We liked everything! The dar is an architectural jewel lovingly restored. The staff are lovely, kind and helpful. The dinner is the best in Fes — we haven’t had better in all of Morocco.

The building is amazingly beautiful. Rooms are decorated with vintage period pieces but in a tasteful way. Staff is wonderful and helpful. They really want constructive criticism and suggestions from guest to make your stay more comfortable. We happened to mention a few things about breakfast and the very next morning , we see that they implemented our suggestions. we had dinner here 2 nights and food was delicious! It’s home cooked and the best meals we had in Morocco!

the bathroom in our room and our friends room was extremely small. the shower stall butted up next to the tiny sink and no where to put toiletries. the room we stayed in was pretty big but lacking a closet or dresser to put clothes away. I’m guessing they were trying to keep everything esthetically minimal at the cost of comfort. Towels are extremely scratchy. The Riad is difficult to find and the alley leading to the entrance is dark .

Stunning interiors, comfortable furnishings. Our room was large, airy, and quiet. Best nights sleep we’ve had in Morocco. Gorgeous lobby. Enjoy at least one candlelit dinner with fellow travelers. Everyone on the staff was very helpful.

Bathroom facilities could use some improvement, although the shower was great!

The great nod to history is so well curated in dar Saffarine. It is beautiful, complex and desirable.

"Speechless 🖤"...that's how I'd describe the moment we arrived in Fes. The location sits perfectly within the heart of the city but quickly becomes soothing tranquility when you step inside of this oasis ☺️ The architecture and color is stunning and the staff/team make you immediately feel welcomed! I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone and hope to return myself 🙂

nothing. the city was very cold for the standards so inside was kinda chill but was not under the control of the staff.

The dinner and breakfast was great. The room was a comfortable temperature even though it was cold outside. The staff helped us coordinate an airport transfer and made sure we had everything we needed.

Staying at Dar Seffarine exceeded every possible expectation I had. It even feels strange to post a review, since the place made us feel very much at home. I will start with the obvious - the design and magnificence of the place is really stunning and incomparable to other riads in the medina. The attention to detail and aesthetics is impeccable, nothing is out of place there, everything is consistent and authentic. When you enter you get an absolute wow factor, which continues in every room and the rooftop with spectacular views of the medina. I can't say enough good things about the place, I don't think I ever stayed at a place this stunning, with this level of effort put into the design. After dark, the place is partially lit up with candles, which adds up to the overall ambiance. The impression is other-worldly. Moving onto everyone working in Dar Seffarine - genuine, kind, helpful and competent. The theme of paying attention to every detail extends to the staff. they make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The owners, Kate and Alaa, are the nicest, we dined with them one night, they are full of super interesting anecdotes and you can tell they put their hearts and souls into the riad - and it clearly shows! And lastly - the food. I wasn't planning on dining in the riad, as I wanted to explore restaurants around however... after just one dinner there, it was obvious we need to have dinner there again. The food was one of the best I have had in Fes. The meals were full of variety and seasonal produce and never repetitive. The dinner set up is beautiful, depending on how many people have dinner at the riad, a communal table is beautifully set up with candles in the center of the riad. During the dinners you interact with other guests, so you get to meet people from all over. Breakfast has a similar set up, with a Large table filled to the brim with a variety of moroccan delicacies. Overall, fantastic place with genuine hospitality.

The communal set up of dinners and breakfasts may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it, so it's a personal preference.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve been in Morocco. The staff was very nice. The best and complete breakfast we had in our whole trip.

It’s difficult to find and at night a bit scary. Lonely, dark and small streets all around were you get lost all the time. Our room was a bit noisy too.

The Riad was very beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was delicious!

The stairs were quite steep

We really liked Dar Seffarine. It is a little difficult to get to, but beautiful once you get there. The beds are a little firm, the breakfast was good.
