Die Lage direkt am Dieksee ist sehr schön. Aus dem Zimmer hatten wir direkten Blick auf den See. Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Umgebung ist gut geeignet für Radfahrer. In Malente und Plön gibt es ausreichend Möglichkeiten für Einkäufe oder Restaurantbesuche. Das Restaurant im Haus haben wir nur für Kaffee und Kuchen genutzt. Für Naturliebhaber ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren. Sehr gut ist die Möglichkeit die Fahrräder in Boxen unterzustellen.

Leider sind die Möbel in die Jahre gekommen, keine der Schranktüren schließt ordentlich. Die Trittschalldämmung zu den oberen Zimmern ist so gut wie nicht vorhanden, so dass jede Bewegung der Gäste über uns deutlich wahrzunehmen war. Die Deckenleuchten verschaffen das Ambiente eines Großraumbüros. Die bei Booking angegebenen Pflegeprodukte Duschgel und Shampoo sind nicht vorhanden, es gibt lediglich Handseife. Bei Booking werden auch Kühlschränke im Zimmer beschrieben, die gibt es nach Aussage der Mitarbeiter in keinem Zimmer, es ist aber ein kleiner für alle zu nutzender Kühlschrank im Flur vorhanden.

Ok standard, good value for money, clean, good breakfast and dinner at restaurant.

Very strange reception hours: 10-18. You usually arrive after 18 and leave before 10 if you travel for work. I came with an electric car and had checked that it was possible to charge the car at the hotel. However, when we arrived at 19 in the evening, the charger didn't work. There was no staff available to ask and no one answered calls or e-mails. The kind lady in the restaurant finally got hold of the manager who claimed he had activated the charger, but it didn't work anyway. He claimed that he could do nothing about it. Since there are very few available chargers along the roads in northern Germany, this was quite a stressful situation. However, the day after we finally got hold of a very nice young woman who worked at the hotel and who checked the fuses and found out that the fuse for the charger was broken. She quickly solved the problem and that evening we could finally charge the car. So it ended well. But the initial service from the hotel manager was not very nice or helpful, so on average a low score for staff.

A wonderful place, quite, calm and with a fantastic view. We loved it and will return. We went for a walk in the woods, to the other village and took the boat back.

The breakfast can be improved, it was ok but a bit boring. The scrambled eggs needs to be better, the müsli can also be improved. We missed a refrigirator on the room as well as a kettle. Found a kettle in the hall, but the refrigirator was not working.

Wonderful view across the lake. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant served excellent local food, note it closes at 20:00. Good Beer. Outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable. Easy parking and quite except for the odd goose by the lakeside.

WiFi was very weak in the room.
