The hosts are very cool, friendly, and the dog is adorable! There's definitely a vibe at this place. I really enjoyed my time here even though it was only for a day as it got booked for the rest of my days in the city unfortunately. Rooms are big, the whole place is clean, beds are comfortable, no complaints.

The location is a bit far from the center and Sapporo station, 30 to 40 mins walking distance. There's a train station nearby though but if you walk now you know.

Cosy hostel with clean and well maintained facilities and great service. Close to train and Nakajima Park (perfect for morning walk).

The family (4 pax) room was cosy and comfortable but a little small to fit all our medium-sized luggage because of the dog cage in the room.

The staff is awesome, the ambient is chilling, free laundry, and they have great food as well!

There is a lack of space to dry the washed clothes. But other than that, a highly recommended hostel!

We loved staying at Arura. It was so tidy and clean, spacious and private yet homely, welcoming and sociable all at the same time. The location is the perfect distance from downtown, just a short stroll to the tram stop which is easy to get anywhere in the city. We were there in winter so the city was covered in snow but can see that the park nearby would be perfect in warmer months. Loved that Arura is pet friendly and everyone was so kind and friendly.

Only minor thing was the rumbling of the heaters was heard in our room being on the bottom. It was quite loud, but surprisingly was more of a white noise for sleeping. If we weren’t exhausted from exploring or wanted to spend more time in our room, it may have bothered us but we got used to it quickly.

The location of this hostel is fantastic - close to Nakajima Park and between subway stations. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Hostel was very clean.

The 4 bed female dorm is next to a small common room - so if people are loud in the common room, you will hear them. It would be nice if the bed had a small shelf to place items.

The location of the property was relatively close to the city centre! You can easily take the tram from the city to the nearest stop (Gyokeidori). The staff was very friendly and gave me a towel to use rent free. The facilities were clean and there was no hassle with keys or keycards because everything is locked with a digital lock.

What I did not like was the unlocking mechanism from the inside of the dormitory. People accidentally try to unlock the door the wrong way and thus an alarm sounds (which is very annoying when you’re trying to sleep or you waking up like that). The fault lies not with the property, however, it might not be a bad idea to inform the guests properly though, so annoyances like that don’t occur more frequently!

The place was exceptional! The staff very friendly, the dog super friendly, the installation were amazing, super cozy. Was a pity that I have stayed 2 nights... I have stayed the all month
