Only the room was a bit small.

Pillows are very soft and unsupportive (this also happened in other hotels we stayed at too in Tokyo)

Excellent location, amenities, and services for guests. From coffee, tea, laundry, welcome drinks and reasonably priced dinner. It was a great stay. The room size is very typical Japanese and when we asked for an extra set of pillows we were provided them no problem. Great stay.

Nothing that comes to mind but the open area lobby would be freezing in winter.

I loved the cool vibe of the place with its inner courtyard offering free beverages and evening live jazz filtering through the open spaces. The restaurant menu, although a bit all over the place, offers great value just for guests on top quality beef. Be sure to enjoy the baths and catch up on your laundry. Love the lounge clothes provided as well. Staff were super helpful, making efforts even while dealing with language barriers. It was an oasis after a hard day of touristing!

I didn’t like that guests were allowed to smoke in the open air lobby. The wind always seemed to be blowing toward the seating area for the drink bar.

The room was clean and spacious. Our room had a big balcony with a nice view. The hotel is close to the station and several shops and restaurants. The complimentary drinks were nice and brought out the other guests in the lounge for a cool vibe with live music.

The fitness center was not really a fitness center because there were only treadmills available, no weights or other machines. Which was kind of a dissapointment.

Very helpful multilingual staff. A restaurant that is worth visiting for the seafood starters and sliced beef if you just want a quiet night. A free GnT each evening. Breakfast is well worth paying for with a good Japanese vegetable plus pork or dumpling option if you don’t want European breakfast. Room cleaning spot on.

As with all non premium Japanese hotels, there is next to no rail space and only enough room for one case.

洗練された外観と快適な室内環境に、心からくつろぐことができました。大浴場のご用意や、1日1杯の無料ドリンクサービスなど、細やかなおもてなしに感銘を受けました。特に、お酒を楽しめる機会をいただけたことは、滞在をより思い出深いものにしてくれました。

私の見落としかもしれませんが、客室内のコンセントの配置について気づいた点がございます。現状では玄関付近にのみコンセントが設置されているようで、ベッド周辺での電子機器の使用に若干の不便を感じました。

Great location, super close walk to Kyoto station which is where the Bullet Train will drop you if you are coming from a different city so it’s very convenient with luggage etc. The staff are great and there is a 7/11 one corner away

No electric outlets in the bathroom for hair dryer. Only two low watt light bulbs in the bathroom ceiling and no vanity lighting for the mirror so shaving and putting on makeup is next to impossible.

Fantastisk frukost, enormt utbud och väldigt gott och vällagat.

Frukostmatsalen var underdimensionerad så varje morgon fick man sitta utomhus och vänta innan man fick bord. Hårda sängar och lika hårda kuddar.

This stylish hotel is ideally located within a very short walking distance to key Kyoto amenities, including the train station. The hotel is equipped with great facilities like a bar, restaurant and patio that make it more than a place to simply sleep; it’s a place to spend time and relax. The staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions and accommodate requests. The room is slightly on the smaller side which made it tricky to use/access suitcases, but having the balcony was a great compromise!

The bed pillow was too thin for my personal preference. I wish there were bedside tables and power points on both sides of the bed.
