A beautifully located guesthouse that's cozy and tranquil. All surrounding amenities are a stone's throw away from the guesthouse. The rooms are clean, mini bar stocked with variety, parking is safe, hospitality staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Leading up to the holiday, during the planning, Sharon was brilliant at communicating and providing all necessary details to help us plan and prepare for our arrival. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warmth and a special package to ensure we had the best stay! I'd highly recommend Château la Mer Exclusive Guesthouse - it certainly has an exclusivity about it and yet is so very affordable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed them.

We couldn't go out for dinner date because the restaurant around the place closed early. So that it is a disadvantage if u want to go out for dinner date.

Loadshedding and the generator was not working. So no facilities, no tea, no air con, no TV. Breakfast staff very slow, there were 3 waiters serving one table at a time. The shower is positioned in a weird place and caused water to seep out at the bottom.

The restaurant and breakfast was good and staff were very helpful at the restaurant.

The generator did not work even though we were told that it did. Had to listen to the generator being powered right outside the room but had no electricity all night. The carpets and sleeper couch were dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Dirty towels were folded and left to be used the next day. Hand wash not filled despite asking. No emergency light. No 2 pin plugs to charge devices. The fridge was very loud

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious and comfortable and is equipped with everything you need. The breakfast is delicious. We had a beautiful view of the dam.

Willem and Mariaan are exceptional hosts that went out of their way to make our stay memorable, relaxing and comfortable. The penthouse was clean, had stunning views and included all the amenities for our stay.

Unfortunately the staff were a bit noisy, but Willem did attend to that asap.

That we had to pay unrealistic amount for checking in after working hours
