While this house isn't the most expensive house on the block it wasn't cheap by any means.
Cons:
No ceiling fans in the house. For an area known for no AC having no ceiling fans is a problem. There are 3 floor fans that barely do anything. It was so muggy in the house. Even with all windows and doors open. The worst part is both the living room and bedroom could have fans. The power is there.
The floors are very dirty. After about 5 mins our feet were black.
The rug in the living room isn't the same as the picture. The current one is made out of the same material outdoor furniture is. My kid scraped his knee on the rug multiple times. Bad enough to bleed.
The kitchen is nice but there are a lot of issues. One fridge door hits the wall one hits the oven door. You can only open them about 45% of the way.
air and water filter need replacing
Can't open the microwave door all the way. Hits the stove.
The BBQ has a burner on the side that is falling off
The owner lives up stairs and tends to move his furniture around a lot for some reason? He also has a small dog that yaps at people walking by. Woke me up at 6am.
The Wi-Fi isn't very strong. The TV won't really connect. The only streaming option that works is Netflix and just barely

Our family had an amazing time at this beach house! A very quick walk with the kids to the beach, great beach for little ones! The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen, coffee pot and filters, even dishes for the kids! The neighbors were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great location, great house!!
My only tips, in this particular house, rent the rollaway twins, because the mats weren't comfortable for my kiddos. For older kids or adults, I wouldn't even attempt not renting them, The included floor fans really helped us with weekend night noise. Ask about any construction in the area, immediately across the street in front of the house, an entire house was gutted and being worked on early morning throughout the entire day on week days. We were gone during the day, but mornings and dinner time were noisy.
10/10 would stay here again. Hopefully construction is done next time we visit! Thank you Newport Beach!!

I thought the property was very nice. Just one suggestion..it would be great if you could provide instructions for the TV. Also if you would let visitors know what streaming services are available and how to access them. Also the heating unit in the back of the rental is a little sketchy. It was making a banging noise so I just didn’t use it.

This was a great stay! Location is amazing. Close to the beach, grocery store, ect. The only complaint we had was the noise upstairs. It was pretty loud at times and early in the morning. Other than that, great stay!

Pictures definitely did not do it justice. Just what we needed for our long weekend away! Beach was across the street, grocery store a short walk away next to awesome food locations as well! We were able to ride bikes everywhere and easily get to any spot we wanted! Highly recommend this place!

I would not stay here again as a family of four.
When we checked in there was a massive amount of flys everywhere. We contacted the property manager and we’re told to keep the doors closed. Coming from Arizona we don’t rent a beach house to keep the doors closed and ESP when there is no AC. Finally after a few emails, I called and they sent someone who also saw the massive amount of flys. They said it was the trash can, and he hosed off the front. We didn’t even want to spend time in the house because of the flys. Bring your own soap because they put it in a ketchup bottle looking jar- gross! We will not be staying here again. The owner lives up stairs and we didn’t feel like we have privacy.

The only issue is there were some things that were not what they should have been and I did leave a list of those things when turning in the unit keys last night (08/28/2021). Cleaning fee is included but be prepared to not only wash the dishes (which is ok), but put everything away when you leave. The prop. mgmt co. was the biggest disappointment. Location and cleanliness of the unit was good.

This beach bungalow is nicely decorated, large enough for a small family and in the perfect location to the beach, restaurants, grocery shopping etc. The front patio is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by, but the neighborhood is quite and street parking was easier than we expected. Would love to come back again!

This house was so cute and convenient to the beach. It’s small, so I would definitely say it’s 4 person (2 adults and 2 kids max) more than 2 adults staying would be a tight fit. We would definitely recommend this for a small family.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this property for 8 nights and found ourselves overwhelmingly disappointed in the whole experience for a multitude of reasons.
1. Cleanliness: where do I begin. I found a used, dirty bandaid stuck to the glass candle by the front door upon entry. They supplied 3, unmatched wine glasses all of which were filthy and had to be washed again. The patio table looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. I had to use the solution from under the sink to wipe it down and the paper towels were black after I was done.
2. Lack of supply: we were given 2 rolls of toilette paper for an 8-night stay so we had to buy our own after that. There weren't any basic necessities like body wash or plastic baggies available in the house either.
3. Check-in process: the woman from the property management company was friendly, allowed me to check in late and made arrangements to have the keys in the lock bock when we arrived which we appreciated. Unfortunately, we were still forced to drive 10 minutes away to sign a one-page document stated we wouldn't smoke, have more people than agreed upon, etc in the house. I've stayed in several rentals in Newport throughout the years and have never had to plan my day around signing a piece of paper to "officially" check-in. That was a huge inconvenience as we were both working from home for the week and had to interrupt our workday to sign something that could have easily been done digitally.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway to Newport!! This cute little place was perfect for our family! Very aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need.
