the cold ,but it's not there fault!!! the bed are weired they are stranges, not really a double bed not really a single bed.built in the wall , so you can't make a real double bed. just separate from one side to the room to the other. family room is huge like a appartement with 4 beds .en 2 rooms .

We had a great stay for 4 days at the hotel. It is on a human scale with staff always available and pleasant. The rooms are large and clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool and meals at the hotel restaurant. The only negative point is the price of the excursions but it is compensated by the price of the rooms and meals. We will definitely return to this hotel if we return to Luxor.

The best possible place for exploring Luxor, with supremely kind staff. This was our second time at Al Baeirat and should we return to Luxor, we'd definitely go back again. Not to be missed.

The room is very clean with necessary amenities. It has a beautiful authentic simple Nubian decor and style. Staff are so friendly, welcoming and very attentive to every detail and request. Our stay in Al Baeirat hotel was one of our unforgettable memories that we will never forget The place is very beautiful and clean, quiet atmosphere and birds sounds in the morning makes you feel like you are in your own paradise. Fresh breakfast served by a friendly staff welling to help you whenever you need. Beautiful decorated rooms and large swimming pool overlooking the Nile to watch the fabulous sunrise and sunset. Can't recommend it enough. The summarize, al Baeirat hotel is your place if you are looking for relaxation.

Very friendly and attentive staff , always ready to assist you in any needs. Rooms spacious and full of character . Good breakfast in the restaurant with great view on Nile river. Fast and efficient transfers to Luxor city and back by boat . Good hotel to choose before balloon ride and its on the right side of the bank where balloon starts.

It had a lovely view of the Nile and arriving by boat was nice. But then we realised we were a bit lost on the middle of nowhere...

Almost everything else! I am very surprised by the enthusiastic reviews from other travellers. The pictures and comments do not at all reflect the reality. They have clearly not invested in upkeep and it shows. Windows and doors were broken or had holes in them and the furniture was worn and quite dirty. For this price we really expected something of quality, but it was more an upmarket back packers than a mid-upper range hotel. The swimming pool has no loungers worth talking of and it’s cold with lots of dead midges. So we didn’t use it at all. That wouldn’t be so bad if we could have slept but being on the countryside meant that we were woken at the crack of dawn (5am) by the various animals. In addition the mosque is next door. Once it wakes you up, the animals keep you awake. And the mosquitos. So absolutely not for anyone who sleeps lightly. We left after one night, moving to a mid range hotel across the river with much better facilities for the same price. It was probably quite quaint at some stage, but it badly needs renovation to bring it back into that category.

Cute little hotel on the West Bank, perfect if you want to see how the locals live away from the city. We went in July for 1 night and were the only guest there. We got a “family bungalow” which is 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms in a cottage, very roomy! The decor is spartan but nice and it’s all very clean. the A/C is very cold and so are the mini-fridges.Tthey sell beer for only LE40. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the part of the village with shops and restaurants, and it’s easy to find transportation. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a mama dog with 4 puppies on the properties, she is an awesome dog, sweet and loving to everyone. I hope they take god care of her...she is missing patches of hair and seems hungry a lot (I gave her all my breakfast :) )

Coffee is horrible, they should invest in a real coffee machine and real coffee - even and American drip one would be good. I’d happily pay extra for that. Breakfast is pretty simple and it would be nice to get some fresh fruit as well. The pool is nice but will need to be updated soon, it is lined with plastic, not tile and it’s coming off in places.
