We have been coming to Seascape Sur since 2008. We love coming and have stayed in many units. We stayed in unit 112 this time. I like the top floor, but the screen door off the balcony was broken and just resting awkwardly against the glass door. I immediately reported it and followed up but it was never fixed while we were there. We were also disappointed the hot tub in the pool area was not working . My kids love using the hot tub. They had to use the other one that was further away this time but it was always so crowded since there was only one working hot tub.

This property is in a great location right on the beach front. However the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the floors, cupboards etc, leave much to be desired. We had to clean the inside of the pantry, cupboards and drawers, also the crockery and cutlery before we could use them, mainly because they had food stuck to them, it seems the dishwasher was not doing a great job. The pantry shelves still had crumbs on them and the inside of the cupboards were dirty and smelly. The washing machine was also not clean. Overall we found the kitchen very un-hygienic and disappointing. The beds in the second bedroom are suitable for kids only, not for a moderate to tall adult. I am sorry to be giving such a bad review because we really enjoyed the location and the Solana Beach area. We would recommend this property with reservations and conditions.

This was the second time we stayed in this specific unit. The views cannot be beat! And it's wonderful to be able to walk down to the beach barefoot. The unit is clean, good for a small group, had almost everything we needed. Our only 2 issues were: 1) no beach towels that we could find! and 2) wifi is slow and doesn't cover the whole unit.

We were very pleased with our stay at Escape at Seascape! The deck is where we sat most every day (and night) enjoying the near 180 degree view of the ocean! There are not buildings close by that limit your view and the sound of the waves can even be heard when sitting inside the condo. The living room furniture was very comfortable. The two twin beds do not have the best mattress, but was suitable for my young teenager. The king bed had a very comfortable mattress, though we do like softer mattresses. There was an issue with ants in the primary bedroom and bathroom and in the kitchen. Traps were set so I know they are trying to work on it. Having lived in Solana by the beach before I know it is a never-ending battle in the summer. The kitchen does not have the newest dishes, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans, but we found everything we needed. The fridge is very nice - clean and new! Dishwasher worked great! There are two showers in the bathrooms that are nice and big and water pressure was excellent! We also were really impressed with the location of the condo. Close to the beach access (which is nice and secure with a coded gate) and close to the parking garage entrance and well spaced assigned parking spots. Seascape has really nice grounds, we enjoyed watching the Koi fish. The pool felt great and the hot tub was the perfect temperature. We are hoping to book this unit again next year. Great condo!

Was very nice for our family of four! We arrived on a Friday and left on a Friday. Husband and I had our own bathroom and space and our adult children had their own! Bed in master was fabulous but beds in second bedroom were hard and could feel springs in them. Probably ok for younger kids but adult girls was not comfortable. View from balcony was fabulous! Ants became a problem around Monday evening when they showed up in the kitchen. There were already ant bait traps in the unit so they were aware. Over the next few days they showed up big time in master bath. At least they were small and not the big black ones that bite like we have in ND!! 🙂 overall pleasant stay and would recommend.

The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans, dishes, cooking utensils etc. The customer service from the management company across the street was excellent! It was easy to borrow beach gear from there for the week. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing beach get away. This was our first time to Solana Beach (we usually go to Mission or Pacific Beach) and this was so quiet, with no crowds, even on the weekend. That was wonderful! We will be back!

Overall, I was very impressed with this condo. It had the most beautiful ocean view, comfortable beds, nice living room with a TV. Most importantly, this area was safe. It's a gated community and keys are required to access the garages and pool areas. As a young woman who is travelling, this is extremely important to me. Additionally, I was so impressed with my ability to efficiently work remotely. The wifi on my laptop was perfect and allowed me to get work done. The neighborhood is so peaceful. Communication with Stubbs' rental property was great. They were so responsive and even provided me with extra materials when I needed them. They addressed all of my concerns in a timely manner, which I appreciate so much (i.e. wifi connection, ants).
Cons:
I was not satisfied with the dirty dishes upon entering the condo. In order to feel comfortable, I had to hand wash the dishes prior to using them. I was shocked when I picked up a piece of clothing, I had left on a shelf in the master bedroom closet and saw a swarm of ants crawling underneath it. Additionally, the wifi in the master bedroom was extremely slow. Every time I tried to use my phone in the condo, it would take a long time to load information. Lastly, the flimsy blinds in the living room (that open up to the ocean view) were flimsy and kept falling. It was an inconvenience opening these blinds. If these things were fixed, this place would be a fairyland.

The pictures on VRBO tell the whole story. The property is oceanfront with an unobstructed view of the ocean. My wife and I appreciated the spaciousness of the property. Before we arrived we didn’t care for the idea of picking up the keys from the property manager but this was a godsend. There is a gate for both the building and garage and some direction on how to get around the property was much appreciated. The inside of the property is not fancy but very functional. If we go to Southern California next year we will try to rent this property again.

