I received a very warm welcome. Felt very much at home. Comfortable bed, in fact I slept in. Exceptionally clean. Lovely breakfast with a great cup of tea. Found my host & hostess very friendly & homely. Thank you both.

Very friendly host and a fantastic home cooked breakfast upon departure. The bedroom and bathroom was spacious and I was able to come and go as I pleased. Plenty of room to park too.

Just like being at home..Very pleased and the owners were so kind and amazing hosts. Stevie, Margarets husband made an amazing full breakfast. Watch out Gordan ramsey. 🍳🍳🍳🍳. value for money is rarely seen nowadays. I would highly recommend the Madden to anyone, I know I will certainly be back. Thanks Stevie and Margaret, oh their wee cat was making sure I was ok too😻..
I wish I could have stayed longer. I have nothing bad to say about The Madden guest house.

The location was perfect for me, but that was personal. Maggy is a nice person, for the type of visit that I do this was more then good enough ,clean good bed , shower available and good breakfast in the morning.
Shower good enough for me but not perfect . also I did not see airco in the room, though not a problem for me as the weather was not hot but can be an issue for when it is warmer.

Although the bed linen was clean, the room was somewhat tired and needed to be refreshed.
However, the breakfast was well prepared and presented and Margaret joined us every morning for a friendly chat at breakfast.
The eaves in my bedroom was a little too low. Also there was no mirror in my room, and overall, esthetically, a lower standard than the other room.

The stay was very comfortable, relaxed and the room was in pristine condition with all necessary facilities required for a business trip (small desk for work; TV; excellent bathroom; etc.). Breakfast provided was lovely. There is also a lovely towpath walk just a couple of mins away.

the owners were very friendly …. breakfast was excellent and the use of the microwave in the evening was just perfect and an extra bonus ….
the shared bathroom however it’s only between two rooms …. but I would return.

Maggie and Stevie were most welcoming hosts. Madden House is a charming guesthouse and very good value.
The road traffic can be a little noisy. However, I was so tired after a day's touring that I slept very soundly.

Breakfast was outstanding and on the days we couldn’t make breakfast Margaret made us a packed lunch can’t recommend them enough 😊
