The stay was beautiful! The house literally felt like we were abroad in Europe. They have a beautiful lemon tree which made the garden smell like lemons. My friends and I had a fantastic time and used the swimming pool and table outside for a Sunday brunch. There were a few things I felt that can be improved I do wish there was central AC or more window ACs because it did get hot at times. The hot tub did not heat up and I asked for extra sheets but there was a hair on it. Also the listing saying it can accommodate 10 people but I will say it was comfortable for 9. The 10th person had to squeeze on the bed with us. The sleeper sofa in the living room was dirty so we could not use that.

Black mold & needs renovations
During our five day stay at this property in beautiful La Jolla we were horribly surprised at the current condition of the property. The guest bathroom in the upper floor is infested with black mold. Numerous holes in the wall were covered up with furniture. The entire hot tub needs to be updated as a majority of the tiles have fallen off. Countless dead bees and spiders surround the pool. We had to call the manager of the property to come and clean the pool so that we can safely walk without cutting our feet on the broken tiles. The outdoor grill, as pictured in the photos, does not function. We had such high hopes for this property, but it definitely needs some updating and attention for potential safety hazards. If I could rate this any lower I would!!!

The spa tile needs to be repaired. You had tiles that had fallen off in the pool and spa. This represents a liability.
You also were not able to close the primary master bedroom door.
Everything else was great and clean.

The property was beautiful. The hot tub and pool were put to good use. Quiet neighborhood and very close to all the great restaurants and downtown. Easy check in and no issues with the home.

Our family spent Spring Break here and had an incredible time. The pool is great for kids and they loved the water slide. Hot tub takes a bit to heat up but was great otherwise. The home itself is spacious and comfortable, with a great kitchen and the master bedroom/bathroom is exceptional. Would definitely stay here again

We had a nice time rediscovering LaJolla and relaxing. The family room off the kitchen was home base, though we made dinner nightly and enjoyed the dining room. Kitchen gear was spare but adequate for simple cooking. No complaints about the house, and the Avant communications were excellent. That said, we were very disappointed to be told shortly before our stay that the pool would not be heated. We were happy to pay the extra fee, and it was promptly refunded, but the heated pool was a primary reason to select such an expensive house. The hot tub was usable some of the time, but was programmed to shut off every few hours, so we would have to wait for it to heat again. The other factor that troubled us was the location of the driveway. To pull in and open the gate, and again on departing, put us right in the way of a busy intersection. I wouldn’t take that risk again. Again, I want to emphasize how helpful and courteous the Avant staff were.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Villa Valencia.
The house was clean and comfortable with all the basics we needed.
We were all adults; I wouldn't recommend this house for toddlers or young children as the stairs would pose a hazard, as well as the pool area. It is on a corner of two very busy streets and there is a bit of street noise and its a little hard to turn into the property, but we made it work.
We had some issues with the driveway door not opening and were a little disappointed in how long it took to get someone to the house to fix it, but it didn't majorly impact the trip, thankfully.

Plenty of gathering space both inside and out. Everything was well stocked.Location is great to see the area, entrance/exit is a little tough with traffic though. Management communication was unbelievably responsive and helpful.

The house was great for our family gathering. There were multiple areas for people to hang out throughout the property with two living areas, great patio with bar, hot tub and pool with waterfall.

We loved it here, and had a lot of fun using the hot tub and other amenities. It’s obviously well maintained.
All of the bedrooms felt private and the beds were cozy. We loved watching the sunset from the balcony!
The kitchen could use a few more supplies. No foil/Saran wrap, only 3 dish towels when cooking for a group of 10. We ended up buying a cheese grater for the house. Thankfully we brought a few large pots from our home otherwise we would have not had enough pots and pans to cook our meals. There were plenty of plates and silverware though!

My fiancé and I selected this property for our wedding weekend to stay at with our best man and maid of honor and their spouses. The house was underwhelming compared to the photos and very tired. The furniture in the living room and out doors was not what was pictured on the listing and all of the furniture seemed worn. The rugs in the rooms were coming up from the floors and you could see the tape that had been used to hold them down. The landscaping was all dirt (I do understand we are in a drought). Location was great for our wedding activities in La Jolla.

Perfect San Diego Hillside Getaway
Everything was amazing for our weekend getaway. The place is located in La Jolla and has beautiful views. The hosts were extremely responsive and made everything from check in to check out seamless. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home in a beautiful city
Had a great time staying here, everything about the space is amazing. From the bbq set up to the fire pit and inside the rooms and views. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Great home!
This location was absolutely amazing. There was plenty of space for my family of 6 and my two dogs. Everything inside and outside of the house operated as it should and I have no big complaints about this property.
My wife and children loved the pool and the slide. The main pool is heated and so is the hot tub. We spent a lot of time during the day hanging out outside and the weather was perfect!
The only slightly negative thing that I will bring up is the fact that there were several dying bees on this property when I stayed here. It seemed like property management was aware of the bees and may have sprayed the perimeter of the home prior to us arriving. My family members are severely allergic to bees so this is just something to keep in mind when planning for our next stay.
Aside from that, I would recommend this place to anyone searching for a nice and spacious place to stay.

La Jolla weekend
Pool and hot tub are near magical, short drive to the cove, and great space to gather with some friends or family. For the price you would have hoped things would be a bit cleaner. Patio furniture was dirty and grill was covered in ants. Overall a pleasant experience though in a great location, the house just seems a bit worn in.

Golf Get Away
Golf stay for four. Property was perfect for us. Great location with easy in and out to all local courses, Torrey Pines and downtown La Jolla. Hot tub and pool table were great for us and everything was operational that we used. Avant was great with communication and available if needed but we didn’t need them. Would be a great spot for family or group. Note that roads leading into La Jolla right below property and a little noisy from road traffic but we were staying mid week so morning commute in play. Didn’t bother me and I had windows open but another traveler mentioned it. Overall a good stay.
