My husband and I rented Our Happy Place for our wedding party. We had a small wedding and 9 adults stayed in the home. One evening we had our small reception at the house. We had a fabulous time. Everyone was pleased with their rooms and we enjoyed the amenities! I love to cook, and I appreciated the well stocked kitchen and all the fridge space! We were also so happy that our dogs could stay with us as they were part of the wedding. The only downside, if any, is it can be difficult to walk to the beach. We were able to find a cross walk one morning, but drove every other day. Overall, we loved this place and we all talk about renting it again to celebrate our anniversary!

Stayed here for a friends wedding weekend 15 mins down the road & we want to turn it into an annual trip! Kacie was amazing and the house was exactly as published. All bedrooms were a good size. Pool, hot tub, games, and a quick walk to the beach. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

We rented this house to celebrate my 60th birthday. The house was awesome. Very clean, great layout and conveniently located right around the corner from my family. The owners were great to deal with!

Stayed from Aug 26-Sept 2 2023, have been to OBX many times before, but usually stay in Nags Head. It was 6 adults (parents + 2 adult children and their spouses), 1 child (>1 yr), and our dogs. The property itself was very nice- clean, bright and spacious. The stairs are a great workout, but certainly could be tiring for some folks. Also had plenty of nice flatware and glassware- something you rarely find in house rentals- so that was very refreshing! Pool was perfect, we spent a lot of time there. It was kind of hot for the hot tub, but we did go in once and it was also very nice. Brand new grill! We used it to cook a meal one evening. Very close to a lot of things- grocery, Brew Thrus, restaurants, ice cream, souvenir shops, etc. The only downside doesn't really have anything to do with the house itself, but it's proximity to the beach. The house is on the non-ocean side of a VERY busy 4-lane road, so you have to walk a ways down (no sidewalks) to use a crosswalk, or you can drive. We usually like to be closer to the beach and walk instead of packing the car, driving, parking, unpacking, etc., so we ended up spending less time on the beach then I personally would have liked. May not be a big deal to others, just a preference that I should have paid closer attention to when booking. Overall, would definitely recommend! Especially if you're more of a pool person than a beach person :)

Our family and friends enjoyed a week stsying at "Our Happy Plave" in the Outer Banks. It was a great time, looking forward to the next adventure.

Great pet friendly house. Nice amenities and conveniences

I was worried about having to drive to the beach and park but the beach public parking was never full and was very easy to access! We also enjoyed being close to shopping, water park, golf, ice cream, etc! Our family loved the pool and hot tub! Great week!

Location is convenient to many attractions, shopping, etc., but not great for walking to the beach because of busy highway. Nice house overall, a few things did need attention which we shared with property owners. Management company should probably check up on the work of the cleaning staff.

The house is beautiful. We all enjoyed and loved the pool. Only thing needs improvement is the cleaning. I realize there is a quick turnover between guests but should always clean under the couches and lazy susan on dining room table, might help with some of the flying insects.

We had a blast staying here! It was close to everything, but still felt secluded enought that we weren't worried about road noise. The kids loved the swimming pool and games that were available. We would suggest this house to anyone.

Loved the house and our stay, wished we could have stayed longer. Plenty of room/space for 10 adults. Very pleased.

Property was fantastic. Clean, I liked that lines and towels were provided. Home was conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Pool and hot tube was nice. Having game room multi options was good.

Overall great house for big family. The only downside was beach access, but it was very quiet and easy to find

We lucked out with a great house and great weather. It was the perfect space. The kids took over the game room and downstairs bedrooms. We all enjoyed game nights at the large table upstairs. Walking distance to family friendly restaurants and a quick drive to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay for a holiday beach vacation. The location was perfect and the game room was a lot of fun. Then kitchen was very well stocked and there was a lot of space for everyone. This was a great get away in a nice neighborhood and close enough to the beach for our daily walks.

We loved everything about this house. The views of the ocean and surrounding area from the 3rd floor living space didn’t disappoint. Family had plenty of room and we didn’t feel “on top of each other”. Comfortable beds. Game room and hot tub were awesome! Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook a big Thanksgiving meal. Very quiet neighborhood.

Family vacation in the Outer Banks. We wanted to find a house large enough for all of us and we did. This house was huge and very very accommodating. Everyone had their own space. The pool was amazing!! The hot tub was amazing. The game room kept the kids busy when they were not in the pool. The gas grill is located right next to the pool which made it nice. We are already looking forward to next year!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! Access to the beach and a nice pool to relax in after was wonderful. Only difficulty was a public restroom with younger children while on beach. We tried to park at public bath house, but usually lot was full. We did enjoy a Sunday dinner ordered at OBX boil company, seamless and easy seafood for all! Also went on captain jacks dolphin tour and I don’t suggest with smaller children because it’s 2 hours long. We also had a great dinner at owens restaurant. The house was comfortable and welcoming also well decorated! 2 refrigerators for leftovers and water bottles for beach days. We all enjoyed our stay!

We spent time at the pool and the beach. Kicked back and relaxed. Very nice setting for that type of vacation.

Great location and access to shopping, food and the beach. Loved the pool and we spent most of our time there. Had a few issues from the prior tenant to deal with upon arrival from pets and personal usage, but Emily was quick to respond back. My only wish is that they had someone return to clean what was left behind. Family enjoyed their time though, and would consider revisiting for sure! ⛱️🌅🐚

Our family loved this home! Such a spacious house with lots of room to spread out! The beautiful pool was adored by all as it was used every day of our week-long stay! The pool table provided nightly entertainment too! The home is in a great, quiet neighborhood with close proximity to the beach access and many local areas of interest. We appreciated having 2 full size refrigerators to store all of our groceries for the week and cooked many meals in the fully-stocked kitchen! Lots of happy memories were made, and we will likely be back in the years to come!

The house was exactly what we were looking for. Enough bedrooms, comfortable and clean common areas and bathrooms. Pool and hot tub were great. And super close the beach. We will stay here again!

Our family couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our vacation. The home is very clean, amenities are more than you could ask for, welcoming feeling and the neighbors are very kind as well. The owners are amazing, kind, and quick response, not to mention they even offer a military discount.

Overall it was a great stay! The downfall to the location is being across a super busy street from the beach (which is in the description). The pool could have been cleaned a little better! Our stay was pretty cold and rainy for the end of May but there were a ton of things to do in the house!
