The whole experience of staying at the Tumbling Weir Hotel was enjoyable. The check in was welcoming and the room clean and comfortable. The food, including dinner, plentiful and well cooked and presented. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.
The incorrect postcode made locating the hotel difficult but the instructions given over the phone solved the problem.

Fantastic hotel. So clean, comfy bed and great breakfast. The garden is beautiful and the hotel is in a perfect location to visit Ottery St Mary and all the towns and beaches at Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe etc. would highly recommend.

A very clean and tidy hotel the rear garden by the river is stunning The young breakfast helper a credit to the hotel very polite would definitely recommend and will be staying here again

Very comfortable warm room and a quiet scenic spot in the centre of town but well tucked away. Great breakfast.
This is a traditional guest house, generally a little tired and in need of updating but that's what we were expecting and it was very comfortable and clean and the owner was friendly and helpful.

Lovely fresh breakfast, clean room, nice and quiet with a faint church bell.
It was quite expensive to be fair for 1 night and the bed was too small.

Excellent small Hotel, in quiet position, with adequate facilities. Owner & staff extremely helpful. This is a little Gem, tucked away on the outskirts of Ottery, with walks available, and superb eating - both breakfast & Dinner.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the local area. Breakfast was very good. Location was excellent - local walks and easy access to Exeter.

This is a small English hotel close to the historic heart of Ottery St Mary and next to the River Otter. It is very comfortable, we received a warm welcome from the owner and the food was delicious.

Lovely building in a beautiful spot.
Staff were all friendly, polite and efficient.
The room was well appointed and very clean. I loved looking up at the roof thatch above the bedroom window.
The restaurant was closed on the Saturday night.
There was not enought lighting by the bed to read by.

Radiators had thermostatic controls so we could keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of options.
The only tiny niggle was the single glazed windows meant we heard the bad weather as if we were outside, however this did not detract from our stay.

Should be called B&B. Locked up early. No access to anything but yr room come eve. Given front door key to get in/out. No hot water in the morning.
