Good social rooms and kitchen. Good breakfast.

My room only had access to two bathrooms where only one of them had a shower. Had to wait in line to use the shower and even to pee… When I checked in I did not get a tour pf the house to know where everything is or when the breakfast was served.

the swimming pool is great to use, as well as the communal hot showers next to the pool. decent priced beers to relax by the pool. the area feels safe and enough choices of restaurants or bars, pharmacies and convenience shops nearby. cold water from the fridge dispenser also a benefit and the Wi-Fi worked well. the common areas are maintained /cleaned daily. pancake breakfast is basic but does the job- we could make our own. the filtered coffee is very good. AC worked well

the private double room doesn’t have hot water shower. the en-suite toilet could also be more private , rather than just closed with a shower curtain., and could be modernised. hangers for clothes in the private room would be helpful. no view from window. taxi found the hostel difficult to find - the sign is too subtle.

Good basic accommodation for a short transit through Panama City (we stayed 2 nights). It was nice and quiet during the time we stayed. Wifi worked really well. the Pool was warm and great to hang out by until we could check in, as our flight arrived in the morning. the shower by the pool was convenient and had hot water. The rooms were clean. The free breakfast of make-your-own pancakes (pre-mixed by the staff), as well as coffee, was a nice to have. Location felt like it was in a safe area, central Bella Vista. some restaurants & a pharmacy nearby by foot. big shopping centre about 20-30 minute walk. Laundry is on site, also convenient at $8/wash including dryer. We liked being able to dry our clothes. It was pretty easy also to book Uber to collect to get to Albrook bus station. They also sell cold beer which as really good if you didn't feel like going out, and just want to hang by the pool / in the common areas.

we booked an en-suite private bathroom. sadly the hot water wasn't working in there, but got used to it as it was so hot in the city anyway - the hot water worked in one of the showers by the pool as an option.

The staff as well as the owners are amazing - so friendly and welcoming! The dorms were clean and the beds comfortable. Couldn’t ask for more.

When we arrived in the evening we got told that the private room we booked was not availabe anymore and that we had to sleep in a dorm (we could not read the message that we received a few hours after our booking because we were on a boat with no internet). The unbearably unfriendly receptionist mumbled quietly in Spanish (we speak Spanish) without greeting us and no word of an apology. He clearly shouldn't work in hospitality. During our honeymoon, after a sailing trip, we were really looking forward to enjoying some privacy. Until now I thought that a Booking.com confirmation is a guaranteed booking. Breakfast included means 2 pancakes and a banana - but only from 07:00 to 09:00. Don't forget to wash the dishes yourself when you are finished. Where else do you get served breakfast in such a small time window and have to wash the dishes yourself afterwards? That's ridiculous. Not to mention that the receptionist had no interest in telling us where and when the breakfast would be served. In fact, he didn't tell us anything and we had to find out ourselves. You pay extra for towels (2$ each); no soap in the shower and also not in all toilets; no windows in the dorm; you can't control the air conditioning and it only works during night. All in all, we are glad we only stayed for one night - we got a really good private doubleroom in the same area for the same price.
