Amazing little spot in a fishing town with an almost private beach experience. The huts had wonderful porches where your meals and drinks could be served right to you. If we wanted a better view of the beach there was a plethora of seating near the bar and on the beach as well. A mosquito net was provided but it was not necessary. All our tours and transportation was organised by the host which made everything very convenient and stress free.
The local dogs were very friendly and we met a puppy we named Dobby who was always waiting to greet us in the mornings and after a long day of touring.
The water pressure was strong some days and weak on others. No issues otherwise.
4.2
- they let us check-in early for free
- staff is really really nice
- beautiful mornings, before music starts
- WiFi 10/10
- nice breakfast, 4 different choices
- restaurant is pretty pricey, but the food was delicious
- beach is so-so, definitely not among the nicest in Palawan, dirty with trash and during low tide the water disappears
- you can rent a scooter for 2 days minimum
- loud music all the time, not relaxing at all, even late into the night. Cottages have zero sound-proof
- the cottages are very very small, no hangers or shelves or stools, nowhere to put your things so you have to have them on the floor and step over them
- a hanger for wet stuff on the tiny terrace would be nice, so you don't have to hang them all around table, chairs and fence
- we had a rat bitting our things (we saw it once, but it pested us 2 nights), we threw away some of them because of contamination
- count extra 2000 PHP to the price for transfer to and from accommodation (it's 35 min drive from El Nido)
- price is the same as somewhere in El Nido, but the accommodation offers way less

I have fully enjoyed my stay at Zhaya's.
The location is just perfect, it is a little paradise.
They have a great kitchen and a great bar.
I had the best food and the best cocktails at this place.
The staff is super friendly and helpful, just ask for whatever you need and you'll get it.
I was completely spoilt during my stay and I can't wait to go back.
I liked everything.
4.2

Breakfast is very good but not much choices, staff was great but Road to go there is very bad
If the road is better, means of transportation needed improvement
4.2
Right on the beach and within walking distance to a fishing village to buy supplies if needed.
Bungalows are very small. The only place to store luggage is on the floor

The workers were great
Bar area… no place to unpack.. very small rooms
4.2
Amazing friendly staff who were incredible helpful. Beautiful place very secluded around 45 minutes away from el nido main town. Good food and attentive service, you get what you pay for with the property but it doesn’t take away from the natural beauty surrounding it.
The sand flies are pretty bad

The place is quite lovely and the meals were all delicious. The owners and staff were absolutely lovely.
The beach was not great for swimming.
4.2
The location was beautiful. Very simple accommodation, but we expected that. We loved being in the little fishing village and walking right out onto the beach. The food was great!
It was very hot at night and the fans weren’t great, so it was hard to sleep. We also had barely any water pressure in the sink and shower except for the last night.
4.2
Cute little huts directly on the beach, providing access to a beautiful beach. Friendly and accommodating family owned staff who were so helpful and cooked beautiful food.
Nothing we didn’t like as was experience we were after.
Not to other travellers that you need to access via a foot bridge and bathroom facilities are simple.
Need to access atm if you want to pay for food drinks, which is located in the village before the school.

The two ladies running the place were absolutely amazing. We loved our time here. We were looking to escape the tourists and this place was perfect. We also loved the proximity to Duhli Beach

The people who own the place are so lovely and accommodating. When we arrived, we were collected from the airport by a trike. We travelled both in normal roads and on mud/dirt tracks - it is a bumpy ride.
Then, after this, we stopped by a river where the driver(the son of the couple who own the cottages) carried my case up the stairs, over the bridge and during the 2-3 min walk through the traditional fishing village.
The cottage and the view are so beautiful. They have a tiny little bar which is decorated in pretty fairy lights.
Room and bathroom are mostly clean for what it is - considering it is an outdoor, open air hut.
Fan is strong and definitely enough unless you really don’t like heat…
They arrange scooter for you at a very good price!
They arrange Tours with lunch at amazing prices.
People in the fishing village are so kind, friendly and welcoming.
Ice cold beers are available for when you get in and there is a little rustic seating area with lights above for you to sit.
If you are someone who only likes camping - you would definitely like it here. The showers aren’t amazing and it isn’t glamorous but a great experience. The stars at night are amazing!
Lastly - it is a small cottage more like a big tent size. You have the space of perhaps a single bed to move around at the right side of the bed.
The journey to the property really is a long one from the town. It is very safe but just very long.
You do have to leave you scooter on one side of the river, cross the hanging bridge then walk through a small fishing village which could be daunting for perhaps some.
The beach is a lovely walk but it has tonnes of rubbish washed up - you could bring a plastic bag to help collect some.
Mosquito net is big enough but does have a few tiny holes.
Sheets for bedding need replacing - TOP TIP just ask for another sheet and use both white sheets as the bedding.

