Loved the location, easy walk into the centre, parking, and Mike was welcoming and helpful. We will return.

Such an amazing stay here!! Beautiful spot right in the centre of Ambleside. The host was fabulous and the room was perfect, clean and quite :-) breakfast was lovely and just what you needed before a day of walking! I would highly recommend staying here :-)

It did say a five minute walk to town but it didn’t feel like that. The breakfast was pre ordered but delicious and well presented, with lots of options.

The host was fabulous and incredibly helpful. Meadowbank is a beautiful period building with lots of character, was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The garden was lovely to sit out and eat my food while enjoying some of the gorgeous scenery. The breakfast was fresh and very tasty with plenty of options to choose from including homemade yoghurt granola which had a delicious fruit compote! The room was cool enough despite the hot weather which was such a relief.

The duvet on the bed was a bit heavy for the weather and a simple blanket or throw would have been much better. The entrance / exit driveway is a bit tricky, could with that being highlighted prior to arrival. Just to prepare yourself but I may have missed that on the info

Excellent breakfast, lots of choice and plenty of it. The host was friendly and offered us extra toast and muffins to try. He was very accommodating when we asked if he could dry our walking coats for us. Rooms clean and comfortable with free WiFi. Plenty of private parking. Only a short walk to centre of Ambleside.

Minor issue but breakfast was between 8.30-9.00, would have liked a longer time frame of maybe 8.30-9.30.

Very nice location, very nice mister Mike!

The hotel is well situated, breakfast is very good, and host goes the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. Good value given its location, and good views from the breakfast room.

We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for Mike, the proprietor. It was also wonderful to have on site parking.

A period property that stands in its own grounds off the main road out of Ambleside .A warm welcome outside of the official check in time that allowed me to get an afternoons walking in . Much appreciated .

It was very clean, big spacious room, fabulous breakfast, friendly and helpful owner (Mike), parking and location couldn't be better.

The shower was a little small

The accommodation had a good large car park and it was in walking distance of Ambleside, admittedly virtually the last house, but it meant it was quiet. The views were beautiful. The breakfasts lovely. The owner was lovely and friendly and really helpful with information. The bed was lovely and comfy and the TV high quality.

Nothing really - if I'm being very picky - it was a boiling hot few days and the window in our room didn't open and there weren't any fans, or aircon, but I suspect most B&Bs were the same. Breakfast was only a half hour slot (again I'm being very picky) and it was fine for us, less so the teenagers. But I would have no hesitation staying again.
