Laurus was our first stop on our journey through Croatia, and it was surprisingly amazing. It somehow created a 4 star experience which, sadly, couldn't be matched by the next 4 star hotels we visited onwards.
From the moment we stepped inside, all the staff tried to help us in any way possible and in a friendly way possible.
The room was spacious and comfy, offering also a stunning view to the sea. To be quite frankly, we've seen 5 star rooms looking inferior to this one.
Then, the restaurant is a real gem. It offers a really luxury menu, but for decent prices. And the staff is also helpful, very polite and.. quick. Since it was quite cold outside, they brought us blankets even without asking. Thumbs up, guys!
Breakfast was also rich in options.
Compared with the other 4 star hotels which we visited in Croatia during the following days, i would say that Laurus is more like a 5 star. And yes, we would definetly include Laurus in our next trip to Croatia.

We couldn't fault this hotel it exceeded every expectation going.. the staff were so kind and obliging.. the jacuzzi and sauna was great and the swimming pool was lush.. the breakfast had so much to choose from and the waiter even asked if I wanted something cooked.. we were so overwhelmed we didn't want to go.. cant wait to book next year for 2024.. A******

The property is spacious with great parking and extremely comfortable beds. The view from the terrace restaurant is enchanting and the staff especially Nicole that greeted us, were friendly and exceedingly helpful. They even gave me a cake for my birthday which was delightful and delicious. The food at the restaurant is great- especially the scampi risotto.
Because parking at volosko and Opatija is difficult, my only issue was that my elderly mother couldn’t walk down the steep cliff to the town. The hote kindly helped us get taxis so this can easily be overcome.

The property is great with all the amenities however it is situated quite steep on the hill and it is a long hike down and up again.

I selected a room with a sea view and it had a really wonderful one to Adriatic Sea.
The room was fairly big, clean and all facilities were in perfect condition. Very quiet, no traffic nearby.

Everything was awesome!! Extremely clean, tastefully decorated, plentiful breakfast, perfect garage parking with ample spaces, and beautiful location with an incredible view of the Adriatic Sea! The staff was amazing, too! Definitely recommend!!

We loved the sea view from our room, the bed was comfortable and it had a nice bathroom. I parked my motorcycle safely in the property grounds.
The pool at the rear was great too.
We walked down into the town it wasn’t too far, breakfast was very good in the morning.
The walk back from town is very steep.
