Great place to stay!

Our family enjoyed another fun weekend at the beautiful Lakeside Lodge. There’s plenty of room for the family and plenty of activities. We enjoyed time relaxing in the hot tub, movies in the theater room and lots of games of pool. The house also has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and spaces to hang out to relax. They’ve been working on some nice upgrades outside to the deck and have a fire pit table that was conveniently placed and easy to use. Susie is an awesome host and easy to reach. We truly enjoy our weekend getaways at this lovely home…already planning our next get together!

Do NOT book this home. The property states that there is surveillance in the backyard for security purposes. We thought that was valid and still rented the property. We are a family of 8, ages 20-52. We were not checked in for 4 hours before the homeowners SHOWED UP UNANNOUNCED at 9 pm and kicked us out of the home for “breaking house rules”. They said that they were “checking the cameras before bed to make sure there wasn’t a child facedown in the pool” even though they have a “ring”camera out the front and we clearly had no children in our party. While watching the cameras they saw someone in our party vaping outside. They then proceeded to watch AND listen to every conversation we had since we had been there. One of those conversations was about what movie we were going to watch that night.The home has a home theatre room and my brother suggested “wolf of Wall Street” because it is his favorite movie. My brother was quoting the movie and said “I’m not leaving” while looking at the security camera. Apparently this is what made the homeowner show up unannounced. I tried to show the homeowners the clip from the movie so that they would know it was a quote and not someone in our party being defiant. They were absolutely not having it. They said they normally don’t kick people out for vaping outside, but the male homeowner was so angry about the movie quote that they literally watched us pack all of our things and kicked us out after we had been drinking and had driven from out of state. Homeowners are extremely rude. Really wish I was joking or that any of this was made up. Homeowners returned MOST of the money, but We are still out over $600 for 4 hours from this house AND our entire vacation was ruined. DO NOT BOOK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT EVERYTHING YOU SAY/DO TO BE RECORDED!!

We had a wonderful time with family. Played golf nearby, good places to eat close and a super quiet neighborhood. Hosts were great!!

Beautiful cabin with great amenities. Water was too low to use the dock but plenty of boat ramps just minutes away. Very nice overall.

This is a perfect home for a family or couples getaway. Very well apportioned kitchen. Something for everyone inside with the bar, pool table, and theater room. Can’t beat watching the sunset from the pool or hot tub.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The kids loved all of the activities and really enjoyed the pool. The house was very comfortable and had everything you can need. We had another family join us for part and Susie was nice enough to setup an extra bed.

We had an amazing nine days at the Lakeside Lodge. Communication from the owners was amazing. We were lucky enough to meet Susie and Mike as they needed to do routine cleaning on the pool and hot tub during our stay. Very gracious and kind people. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We have three boys who enjoyed the pool table, slot machines and theater room. I was worried about only having one shower for the seven of us but it was not an issue. We brought two boats with us and the dock was great. The cove to the house is a little shallow but we had no issues docking. There was room to ski directly out of our cove so we didn’t have to go far and Hu-B’s Marina is really close for gas. The owners were talking about future upgrades for the property which would make this already amazing house even better. We would definitely book this property again!!

This property did not disappoint. It was everything that I had hoped for my friends and family vacation. Beautiful house. Fully stocked with everything! very very comfortable. 5 teenage boys never once said they were bored. The pool table, movie theater room, pool and hot tub were a big hit. We rented a lovely pontoon boat from Hu B’s. Fabulous service and high quality brand new boat for a great day on the lake. Susie- thank you for sharing this piece of heaven. We will be back!

This has been our favorite vacation rental to date. The house has everything you need for a great vacation. My kids loved all the activities available. The location is awesome, with lots of wildlife!

This wonderful log home provided us the perfect place for a mini vaca reunion. The game room and home theater room were a hit! Relaxing on the deck, fishing at the dock and soaking in the hot tub made this a perfect time with life long friends. We all loved this lake front paradise and recommended it to all! Owners were easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home.