This condo is in an ideal spot in the town of Solana Beach. The views of the Pacific are breathtaking, and the complex is lovely with the pools, tennis and hot tubs. I love the condo itself for size and layout. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family, and hope to stay there again some day. My only minor complaint is that it seemed there was a quick clean before our arrival, and maybe a little more attention to detail (kitchen floor, front steps, bathrooms) would have been nicer. The kitchen has most of the necessities for making simple meals. And Stubbs property management were very helpful with our few questions. Solana is perfectly located to San Diego and all the hiking, shopping, dining and other towns along the coast. It was our first visit in San Diego and having this condo as a home base was perfect! Thank you!!

We stayed for 6 weeks at Seascape Sur from mid Jan-all of February. The unit (112) was immaculately clean and perfectly located just steps away from the garage (with 2 allocated parking spaces) and steps away from the stairs leading onto the beach. But it is the unobstructed view of the water that is the most dramatic feature. The management company was responsive to a couple of minor "fixes" . The only two downsides were the inefficient heater in the Master Bedroom and the "sketchy" internet connection.We loved our stay and have re-booked for next year

Pros: The views, beach access and surrounding shops & restaurants are the best! The unit had plenty of room for our family of 3 adults and 2 kids with 2 cars. We had a very good getaway!
Cons: it’s an older condo, a little drafty. The gas fireplace was our main heat source on cold mornings, romantic but not our familiar central heat! Bring slippers & sweaters. The beds were just ok. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware, although it’s all dated and worn.
Tips: we had a hard time finding some things like pillowcases, towels, tall trash can; check the dryer and all closets, not just the logical places! 🤣

Overall, we had a good experience at Seascape Sur. Our top floor oceanfront unit had a wonderful view, easy access to the beach, and the grounds at Seascape were very well-kept. The twin mattresses in bedroom #2 could use an upgrade, especially if used by adults. Also note that there is no air conditioning (as stated in the description). It was only an issue for a couple of days, and there was a cool breeze off the ocean every evening. This was our second visit with Stubbs, and we have found them to be great to work with, and will very likely work with them again, especially since we like the Solana Beach area.

It was a great stay with my family of five. The view from the room is so nice I was watching outside from the couch most of the time. The breeze was nice and did not think we need a AC. Easy access to the beach. There was enough pots, pans, dishes and silverware for the family. Many restaurants in the area. Red Tracton's Steakhouse was delicious. The only complaint was the pillows and sheets did not smell fresh and had a smell of a body odor. The towel holder in the bathroom came off, but told the property management right away and told us they will take care of it within the insurance that was paid. But overall, the stay was awesome!!

Fantastic beach vacation!
We loved our stay in this Solana Beach condo. It was right on the water with fabulous views and ocean beaches. Restaurants, shops and live music were an easy walk away. The condo was well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. June was a great time for us to go. The weather is a little gloomy which we didn't mind since we're from Arizona and get plenty of summer sun here, and the positive of that is that it's not quite peak tourist season, so it wasn't crowded on the beach and we had no trouble getting into restaurants. We enjoyed it so much that we've already booked again for next year.

Stairs aplenty
If you’re looking to increase your daily steps, this is the place! Excellent location with spectacular views and beach. Beach access is via many stairs as well as throughout the property. Quiet complex. Easy access to area attractions. Was missing salt and pepper. That’s it. Would certainly stay again!

As usual, the weather was incredible, even though it was the last week of November. Playing on the beach all day, even surfing and swimming without a wetsuit in the afternoons. (We usually visited the hot tub to warm back up after being in the water.) The view from the condo is incredible. It is also very close to the beach stairs and convenient for going back and forth to the beach. Parking space is close by also. Condo interior was clean and comfortable. The master bed was amazingly comfortable. We slept 9-10 hours straight and woke up with our backs feeling great. This was roomie and attractive and comfortable. Very quiet except for waves and birds. Private but great location. Superb large bed. Small bed were ok. We stayed 8 days and enjoyed everything about it. And the folks at Stubbs were top notch.

Overall good, however the unit next door 114 had a loud chirping ADT alarm that went off ever 30 seconds!!! The entire week!
The housekeeper who we bumped into on day 2 , shut all the windows in the unit, which helped, we contacted Stubbs, asked them to call HOA so outof town owner could remedy. No luck.

Great location, but lots of ants!
The apartment is overall pretty good, right next to the stairs down to the beach, but they have a major ant problem. The ant traps in the apartment don't seem to do much as they show up in all rooms, including in the bed.
The rental office has really nice beach chairs available if you need them. Lots of towels in the apartment, and they give you detergent for a few loads of laundry.
Sunset views from the balcony are spectacular, especially once the patio glass is clean (the first day they were pretty dirty, but the rental office's glass cleaning crew showed up the next morning to clean, with advance notice fromt he office).
Ultimately, we got the beach trip we wanted, and for that we're grateful!

We loved the unit and the views are unmatched. Fairly outdated and could use some upgrades for sure. We will certainly rent this unit again but only if the twin beds are upgraded. They are awful and the springs stick out in places. We had to put down comforters for our children to lay on because it was so uncomfortable - like sleeping on a box spring.
