Location is amazing, right on the beach. You just can’t get better. Staff are professional as well as very warm and personable; they take a personal interest in the guests, which makes a difference. This is in particular the guys working in the bar, and especially Pawan.

I arrived just as low season was starting. They had closed the restaurant and were deconstructing the bar and preparing the whole camp for cyclone season. I decided to leave after 2 days as I was the only guest left!! After some back and forth with the management they agreed not to make me pay the nights I had booked but didn’t stay. The huts are nicely located beneath the coconut trees and in the shade, but quite basic when it comes to level of comfort.

Pawan is an absolute star and does such a great job. Brilliant with people and always positive.

Before arriving we had several emails from the boss. He wanted us to pay in cash before arriving. We were staying in a resort up in the hills with poor internet and we spent several attempts trying to arrange this to no avail. This stress was not what we wanted on holiday. We paid in cash on arrival and all was ok.

We went there because we had stayed there six years ago and we very much liked it. Because, location is nice directly on the beach, good view, easy approach. Staff generally very nice and attentive, special thanks to Ganesh and Monti. Mohan is still there every day, but does not show to much interest any more. Breakfast is just ok, if you have special requests (e,g, soft poached eggs), it takes some time to get the kitchen organised and then it is still a gamble every morning. Cabins are quite large with good AC, on request we got tables and chairs which are not normally provided.

Bathrooms are cabins attached to the main cabin, shower and toilet together meaning everything totally wet once showered, One gets a swiper to push down the rich water residue to the one and only drain, (guest self service) warm water if you are lucky, early afternoon. Breakfast is now stripped down to essentials (eggs,toast, coffee), every additional toast or coffee is extra charge. Not enough sunbeds and umbrellas, as some are fallin apart or are ripped to pieces. Why the management avoids to spend some 200 or 300 € to get a joiner to fix the sunbeds or buy new umbrellas, can not be understood. Very noisy at night, howling or barking dogs around, loud talking from cabins on the other grounds, guests making loud phone calls or having arguments or coming home rather drunk. Don't go there if you are looking for peaceful nights. Generally not to be recommended anymore, not worth the money especially during peak season = high prices.