I guess the staff is best and they do everything with a happy face.
always willing to ensure the guest is feeling good.
I can see how so many guest have loved the experience of staying here as it gives them a sense of living within a fishing community.
however, we felt that property and rooms are not of the standard you expect while you travel to an international destination like El Nido. the rooms are really tiny and bed is very small and not enough for two people. there is literally no space to keep even a bottle in the room. the washroom is tiny and water flow is very slow. we could have adjusted with all this but the biggest turn off was the litter and garbage on the beach during low tides. We had to leave just after a day though we had plans for 3 days.
however. the cafe next door is world class and serves some amazing food.
4.2
Beachfront property. Food is good. Staff is helpful
With what we needed an extra bed for.no extra cost
I hope there were small cupboards or cabinet to put your stuff. Hanging lines to hang wet clothes.the beds were just reight for 2 so dont bring any kids as the beds are not big enough.bigger rooms and bigger bed in the future.all rooms were only fan hope.there was an aircon room as well but maybe they are building one as there was one room under construtction.
If you want plenty of choices for good restaurants nearby there is none here..but u can order from thw resort though. Free water only during meals otherwise u have to pay for bottled water. Bring ur own coffee they can provide hot water to drink too.

I’ve been traveling for 8 years in total (mostly hostels and recently hotels) and I’ve never written a review before
but this place in my eyes shouldn’t be a hotel, the staff are lovely but the place as a whole is terrible there was no room to put your bags cottage, the mosquitoe net had holes in (which I got bitten really bad). the electricity didn’t work from 12am-5am which made it hard to sleep.
plus getting to the cottages is hard you have to walk over a bridge to get the and the locals definitely didn’t like that there where tourists in there village.
so I wouldn’t recommend it, I don’t understand how the it has such a high rating. we ended up checking out a day early.
I’d recommend just to stay in the town of el Nido and get a scooter to travel around

Excellent! Though it is a small family business runs by Jun, he is so attentive and helpful. He even be one of the potters to carry our big luggage across the hanging bridge to the place. He even cooked for our late lunch. The Tuna Sinagang was the best ever in Palawan.
The excess which is inconvenient as there were no other way except to climb the hanging bridge over the river and to walk through kampung houses about 150m to reach the place.
4.2
Fantastic food lovely staff and always helping out if any concerns due to travel around.
Daily power cut of average 10h poor wifi, dirty neighbors lots of rubbish

It is right on tne beach
Difficult to gey to

too hot in the room

exactly as we had expected, a lovely cottage on the beach. The food from the restaurant was very good and we enjoyed eating there. Cold water with ice was provided with meals and the staff were happy to refill my bottle.
It was very hot in the cottage with only a fan, but we managed. Lots of ants came in also and I had to cover my legs in the evening because mosquitoes will bite me. Lots of the chairs in the seating area were broken, but we managed just fine.

Zhaya's Beach & Cottages is exceptional place! We visited 5 different places on 4 other islands and this was the best accommodation we had. It's right on the beautiful beach - we were alone there most of the time. They cook exceptional food and there is only 5 cottages so it's very private. Staff is so welcoming and they provided us with everything we asked for. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nothing.
4.2
The Bungalow and the Foods.
Nothing.
4.2
The accommodation is located in Bucana, 30km north of El Nido, and passed the surprise of how remote this place was (we had not done our homework properly and thought we were booking something in El Nido town, not El Nido province) we really enjoyed our stay. The bungalows are small but clean, the location is pretty quiet (bar the geckos and roosters), the food was good and the family owning the place is very kind and helpful.
Be aware that there is not much to do in the area. The tricycles leave you at the hanging bridge (and then it's a 5 min walk to reach the accommodation). Only a couple of places to eat/drink outside Zahya's. Duli beach is accessible by walk (lovely although quite a hike and more if a surf spot), and it'll take you a solid 45min to reach Nacpan beach with a tricycle.
4.2
I loved the amazing location as it is located right by the beach! the cottages were designed so nicely and comfortable.
Maybe the fact that you need to cross this floating bridge and walk another 10 minutes to get to the location.
4.2
You can really disconnect here.. small little charming huts.
It's hard to get there, no road behind the bridge.
4.2
I really enjoy the location its very relaxing and comfortable, peaceful and clean. The food is good too, there cook is pretty good.
Everything is fine but the only thing missing is they didn't provide soap and shampoo, coz in every accommodation customer always expect to have soap and shampoo but they didn't provide it.
4.2
The stay is very minimal, as we expected, and the good side of it is that you can be immersed in the Philippines' culture (you are in a small local village).
The food also was good, and the staff also.
The location is fine too, waking up in front of the beach and sleeping with the sound of the sea: wonderful.
Really, the worst part of this stay is the trip to reach it.
We recommend you take a taxi and not the scooter, if so leave it BEFORE the hanging bridge and DO NOT take the other street (T E R R I B L E!) that bring you to the other side of the bridge.
Watch out, it could happen that there is no electricity - happened to us for one day (out of three).
4.2
Great place to be, nice family and delicious food
The menu looks great, but unfortunately just a few meals were available to order. However, it was really tasty
4.2
amazing location right on the beach. food and drinks available. mosquito net provided. Staff were helpful when we were sick eg bought us Gatorade from the store!
