For us, it's always essential WHO runs a place. Jocelyn and Carl, you made our stay at your house a hundred percent enjoyable! The room we stayed in was very nice, the breakfast Jocelyn prepared and Carl served was the best we had during our stay in England, and we did see lots of places!

The room exceeded my expectations. We had a separate living room, bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. Karl and Jocelyn are the new owners. We were very pleased to meet them. They are very warm and friendly people. Their dog was wonderful 😊Breakfast was delicious and plentiful enough. We would be very happy to return to them again.

Great welcome from Mel and Tom. Our luggage was carried up (we’re too old to manage). Our suite was impeccably furnished. Super comfort and attention to detail. Every need was catered for, from fresh milk in the fridge to a proper coffee machine, luggage scales and sewing kit as well as iron in wardrobe. Lovely toiletries. Comfy bed with soft mattress cover and good cotton bedding. Delicious breakfast cooked to order for my husband. Quality ingredients. Artisan bread for toast.

We were on the top floor of a Georgian property so obviously there can’t be a lift. Fortunately we had takeaway food from nearby Waitrose so could stay in and eat in our comfy suite. The pillows were a bit hard. My breakfast pancakes were hard and a bit odd, not “pancakey “. I know I should have mentioned this at the time but I didn’t want to spoil the happy atmosphere and everything else was great.

The room was very big with plenty of space and I love the extra things that come with it like the coffee machine and a Sewing kit

The venue was in a great central location, the rooms were comfortable, clean and very well equipped and Tom was welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The property is centrally located, which means all places of interest are within a reasonable distance. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. The property is finished to a high standard and all needs are catered for. Our room was facing the road, but I have to say we did not experience any noise or a disturbed nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious and there was an excellent choice, there were also a variety of jams and marmalades to choose from. (4 night stay)The rooms are cleaned daily and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. We would definitely recommend this property and we will return again.

Westwood house was a charming Hotel / Inn from which to explore Dorchester and surroundings. Surprisingly quiet despite its Highstreet location, easy access to reasonably priced parking at the Top of Town car park (though we mostly motored around during the day). Rooms are top notch on par with most four star hotels, breakfast is excellent and hosts are charming. Win-win!

I loved the room, it was much bigger than I imagined. There was a beautiful bath and everything needed to feel comfortable 😌 Tom and Melz are awesome! Breakfast is delicious

5 flights of stairs to our room but was well worth it

The location is handy for town centre and the breakfast is excellent. The en suite is high quality. You can't really hear the busy street below.

The hotel has a steep spiral staircase and the smell of frying food pervaded throughout. It was a cold night and the radiators could not get the room warm. In the morning we found a fan heater in the wardrobe.

Gem of a hotel in a convenient location for trips down to the coast. Clean, comfortable, well equipped with excellent service...what more can one want?! Tom was very friendly and made our stay pleasant.

Honey jar was nearly empty, used by many people before Orange juice bottle had been touched by hands of others Difficult tea making facilities in room .tea bags not in packets so touched by others and milks not in small individual cartons

We had a lovely room with beautiful bathroom, a fridge with fresh milk, two tv,s ,one in lounge area and one in our bedroom,lovely bedding and pillows, spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely, we stayed at three different bed and breakfasts this week and it was the best breakfast by far.
