We have been to the Kefalonia Bay Palace many times, as always the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the views are fantastic. The facilities are excellent, the breakfast is very good and a lovely swimming pool.

The hotel is located on the best spot for view of the bay. We we upgraded to a suite, and were also given free drinks, for which we are very thankful. Large room, private swimming pool. Very nicely decorated. The view is mesmerizing!! Evangelia from the reception was ever so helpful and friendly.

We decided to dine at the hotel. Bad decision. Got reheated dinner. Breakfast was OK. The resulting upset stomach left me in bad for 24 hours, thus for my vacation in Kafelonia. We were told that the hotel was closing down for the winter in a few days, but no excuse for such an ordeal.

Kind personnel, comfortable beds, very clean bedroom that smells fresh, nice dining room with panoramic view at breakfast! Not located in the middle of the port of Agia Effimia, but at a walkable distance from it so pretty quiet at night !

The complex is built in a coast, and every room is separate like lofts, so to get there in car can be difficult, but Mr. Costa helped us!

The view over the bay was beautiful, and the private balcony adds a lovely touch. The hotel pool was also wonderful, with lounge chairs set out and umbrellas available for some much needed shade during the heat of the day. It's a stunning setting. The bath/shower was also glorious. The shower isn't built for tall people, but with the removeable head, that's not too bad and you can still rinse off pretty easily, not to mention, the tub more than makes up for the inconvenience.

There are so many stairs. Whether you install another elevator, or some outdoor covered escalators, or something else, the hotel needs some additional way to cut down on the stairs. My hotel was at the very top, and the view of the bay was great, but once I was there, I could see that a lot of nearby hotels had a great view of the bay but were closer to the harbor restaurants and shops, and without nearly so many stairs. The driveway was also very steep, making for a bit of a challenge parking with my tiny rental car. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but not exactly luxurious, and the pillows were too firm for my preference. The pool closed at 6pm, so we were rarely home in time to use it. Also, others were clearly smoking on their balconies, which is common in Europe, but since the balconies are only separated by an opaque sheet of glass, I had to hide inside from my neighbor's cigar smoke more than once. Overall, it was a good place to stay and very beautiful, but I think it relies a bit too much on the charm of its location, and not enough on providing comfort to its guests.

we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a private villa with pool, the views were magical, we had the most blissful few days here.

There was very small choice for breakfast. Furthermore there was no service at the table which I think is must-have for 4 starts hotel.

The views were exceptional, the pool was warm and clean.

The walkup to our room was somewhat challenging as the lift was broken, it is almost 200 steps to the top where our room was situated. This was not ideal and did put a downer on our evenings. This being said it is not at all suitable for older couples or couples with mobility issues. Other than that, the hotel was lovely and the staff were more than helpful nothing was too much trouble. The pool and views were nothing less than a delight, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay aside from the hike up to the room.

Lovely big room and balcony with incredible views. Beautiful pool, very comfy sun beds. Everything you need. lots of comments about the steps - the walk from hotel gate to the town is completely flat, so very easy to meander along the promenade. there are quite a lot of steps within the hotel, and between the rooms and the pool, but so worth it for the outlook.

some elements could do with an update, but this didn’t bother us at all. Breakfast was ok, same every day with fairly good selection, though we didn’t enjoy the coffee much.

The management of this property have got a huge potential with an excellent location but not utilised. They need to think of refurbishment.The bathroom was really not nice, a lot of rust around the sink and the walls you would worry to get injured i those and get tetanus. Also no shower screens so if you need to take a shower you will flood the bathroom literally. They provided us with a twin bed (literally 2 single beds pushed against each other) whilst we requested a double bed. We were a couple on our anniversary so we had to literally sleep on separate beds. They provided tea and coffee complimentary in the room but no milk ???? how do you expect us to drink it. When we called to ask we were told to come down the stairs (a lot of stairs cause the lift is not working !!!) they gave us a little tiny amount of milk not enough for a cup, at the end we bought our own milk from the town. The elevator in the connecting the rooms with the lobby was not working so not good for people with arthritis, disabilities or joint pain. Also you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the pool. The breakfast was very basic and not tasty at all, considering you are in Greece that has one of the the best cousins in the world .

the view is stunning, literally breathtaking, the rooms are ideally situated on a mountain side across a beautiful sea. The swimming pool is fantastic, an excellent size and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is light in terms of options, but I enjoyed it.

I want to be honest with this feedback because the hotel which I loved is letting itself down, firstly if you do not like steps then this is not the hotel for you! Our bed linen was changed once in 1 week, the pool bar was closed for 3 days due to illness, however there should be staff reallocated, that’s my personal point of view. WiFi signal in the rooms is weak, TV reception in our room was intermittent.

Staff at hotel are fantastic and look after guests with a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. Bath plug in room allocated on arrival did not work, which i informed reception about as soon as possible. To make up for this we were transferred to an amazing room with it's own private swimming pool. The receptionist and manager were under no obligation to offer this room, but they showed their genuine care for customers which i really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and evening meal was expertly cooked and served. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel, i had a fantastic time and will be back as soon as i can!
