So cute, so well stocked, the beds were so comfy, the pool was hours of fun. Plenty of room for us, and local family members to hang out. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. Highly recommend this great house!

I wish I could rate this ZERO. This house was advertised as a no smoking home. When we arrived, it reeked of marijuana and cigars! The pool was green, dirty and was supposed to be heated (it was not). When we spoke to the homeowner, Albert about the situation, he did nothing but interrupt us and make excuses. We explained that my husband has Sarcoidosis (an autoimmune lung disease) which is why it was very important we rent a smoke free home. In addition, our son is in the Air Force and the Military Code of Conduct would have prohibited him staying at this property (marijuana is not legal in NH). All Airmen are drug tested upon their return from vacation. Albert assured us that his housekeeper was good and would take care of the smell. He basically had his housekeeper use chemicals including bleach and Febreze to try to cover the smell. We explained to Albert that smoke as well as bleach and other chemicals are health risks for people with Sarcoidosis. We spoke to him regarding the fact that the smell of the smoke and marijuana permeated the furniture, curtains, carpets, mattresses, bedding and towels throughout the home. We explained that if my husband had entered the home it would likely end in a trip to the hospital, abruptly ending our vacation. Albert could have cared less about the situation he had placed us in, he was rude and condescending. He refused to meet us at the property and refused to pick-up our calls to his cell phone. He did however pick up his phone when his maid called telling him that we were at the house. There is no question that he broke the contract and the vrbo doesn’t care. Hold time before reaching a person was 45-60 minutes. Thus far they decided to support the homeowner. They have not responded to our most recent correspondence with them. We were stuck without a place to stay on a holiday weekend. At this point we have a meeting with our attorney next week to pursue damages including the cost of the house rental, eating out, laundry charges, hotel charges and parking fees. This owner is completely dishonest, please rent from someone with morals and a conscience.
