Big, clean and comfy room. Super friendly owner who takes care of everything. Nice clean and fresh pool. Good food and also some good local restaurants nearby. Great location 5min walking to a beach with few tourists and where you can swim and relax.

It would have been nice to be able to have breakfast earlier than 8-8:30.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed Sands River Hoi An. Located just 10 minutes from Hoi An old town and 5 minutes from An Bang Beach, we were central to everything but enjoyed being away from the busyness. Mrs. Hien made our trip even more special - nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to help all hours of the day. We would 100% recommend staying here and were gutted to be leaving.

Sands River Hoi an, iis a homestay in Cua Dai area. Easily accessible to the local beaches on foot and An Bang by a quiet cheap taxi. The host is charming, supportive, attentive and very, very friendly. She organised taxis, trips and meals for us. Breakfast was filling, healthy and always fresh. The rooms were clean, simple and just what we're needed, we were there 11 nights and felt very much at home. Fully recommended as a booking via booking.com. Family loved it, my third time in the area, and I would rebook to go again in a heart beat.

Convenient and clean villa in a beautiful environment. If you would like to feel like home (or even better) choose this accommodation. Hien is a great host and cooks delicious meals, our favourite was the pineapple pancakes. She also helped us to book tours with best prices, so we only needed to relax and enjoy our honeymoon. Thank you again for everything ❤️ Great location, with bikes the ancient town was a 20 min ride, beach was also in a short walk.

Wow where do we start! Our stay at Sands River was amazing. Mrs Hien is the sweetest woman. She looked after us from the moment we arrived. She booked everything for us, our cooking class, our train to the next town and taxis etc. There was no pressure with money - we paid for everything at the end. Her food was made with love. We enjoyed her home family set-up. The pool is fantastic as well and there is a little courtyard out the back where you can sit and relax. Also there is a beach 300m away from the hotel and the area around the hotel is so peaceful. Would recommend 10/10.

There was nothing we didn’t like. it’s worth noting Sands River is not directly in Hoi An but that said it’s no more than 15mins in a taxi or motorbike. My advice would be rent a motorbike anyway, it offers you so much freedom.

It is located 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. Towels are provided. The lady was very welcoming and nice. She can book a taxi to the airport and tours for you. The room was clean and spaceous with large comfortable beds and air conditioning. Wifi. There is also a cute pool outside. The day before you choose homemade breakfast (Vietnamese dishes/eggs/pancakes etc). Bicycles are free to use and you can reach the centre of Hoi An quite easily in around 25 minutes. You can pay by card (but add 4%) and leave baggage after check out with them.

We loved the peaceful location a short distance outside of the central part of the city. It is close enough to be very convenient without the noise and traffic. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and can set up tours, a car to the airport, etc. if needed, and provided free bicycles to explore the city on. The food provided was also delicious.

beautiful quaint little hotel, close to beaches and a short taxi drive from Hoi An old town. really lovely place with a lovely pool. The host is amazing- she was so helpful and took us to a spa, tailor and the coconut boats. She is very kind and looked after us very well, making us breakfast every day whenever we woke up! We had a great stay and would come again.

It’s not an ideal place to stay if you plan to stay out late at night as you have to ring the bell to wake up the hosts to let you in later at night.

Nguyen is such a sweet lady who is doing extra to make our stay comfortable and easy. She found a rental motorbike in a glance, suggested a spa massage and organised a basket boat tour. She made the breakfast herself and let us choose every evening what are our choice for the next breakfast. The location is perfect for a few days at the beach. And with a rental motorbike to drive around Hoi An and the rural islands around it. I enjoyed the late evening dip in the pool and loved it. The property is also at the bank of the river and gives nice morning views 😊

we loved our stay at sands. perfect location for the beach and close enough from the old town by scooter or car which scooters can be hired from the villa. Hien was our host and was absolutely lovely, always wanted to chat and help wherever possible. Food at sands was a 10/10 which was all cooked by Hien herself, while also taking care of the property and guests. (The Cao Lau was the best we had in Hoi An, and we had multiple). Overall a very warm and welcoming stay and can’t see ourselves staying anywhere else when we come back to Hoi An.

We came back after some days because we liked it very much. Perfect stay for families, Mrs Hien the owner is amazing friendly and helped us even with smal things. Thank you very much for the great stay at your home.

Really nice place. Exactly like on the photos. Room is clean, the toilet is very nice and yes it is all in all a very nice place! The owner is really nice, kind and helpful. If you want a trip or transfer just let her do it. She wants to take care about you. She cooks also very good, and you can eat here as well. She can help you with Tailor or rent motorbikes or anything . 😊 We really recommend this place to visit and stay here. 😍

If I could higher than 10 points, I would. The place is just like on the pictures, amazing atmosphere. Location is also excellent, situated in a cute street, back door facing the riverside with cute restaurants. City center is a 10 min scooter ride. our host, Hien is the kindest person! she prepared home cooked meals herself, arranged everything from scooter, meals, laundry, programs etc. Wish we could have stayed even longer!

Our room (Superior Double) was at least as large as the pictures suggest, and just as nicely furnished. Since we both had to work there, we asked (and immediately got) a small extra table and chair. We were very comfortable during our two weeks there! The location is great, peaceful (as others have noted, there is a small patch of land by the river where you can enjoy the river view) and homey (it's clearly a living town; loads of kids playing in the street, dogs, chickens, etc). But Hoi An is just 3-4km away, easily reachable using the (free) bikes. The bikes can also be used to explore the countryside. Finally, we really liked the breakfast, especially the local option of Cao Lau. The hostess is an amazing cook. (She invited us to a family meal around tet, so we got to taste some of her other dishes! And this is also an example of how friendly and welcoming she is.)

Everything was great! It was just a bit sad that the weather turned cold so we only used the pool once.
