The apartment has everything you need and for my surprise we have kitchen with cleaning machine. The balcony has really beautiful sea view and a lot a space.

The owner and the people working there where so friendly. Very close to the beach and the breakfast is good. The owner is definitely doing his best to make sure you are comfortable at his place. It is a family run business and they put there heart and soul in it.

Very pleasant staff :) The location is great. The hotel is directly connected to the nearest beach via a short walking path. We did a hike through Lagos and the surrounding coast right from the hotel. After 1 km of walking east the wooden trail towards Ponta da Piedade starts :) From the room and also from the pool area you'll get a beautiful view over the sea, especially during sunset :)

We are two friends traveling together. We found the studio apartment to be spacious with an adequate bathroom and kitchen (although, we did not prepare any food it did seem well-stocked with utensils). The main room was quite large and there was a sizeable deck from where you could see the ocean as well as hear the crashing of the waves. Ilda, the concierge, was absolutely wonderful in every way! She is quite personable and smart and speaks several languages. When she tells you she wished she spoke better English she is only being modest because her English is superb! I am unable to adequately describe fully what a wonderful woman she truly is!

I believe the only thing that would have helped would have been a rented car. While there are 3 excellent restaurants just a short walk down the hill (including 67 stone stairs, lol) so you will not starve if you do not have a car. Taxis are always available as well.

Awesome hosts: Ilda and Fernando and their family is wonderful, with lovely conversations, providing local information and recommendations. Very nice breakfast spread. Amazing location, 3-4 mins beautiful walk from the beach. Very neat, tidy and well-maintained rooms and common areas. Very nice open swimming pool with lots of 🌞. All in all it was a very calming stay!

The beds and pillows were hard but Ilda sorted that out and made us feel at home It's difficult to get around if u don't have a car as Lagos city is a 30 min walk

The Magnolia Mar deserves the highest rating (and gets it!). Not only for the accomodation itself and all services around, but especially for the more than friendly and familiar atmosphere lived by Ilda and Fernando. We felt like being a family member. All our expectations we had upfront were met and additional wishes got handled immediately. Our apartment had all we needed. Beyond that, we had a balcony with an incredible view of the beach. The apartment building is located in a perfect spot. The Porto de Mos beach is just a couple of minutes away. Lagos and other beaches can be reached very quickly as well. Also, sufficient (free) parking available. No question that we highly recommend the Magnolia Mar and we're already looking forward to coming back again.

Could have done with a clean set of bed sheets during the stay but I guess covid and all that prevents staff entering the room. I’m sure had I have asked i would have received them