Beautiful home with lake views. We had such a nice time during our week stay over spring break. The house is fantastic and the owner was super responsive and really nice. We arrived to a basket with snacks and waters, the basement bar was so awesome and there’s tons of deck space and a place to grill. Very accessible to many trails in LBL. Check out was super easy. Would love to stay here again in the future and imagine it’s even more amazing in the summertime with the pool.

Weather was terrible but the house was beautiful and there was so much to do inside that going out was not needed. Will remember this place for future family visits

Our family enjoyed our stay. The house is filled with fun for everyone. Great communication by the owner. We especially enjoyed the pool table, hot tub and theater room. Property is clean and well stocked. Our family would highly recommend.

Loved this cabin. ♥️ The theater room was a big hit ! We really enjoyed it. The guys enjoyed the pool table and a gaming machine. The only thing I would change is, they need to make it more senior citizen friendly. The bathroom on a main floor needs a upgrade. It really needs a walk-in shower, raise the toilet height , and change the flooring, because of the uneven surface of the floor rock. I know going with the decor of the cabin that’s why it has the rock decor in that bathroom. It’s nice to look at. But it’s unsafe to walk on for seniors. Also the beds need to have a step stool to be able get into the beds. And if you could add any kind of seating on the main deck. I couldn’t sit out on the desk only because of the high top table and chairs. Not everybody could sit on the high top chairs. The cabin decor is very well done. The bar was outstanding. When I come back to Kentucky, this is the only place I would stay, once the bathroom is redone. The cabin is beautiful. And the owners are very nice to work with. Your Ohio friends. 😊♥️👍👍

This was one of the best cabins I have ever booked. There was so much to do at the cabin we hardly left. The only reason we did was to take my son fishing, because we came when the lake was low. The hot tub, pool table, and theatre room were the highlights of the trip for sure! Thank you for a wonderful week. I definitely recommend staying here!

This is a great property. Easy to get to, easy access to a nearby boat launch and everything we needed and more. The pool, deck, basement fun area and hot tub make it even better!

This property is perfect for a lakeside getaway. Convenient location, pool and hot tub were great. Media room, entertainment area and bar are perfect for rainy days. The kitchen is better equipped than any rental property I've stayed at in 35 years. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Susie’s place. Location on lake, splash pool and theater room were hits with the whole family. The place was extremely clean, host was responsive and it was perfect for our family of 6. Highly recommend. Emmett

Great place to stay! Very comfy and clean. Beautiful backyard. We stayed 5 nights and prepared all meals at home with ease. We tented a boat two days and loved being able to dock for a quick 30 min lunch at the house. The pool table, slot machines, and theater were a hit, and I loved the speakers on the patio. We hope to return again soon!

We had a great time at the cabin and have no complaints. Things to be aware of: the water depth of the cove that the dock is in is 2-3' deep from start to dock so go slow; only one of the 3 bathrooms have a shower which required everyone to use the same bathroom. I would also like to add communication and cleanliness of the cabin was top notch. Thanks to the owners.

This property is even better than the photos convey. We had a fantastic stay enjoying some family time together. Having the private pool to use was wonderful! It is a very comfortable and quality home.

We had a wonderful time at the Lakeside Lodge. There are plenty of things to keep everyone entertained and the house was clean and spacious.

My family had a great time on our first trip to Lake Barkley. Home is beautiful and the location was perfect! Just minutes to the harbor and dining spots.

We had a great family vacation at this spacious lake house! It was perfect for all ages from the toys, baby gate, and pack and play for the little one, to the games, pool table, splash pool, hot tub, and movie theater for the older kids and adults. We rented a boat and it was so nice to be able to use the dock and come and go as we wanted, along with some fishing. We had so much fun there that we only ventured out one day. We will definitely be back!

This house was amazing. So much to do without leaving the property. The owners were quick to respond to my questions before arriving and during our stay. We can’t wait for an opportunity to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. Wish we could have stayed longer in order to enjoy it more thoroughly. Property was thoughtfully decorated and even nicer in person.

Great stay in a lovely house. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc., hot tub was large and well kept, screening room easy to use and fun! Owners replied quickly to questions. Would definitely recommend and return!!
