The person helping was not clean. The house was not clean. They also showed the wrong address. We had to leave the double bedroom because it was not clean. We think it was cleaned when we got there since she left us in one bedroom for 15 minutes to prepare it.
We want back our money, we did not sleep in there.

The bed was horrible. the shower seems to be clogged as water accumulates when you shower. The towels are also very old.

The location of the property.
It was not clean, the tv didn't work, there was no toilet paper and the dirty towels from the previous guests were left as to the bedding (it seems like). When I contacted the host, they were very unfriendly and did not seem interested when I said that the place wasn't clean. It was a very disatisfying experience.

The location was perfect for me.
The owner did not seem to bother about the comfort of guests. Property smelt stale, towels were dirty, toaster was not working, only one tea-cup, furniture were all used and poor quality, owner was unresponsive, WC and tap were broken etc
Property should not be let out in that state.

- Additional bunker room with an extra bed
- Room was filled cockroaches despite being charged a $18 cleaning fee (which was not disclosed on booking) and no cleaning done for the 3 nights
- Communication with room facilitator was very difficult and had to have a guard intervene / support
- Bed mattress was old and sunken while towels were thread-bare
- Lack of cleaning services (which may explain the current state)

The Bolton is a nice place except the fact that room 434 was dirty
I booked Rose and Ross, when I arrive at airport I received email pointing me to the Bolton. Pillows were dirty, the place didn't match what I saw on internet. Most devastating I slept on dirty linen while I paid 300+ for cleaning service. No bath soap, no tea.

I would like to give an honest review of my 3 night stay 'Ross and Rose Corporation'. Firstly, the name on booking.com is INCORRECTand MISLEADING. The actual name is THE BOLTON PLACE. This highly inconvinienced me given that I was from a 10 hr long transit flight. On arrival at Rosebank,I had to scramble with my heavy bags searching for the place, nobody had a clue of the place. I am completely new to JHB and this was highly unerving; made me extremely anxious as I frantically looked for the place for almost 2 hours. I tried to call the lady in charge, Rose, but my calls went unanswered and when i did get a hold of her she was unapologetic, unpleasant and unhelpful. The seats are also very uncomfortable.
I urge Booking.Com to promptly intervene and handle this as there are numerous related complaints.
The host needs to improve on her service and put up the correct name and location.
Unfortunately, i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, neither will i return. she was also very Rudd to me when I spoke of extending my checkout time and pay for it.

My phone was stolen in the apartment. Name of the place on booking.com is not the same name of the place. Also different address had to drive around with my friend at night. Visiters parking a far away from the entrance.

Location very good.Building safe and security always friendly and helpfull.
Bed matress not good for adult use at all...looked like a hammock.Kettle only worked when it wanted and after day 2 did not work at all.There is a fan which we liked to use,but it did not have a plugg,so why is it there?Plates were chipped and for very cheap at Pep Home one can buy beautifull stuff without payning a fortune but it will look so much more professional if plates matched and was not chipped.

the linen was not ironed the towels were old and dirty. the blank was smelly. the carpet in the lounge was full of dust. the staff is not friendly. Initially I thought I was being scammed. the address on the advert is different to the actual apartment, this was confusing to me.

The host was very very rude, she was lucky that my Booking was "non-refundable", otherwise, I would have cancelled the booking..I swear that the host will only live on the "non-refundable" line of business, otherwise none can afford her rudeness.
