The hotel is located in a quiet place within a few minutes' walk to a bus stop (connexions to Rome or Adrian's Villa) and 10-15 minutes walk to major tourist attractions in Tivoli (Villa d'Este etc). The room and bathroom are large and nicely decorated, the bed is very confortable. We heard no no traffic noise (noisy neighbours in the corridor could be a problem as anywhere). The owner and the personnel are nice and efficient, e.g. they provided additional dishes for breakfast, let us store luggage on the day of departure, gave useful adivice. I do not think there's a better hotel nearby in this price range.
The safe was not operational: lock broken and the box disconnected from the wall. It was not a problem for us to carry passports and valuables; the town and its tourist attractions look very safe.

The location was great, close to the most important sights of Tivoli but far enough from the traffic. It took only a 15 minute walk to reach anything we wanted. Our room had a stunning view onto the valley to the west, it was spacious and silent.
Parking was a nightmare without preparing a lot of coins ahead of time. There were no free parking spots and paying by card was impossible. We took the spa room but after filling up the bathtub we noticed that it was actually quite dirty while everything else was clean. The cot provided by the property had one side open and it was impossible to close it up because the zipper was broken so we couldn't put our baby in there. It wasn't a big issue for us but there was no elevator.

Everything went well. I would definitely come back to stay at Il Giardino. The bathroom was fabulous. The rooms were very spacious.

Construction work ongoing next to the room. The garden view is now a view on a construction site with garbage below the window. If you're lucky to have one of the room with a valley view, you're good to go. If not, not so great.

The water from the footbath could not get out...
