school Thai style but the peaceful and shady atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. Doesn't get better in Nong Khai

The room was lovely - better than expected with some nice furnishings - basic but comfortable with a partial River view. The location on the river is lovely and an easy walk along the prom to see some of the life of Nong Khai. The on-site honesty bar, serving wine and beer and restaurant topped it off. Pity we were only padding through one night.

There was bike and motorbike rental, it was a nice location by the river, seating area was pretty and nice, I liked that there were mosquito nets, wifi was good. The bookshop was cute. The staff members were helpful, friendly and spoke good English.

There was no way to close the room door without locking it, there was work being done in the hallway and bathroom while we were there which created fumes, there were sooo many mosquitos in the room due to not being able to close the door. The bike rental and restaurant menu were too expensive. There wasn’t much of a vibe as most travellers were old men or couples, few young solo travellers.

Great location, relaxing front area, front desk staff very kind and helpful. So cheap you can’t really complain.

Door to our room didn’t shut as it had no handle or latch, so whenever someone left the room leaving others behind, they would need to get up and lock the door to keep it shut, then get up again to let them back in. This got really annoying as time went by. Shared Bathroom was extremely basic though at least the door shut.

Great staff, location and decor. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, quiet and close to the water and the downtown. The decor is lovely and beautiful.

The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable, and the drains of the bathroom sinks were all clogged and were not cleaned despite politely mentioning it.

Mut Mee Garden Guest House is not only situated close to the river but also it is set in a mature garden which even has a couple of red squirrels frolicking around in the trees. The building is stylish with a great ambience. The bed was comfortable, the towels were thick and new, the bathroom was small but the shower was hot enough. A great place to relax but book ahead as it was full when we were there and it was a weekday.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Loved the gardens and the common dining areas.

Over priced food (particularily the instant coffee). Most of the staff were friendly and nice but at times i didn't feel so welcomed. The room i was given only had a fan, was so hot i could barely sleep at night and couldn't stay in the room at all during the day. Suggest a air con ròom if the weather is hot. Other wise it's probably the nicest budget place to stay in nong khai.

It’s my first time travelling alone in Mueng Nong Khai, and I made a perfect choice staying at Mut Mee guesthouse. The location is superb, green and peaceful, right by the Mekong River. The neighbourhood is also lovely. Staffs are very helpful. I especially love the garden and open-air sala where I can spend hours working there. And the golden Dog! Definitely revisit soon.

The wall is thin, but it’s not a big problem to me.
