the staff, facilities, rooms and beds were amazing, the moment we arrived in the Taxi we were greeted and helped with our bags. I was with 4 people and all of us were made to have a special experience. While the food was fairly priced (we were backpacking so our budget with slightly smaller) it was delicious. the beds are extremely comfortable and our room was spotless. thank you so much to the team at this hotel for making our stay memorable and relaxing! Hopefully I will return in the future!

the location is slightly out the way, which isn’t the hotels fault but motorbike rentals are around the corner which made up for it

Baan Sawan feels like a private villa with your own cook and support staff. You can enjoy high service standards of a owner managed business and get help/answers fast. Nice rooms, pools and gardens. Additionally to own restaurant there is a top-rated restaurant Mekong 50m from Baan Swan. Don't miss a small but very good restaurant Nely which is not more than 500m if you take a trail shortcut to left after walking about 200m downhill from Baan Sawan. You can find amazing views 2km uphill from Nely (only for bikers or keen walkers) next to the restaurant Heart Shape.

You can walk only to the closest beach. Roads are without pavement and it's inconvenient and not safe to walk more than few hundred meters on the main road connecting different beaches and areas (general issue to consider in Thailand). However there is plenty of public transport to wave down.

Everything! Staff were excellent, we were made to feel extremely welcome. Food was beautiful. The resort and rooms were spotlessly clean! We will return!

You probably need a scooter or a rental car because it’s a bit far from the places (just be aware of this). But it’s not really a problem.

Fantastic resort! Philippe provided top notch service. A great place that pretty much offers everything you with great service on top of it. Bonus: The owners will provide information about local gems if you ask them ;)

The taxis are expensif so better book excursions all included and Well orginazed. 1000 bath for 2 way to the fisherman village for example. Ore rent a motocycle.

Far from the large resorts without any soul, we experienced a great journey at the Baan Sawan Resort which is a quiet, very clean and comfortable resort : Large rooms, bathrooms and balconies/terraces. 2 large swimming pools including one close to the lounge/bar. Very nice continental breakfast… and it is also possible to have a dinner by the end of the day. BUT, the main value proposition from the Baan Sawan is undoubtedly the spirit and the soul of the resort thanks Valerie, Philippe and their staff. Day to day, They all pay attention to customers’ expectations and wellness to make sure we get the best experience and an unforgettable moment. @ Baan Sawan Team : Please do not change anything !

Service: Upon our arrival we were welcomed so warm-heartedly and friendly that we directly felt like having made the right hotel choice. Throughout our stay Joe, one of the staff, and Philippe, the owner, were always available for questions and recommendations. We could easily rent scooters at the hotel and they also organized our taxi transfers for us! Hotel & room: Both super clean and modern. bathroom was spacious with a separate toilet and windows. Philippe told us that they used the covid closure to make some renovations. There is one pool down and another one up and some rooms have direct access to the pool. There is also a little bar and a relax area in front where you can enjoy soft drinks, beers and some cocktails. They also serve food (which we didn‘t try as we‘ve just been there for 2 days - so no feedback possible on this). Location: The hotel is located in a more quiet area up a hill. When you don‘t have a scooter, it is a bit of a way to walk and get somewhere. But as mentioned you can either rent a scooter there or they organize a taxi. Breakfast: toast, croissant, fruits, cereals, your choice of eggs, different juices, marmelate, joghurt, water, coffee, tea. Small selection, but for the price we paid for this wonderful place really nothing to complain about. Thank you for the stay and all the best for you!

Very friendly staff, 10 minutes drive to chaweng. I have to mention that we got upgraded to the best room for free (idk why).

Water pressure is not the best and the water temperature was changing without touching the tap.

The owners and staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my ferry ticket, which I purchased before I arrived, and the owners went out of their way to help. I was extremely grateful. The food is also fantastic. I’d recommend the banana pancake at breakfast.

Very large rooms with excellent facilities. Room was cleaned thoroughly and daily. Fantastic breakfast included with in our price.

Very friendly staff, good food and nice facilities. Nice pool. Breakfast was average but not too expensive and served with a platter of fresh fruit.

The mini fridge wasn't turned on at first and we only noticed after a day so our food in the fridge sadly got spoiled.

Baan Sawan is an absolute paradise. The rooms are super comfortable with great facilities. The staff are wonderful - so friendly and helpful. The owners are a great couple who went out of their way to make our stay perfect, helping to arrange excursions and giving us a tour of the local area. The resort is clean and quiet, but near enough to local shops and the beach. We were able to hire the hotel moped to get around and about. The cook is fabulous and we ate some of the best food we'd eaten during our trip to Thailand. The grounds of the resort are beautifully kept, lush and green. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back in the future.

We liked almost everything about this hotel. First of all: Very, very nice hosts and staff. They gave us useful tips what to do in Koh Samui, we could rent a motorbike there without any effort and without any problems. They also organized a tour to the Ang Thong National Park (which you should totally do btw.), helped us with finding the best and cheapest ferry and and and... If you have any questions, you can e.g. find Philippe at his regular place on the chair next to the reception :) So again a big thank you to all of you! The room itself was nice, cozy and clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom also looked nice. We had a balcony with a view to the pool which was very beautiful because of all of the palm trees around. All in all everything looked very cozy. We can also recommend the breakfast. There was a small buffet and you could also choose from some dishes which are then cooked for you (e.g. fried rice or omlette). The dinner also tasted very good. All in all: Book it. You will totally not regret it. When you arrive, you will instantly feel like you are at home. And they have cute and very well behaved dogs :)

The smell of the air freshener after cleaning the room was a bit too much for us. Also the floor in the bathroom got wet quickly when showering. But these are only minor things.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made us feel truly like at home. Whatever questions we had, they always provided their help with a big smile. Hope to stay here soon agen😊
