We arrived late at night, and front desk was closed, but we were able to communicate via text with our property manager and got into our unit just fine. The unit and facilities were as described and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

We have 2 gripes that would keep us from staying here again. 1. The balcony has the ac condenser (?) on it. There is a constant humming coming from it so you don’t have the experience of hearing just nature. It also puts out a lot of heat so with it being a small balcony you have to go to the opposite end to be comfortable. I’m assuming the entire resort is set up this way and not specific to this unit. 2.The ac is on a 6 hour timer so at some point it turns off while you sleep and while your away exploring the island.

The condo was exactly as described. Spectacular view of the ocean and very clean and spacious for the four of us. We would wake up every morning to enjoy our coffee on the patio overlooking the ocean. Decent quality sand chairs and a cooler were provided along with snorkel gear. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

My family of 4 truly enjoyed this beautifully updated condo. The gorgeous kitchen and great room has amazing views. Great space with all the essential beach accessories. My kids enjoyed the boogie boards and Mauiopoly. The grounds are well maintained. We enjoyed pool/hot tub in the evenings.

Condo was as pictured. Loved having coffee on the lanai every morning. The grounds were beautiful. Always found parking. It would have been nice to have more than one kitchen towel. Would definitely stay here again!!

We loved our time here! It is exactly like the pictures. It was the perfect size and location for our family of four. My husband and I spent lots of time on the balcony whale watching - it was amazing!
We also really appreciated Darci helping us with all the activities prior to our stay. She was awesome!

Lovely condo with just enough space for our family of 4. Loved having breakfast on the balcony watching turtles swim in the surf and whales breach in the basin. Well located for access to Kaanapali and Kapalua. Clean and well furnished. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Papakea resort for a week in June 2023. The condo was perfect for my husband and I and our two boys, age (almost 18) and 21. My youngest used the snorkle gear, had his own fins, and swam out past the reef almost every day. We were 20 minutes from our beloved Lahaina, and I believe this resort is still standing as I think it was beyond the fire. (My heart is breaking for Maui and the victims of the Lahaina fire.) If you are looking for a nice place to stay on vacation, this is still it. The only tourist thing we did this time was the bike ride with the Maui Bike Company, which was great. (Do that on your first night so that waking up at 130 AM to get there by 3 AM is not a problem. Don't know if the roads are open now or not.) Would love to return in a year or two. Thank you!

We had an amazing week in this unit. The view could not be better, the unit was clean and very comfortable for the 4 of us. The proximity to the beach and the pool was great! Nothing but great memories from our week staying in this location.

We had an amazing trip to Maui. It was our first time ever visiting Hawaii and what a great trip we had. Staying here was one of the best decisions we made. We seriously went back-and-forth between this unit and staying at one of the large resorts close by. After visiting one of the resorts, it was clear, we made the right decision. Everything is so clean, beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. The grounds are meticulously cared for. The unit was beautiful and well-appointed. The beds were comfy. The view was fabulous. Every meal we ate in the unit, we ate on the porch overlooking the ocean. It just doesn’t get any better than that. The memories we made were priceless, and lots of those memories were made right here in this unit, at this property.
Highly recommend using Deming’s delivery service. We had a late arrival after two very long flights so we had Demings go ahead and pre-shop for us based on a grocery list that we provided. Such care went into shopping for us. She even used coupons on many items for us. I sincerely appreciate her taking that extra step. It was wonderful experience that I would not hesitate to use again.
Restaurant recommendations: Honu, Mala, Kimo’s, Fleetwoods, the Farmers Market Maui (take a left out of the property and it’s may be a mile down on your right), and the best cinnamon rolls ever are right outside the property to the left, on the left at Papi’s Ohana (get in line before they officially open).

We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the property and amenities. The property was well kept and quiet…we especially enjoyed sitting on the lanai and watching the ocean and whales. The location is close to activities and food. Would highly recommend staying at this property!

Exactly as described and pictured. Huge bonus was watching the whales from the lanai. The first morning a water pipe burst impacting the entire resort but communications were great and water was restored by afternoon. We would love to stay here again! Food truck park a short walk away was great. We were in the ocean several times on the sand beach just a short walk away. Whole family loved it. Great beds and quiet for sleeping.

This listing was just as expected! Location was perfect. Walking distance and view of the beaches that are easily accessible. We were able to swim every night! Views of amazing sunsets and whales galore in the stunning ocean view from the Lanai. The condo was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The condo was stocked well too. The only issue we had was the surprise daily service fee from the management company. We ended up with around an extra $150 that had to be paid separately upon check-in, that we weren’t expecting or aware of. However, it still wouldn’t deter us from renting here again. We will definitely be back and stay at this location if we’re able!

Terrific property, will all of the amenities needed for a memorable holiday. The location is perfect, to watch the sunset and the world go. The management team was responsive and prompt in fixing an issue that we encountered.

Beautiful property! No assistance whatsoever with problems regarding a/c unit. Very cold upon arrival and then it didn't work the rest of the trip. Called/texted for assistance and I felt like we didn't matter. We opened the slider and all windows for breezes. Screen door broken and pieces were falling off. Other things were broken upon arrival not fixed before we got there, hopefully the next guests were taken care of due to our noting of these problems. Lovely trip and a beyond gorgeous view! Would have liked to have had someone care though. I wouldn't book again, sorry to say.

We found the condo to be a good base for exploring west Maui and beyond. Also, we had a great view of the ocean, islands and sunset from our lanai. Clean place, spacious enough for four. We appreciated the beach gear (boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc) in the closet - a pleasant surprise!

