It was a lovely, semi-secluded villa tucked up in the hills behind Rethymno and yet not too far to drive from the town. With a private pool, balcony and outside barbecue area and plenty of outside furniture it was perfect. The host, Joanna, was very friendly and helpful, and was very contactable throughout our stay to answer various questions we had!

Joanna was amazing at communicating from the minute I made the booking last year. She was incredibly thoughtful and genuine and it made all the difference. The villa itself was incredible: very spacious, really clean, the pool, bbq and table tennis were all great! Our view of the mountains and the sea in the distance were really lovely too. I can't taste Joanna and the villa highly enough!

We hired a car for our week there, it really isn't realistic not to. There is next to no public transport, the villa is over an hour from the main airport and its very high up and fairly remote so it would be too costly to get taxis when you want to get around. We were perfectly happy with the rental car though.

Everything was excellent, we really enjoyed the pool and sun loungers. The villa is well equipped.

The villa is locates up on hill and it’s a bit difficult to find. First time we were lost but then we learned the way.

Good communication with host. Lovely quiet location and great space for the week. Particularly liked having our own private pool area. Car is needed or be prepared to pay for taxi's when you want to venture out but we didnt find this a problem.

The views are superb, the house is clean very spacious and generally well equipped. Contact with the owner was great, very responsive and welcoming. Also the tranquility of the location is great to relax.

There was only one small rubbish bin and we could not separate our waste. Whereas it seemed that waste would be collected by category. An improvement would also be to provide better frying pans.

Everything was really well prepared by the host. The villas are very well equipped, clean, the pool is great. And the location offers a great view.

Agios antonios villas it’s one of the best choice in crete. joanna was always available for every little problem, she came and solved it in minutes. the pool was perfect, cool in the day and warm in the evening / night. the rooms all with air conditioning and comfortable. we were able to check in early, excellent value for money. overall grade? 110 out of 100 surely if we return to crete we will come back here.

Stunning Views . Excellent customer service . Joanna was so helpful friendly and welcoming . Villa was perfect for a family with small children . Watched the most amazing sunrise from the villa rooftop terrace . We celebrated 2 birthdays there and Joanna and Costas made it very special at their restaurant, Taverna Platia . Also they recommend their friends taxi company who we used and the driver was great he picked us up every time and didn’t mind late night with crying children in the car . Such friendly people mare the holiday very special and easy .

Only points to raise were , The sun left the villa around 6 pm in the evening it was nice as it cooled down in the evening but if you wanted Late evening sun , as you are so high up it sets first from there. Also you need To drive everywhere . It wasn’t a problem just a point to note if you prefer to walk to a little restaurant or shop .
