Short stay, but really liked the atmosphere and Javier's service at reception.

The bar area and pool were very social during my stay.
The dorm rooms were extremely hot, 2 fans in a room for 12 people with no window made it difficult to sleep. In the three night I stayed here I had nothing but ice cold showers, something I don’t expect after staying in multiple Viajeros and for the price charged per night. Also there was only 3 toilets for males in the whole hostel so you would quite often have to wait to use a toilet.

L'attention du gars à la réception, son nom est Ruben, était très attentif à tout. Si vous avez besoin de recommandations ou résolvez un problème, demandez à Ruben

I loved the hostel as a good base for Cali and especially because of all the salsa going on! I took dance classes with Natalia a teacher from the Melao foundation and I loved my experience with her. She was an amazing teacher, so kind and gentle and taught me salsa skills super clearly! I wish I took even more with her.
Also the receptionist Gisela was super helpful and helped me find my passport which was so kind! Amazing place xx

La atención fue excelente por parte de todas las personas
Que cerrara el bar a las 12 😅

Great hostel with a cheerful and dynamic atmosphere. There are plenty of common spaces to enjoy and chill but also nice rooms for privacy. The staff makes sure that noice is down after 10 p.m. which was really great for those who didn't want to party. They have a food-truck with delicious food inside the hostel but also plenty of options around.
Thr dorm beds were stable and didn't make any noice when climbing up/down. Courtains assure privacy
There were not many non-alcoholic drinks available at the bar. The kitchen equipment could use an update.

It was a wonderful stay. The vibes, the activities, the salsa, the staff (particular nod to Ruben, Karen, Noa and Jose, who were very helpful and accommodating) If you want a great mix of relaxation and festivity this is the perfect viajero. Great pool, great bar, even a food truck in the evening makes for a perfect holiday. The place is full of people practicing their dance moves from the (very reasonable) private lessons or free evening class everyday and at night you can flex your skills at a number of salsa clubs which most of the hostel attend. Give yourself at least 3 nights to get in the swing of things. I’ve extended twice because salsa is my new favourite pastime!
The dorm I stayed in initially was pretty small (dorm 4), but all the others looked decent, so maybe bear that in mind (but don’t let it deter you :)

Cooles Hostel, very clean, good Vibes, coole people. It's possible to get cheap and very good privat salsa lessons there. Go there - it's very nice! You won't regret it. Thanks Jorge and the whole team for the lovely service.

the vibe! there’s so many different people so if your solo travelling it’s a great place to go. the staff were lovely, Jose is great! it’s a good location too
even if you get a private room you can’t escape the noise. I work online and needed some quiet at some point and there never really is any. everything does go quiet around 10pm so it’s good for sleep

The staff is very sweet.
Danse classes are really nice
Dorm was very small and it was difficult to get to the bed sometimes with all the bags in the way. It also get really warm and stuffy at night! Only 2 toilet which can be an issues when the hostel is full.
The circus show didn't happen, we waited and no one communicated with us on that

Such a nice place for (solo) travelers who like to dance. I had a private room which was small but fine because most of the time you are dancing anyways or being at the pool area. The stuff was so friendly and welcoming, taking dancing classes is a must and it was so much fun. I met great people, the atmosphere and all the activities (dancing classes, tours, party bus…) making it easy to get in contact with other travelers. Good breakfast!

the best and most welcoming staff. They really make you feel at home and you can make friends with them quite easy.
they never had change in cash if you came with even little money.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. You instantly get a warm feeling when you check in, from the very friendly staff and the amazing open areas at the hostel. I ended up staying in the reception multiple times hanging out with David and Alfredo and many others working at Viajero. They shared tips, food and helped me practice my Spanish. So Nice! The hostel felt safe and it was extraordinary with all the free stuff included, for example salsa classes every day and yoga, as well as circus-shows. It was easier than ever to get help booking private salsa classes through the reception and several tours. I used the pool a lot, a perfect area both to relax and to play games, eat or have a drink at the bar. People are festive but in a way that even works for a person who enjoyes relaxing and having a chilled one. Very Nice breakfast to a good price as well. it is close to salsa clubs and I found a super Nice restaurant with beautiful art just 50m from the hostel. For me this could not get better!

The staff was very friendly
The showers weren't very clean, and the hostel rented old towels with holes. It wasn't nice for the price

Staff is exceptionally friendly. I couldn't be happier with them. Alexis and Alfredo were super nice and helpful. I liked that the hostal has a vivid vibe at nights without beying annoying to the rest of the guests who are not joining the crowd at the pool. Location is great, since there are a lot of restaurants around and at night you can go up San Antonio and enjoy a nice view while having local food.
The 8-beds bedrrom I stayed in is very narrow. As far as I could see, the rest of the rooms have plenty of space and this was the only one that barely had any space for more than 2 people to be standing in between bunk beds. It wasn't something that affected my trip, though.

The pool area is really nice. Breakfast is good. I had a private room which was basic but fine.
Not enough toilets and showers are in the common/Social area which is strange! Tiles in my room were broken. Staff were unhelpful regarding organising salsa classes which they never had the timetable for but were immediately unavailable once the timetable came, they said they were working on it and I took classes at 2 other schools. Staff also didn't give me any info or a map on arrival which is always a nice touch. The free salsa class was more like zumba and did not teach anything useful for beginners (I'm not a beginner but remarked that beginners would be better to learn basic steps/turns and lead and follow in hold than an aerobics routine). Basically don't expect to learn salsa at this hostel. The staff would sit at the table directly outside my room and talk very loudly on the mornings which is fine I suppose but this is not a hostel for peace and quiet! On my last night the staff came around 4-5 times recruiting for a party bus that I didn't want to join as I was flying the next day and the sales pitch and 'what else are you gonna do' became annoying.

Always a good vibe at the hostel! Great people and great parties. No wonder many people return :)

Hostel is small enough that you can talk to everyone. The common areas are made for that and that's great as some hostels are huge and you feel the disconnect.
Rooms are hot hot hot. You have 2 fans in the room and it gets annoying when someone turns one off because they are "sick". Mad the rooms 10x hotter. And because some have no windows that much more smelly.
There was also a disconnect with the staff as well. You never knew what was going on with events. Because noone told you.
The bar situation was also annoying at times. I thought it was just me but it felt like the bar staff sometimes ignored you to talk to their friends or give you drinks when they felt like it. You'll be standing there or walk up and their back would turn towards you. After speaking with multiple people it seems a lot of people felt this way. Not a good feeling at all.

20 euros a night for a low quality dorm bed, terrible small dorms, i made a reservation for two and we were not in the same room (should have mentioned it to us before checkin), bad experience.