Condo was as described and very well stocked. The umbrella was broken and there were a couple minor other things but none of that impacted our stay in a negative way at all. Perfect for a family of 4. Absolutely loved the sunset views and waking up to a view of Molokai and swaying palm trees every day. You can go to the beach right next door but it is narrow so we opted to drive down to Ka’annapalli area for the beach. Lots of great snorkel areas and we saw turtles right outside the condo a couple times. Overall 5 stars!

This condo was perfect for our family of 4. We saw whales from the lanai everyday! The sunsets were spectacular…very lovely accommodations. We would definitely come back for another visit!

Great ocean view, great upgrades
Property is directly ocean front, great view of islands of Lanai and Molokai. Nice remodeled unit, fine upgrades, well stocked. Comfortable beds, walkin showers. Unit is small for 4 adults, no dining table, four bar stools surround the kitchen island. TV in the bedrooms do not have cable and we could not get them to work after 2 requests.

I would give this 6 stars if I could
You should have seen our faces when we walked in. Exactly as pictured in the listing with a killer ocean view! This is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed and definitely the best ocean view. Great location with lots of shops and restaurants and short drive to downtown Lahaina.
Comfy beds, clean, modern and good communication with the managers. Also loved the heated pools which our other Maui place did not. The A/C was a little wierd, but we got used to it after a few days. I guess they don't want to rely on visitors to remember to shut it off when they leave the unit. So it has a 6 hour timer. It was December so it wasn't super hot and was no big deal when it shut off. One of the bedrooms got really cold for some reason and we couldn't figure out how to adjust that. I'm sure you could just call the management and they'd help you if it was a big deal to you. Wasn't really for us.
Loved watching sunsets and eating on the deck. It was spectacular. I cannot wait to stay here again!! You won't want to leave. Highly recommend.

Amazing Views!
View from balcony was priceless. Unit is beautiful. Appreciated the nice beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Traveling by air it really makes beach days more enjoyable knowing those items are provided.

Immaculate oceanfront condo
Wonderful experience in every way. The condo was recently upgraded and is scrupulously maintained. It is thoughtfully furnished with all of the kitchen and beach gear one might want, and the views and sound of the ocean are just incredible. We are so glad we stayed here and can’t wait to come back.

Great Condo
We rented a total of 3 condos and this one was the most updated and well equipped of them all. The views are fantastic as well. Great location that’s walking distance to stores, restaurants and beach.

Wonderful sunset views
Our family (two parents two teenage boys) had a wonderful stay in this condo. I spent hours in the lanai watching sunsets and the sea turtles who came very close to shore. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen has high quality pans and knives etc. Check in was super efficient. Pool was very warm and clean. We loved that there was shuffleboard and a putting green. Easy walk to the beach and to food trucks. Short drive to amazing snorkeling and boogie boarding (it was august so we had to hunt for waves). The one thing I’ll say is that from the master bedroom you can hear the people in the condo above and next door - but the noise was easily overcome by some white noise (and I should add that my husband and I are extremely light sleepers)

Family getaway
Property was as expected. Very well equipped with all the water sport activity needs. TV remotes and streaming was very poor. None of the instructions worked or were accurate. Eventually sorted it out but a little frustrating at first.

This property was terrific! The view of the ocean and sunset is Amazing! Everything we really needed was provided. Plenty of kitchen items to make meals. Loved having the washer/dryer! Comfy beds, did I mention the views from the lanai?;) The sunset and the stars!! Fantastic stay. Would stay here again!

No place like Maui
Beautiful stay! We’ve stayed at this property before in another unit. But this one was ocean front and nicely updated didn’t need anything. They provided start up items for our stay I thought I would need to buy more so I did but there was plenty for our entire stay. Would love to stay in this unit again. Waking up and seeing the ocean right off your lani was an added bonus! I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this resort we have stayed in a few different place before but have come back to the papakia the last few visits.

Great location, nice oceanfront Condo
The location is great - easy to get to Lahaina/Kapalua etc. And great to be right next to an ABC Store and Maui Fish Market (highly recommended) is just down the street.
Papakea is an older resort but the unit has been remodeled and is in great shape. You cannot beat the view - Ocean front!!!
I would definitely recommend this condo with a couple of suggestions to make it go from good to great:
1) There is an odd timer on the air conditioner. You cannot run it for more than 5 or 6 hours at a time. This means when it's hot, you may need to get up in the middle of the night and reset the timer. I have stayed in several places in Hawaii and have never seen a timer like this - it needs to go.
2) The TVs in the bedrooms have DVD players as their streaming players. Needless to say, they are hopelessly out of date with many streaming services not available. Not a big deal - who comes to Hawaii to watch TV. But there should be a Roku or the like e.g. something modern

We loved out stay here. The view is wonderful. Beautiful sunsets every night. Condo was very well stocked. Perfect for two couples (except for the twin beds) or a small family. Pools were nice.

Our stay at Papakea L303 was all we had hoped for. Spacious, clean, comfortable and overall very satisfied! No beach out front of location, but easy access to drive to several beaches and explore. Very close to everything we needed from rentals, morning coffee runs, dinner options, as well as grocery store. Would highly recommend.

I don’t think words and describe the view from this property. We took care of this property like it was our home, it was well cleaned organized and had all the necessities we needed. Amazing Property
My friends and I stated recently and really appreciated this property. It was whale season and the patio had sweeping views of the ocean...and the whales! It was very exciting. We plan on staying in this unit again, can't imagine any other spot being better.
