The pictures of this property look great. They are obviously not recent. There were so many issues. I was embarrassed as my kids and grandkids arrived. We immediately called to complain about the scum and dirt still in the pool. Took 3 trips by the pool cleaner to get it clean enough to swim in, so it was not usable the first day and a half. Then the pump shut down. That was repaired day 3. The grill was filthy. They came back to clean it. The washer was also worked on. We had alot of interruptions to our family visit because of this. There were so many other issues we did not report because we didn't want anymore interruptions. There was a large gap between the railing and the pool that our 1 year old grandson almost fell through. The pool guy wedged an old piece of wood in the spot to "fix" it. There is a bar directly across the street that plays music late and reverberates through the walls into the back bedrooms. Loud enough to hear the words of the song. Great if you want your kids singing along instead of sleeping. We were not made aware of this before we arrived. Kitchen oven has lots of rust. Several cabinets screwed shut. There is no hood vent in he kitchen. We had to nail back down several nails or screws on the deck. Furniture on the deck in bad shape. Table had half of the paint peeled off. Chair had a broken leg. Many more things that you would not expect after spending so much$$. There was plenty of space and beds. Beach was great.

Overall, excellent experience. Spacious, great bedroom/bath set-up, directly on the beach and close to plenty of places to shop or eat. Only minor complaints would be limited parking for a house that can sleep 20, too few towels (including no beach towels), and the integrated pool/spa is not as shown on the website. Despite these few minor issues, we would highly-recommend and will consider returning in the futute!

We had a great time considering the rain trying to get to the beach before it started again. The house was perfect big and spacious.we had everything that we needed to cook we just had to go to the store for food which wasn’t but a hop and a skip to go to. There are plenty of restaurants close by ,Ridley and wonder works was but 5 minutes away and other places to ride rides and raise carts are just a couple of minutes away and my crew loved the hot tub and playing on the beach we look forward to visiting again sometime soon we will be back . I give a big thank you I messaged about how to start the hot tub he was there in seconds to show me we absolutely loved our vacation stay and Ann so happy we picked this house thank you again

We had 19 people staying. Rooms was very nice and big enough for each family group. Lovely place to gather for the beach.

Great time with family. Only issue was kitchen cabinets were very dirty and silverware drawers needed to be cleaned. And all TV remotes did not work properly. View of beach was amazing! Even though there was a few housekeeping issues we had a great week and would stay again!

Beautiful location, pictures on web site need updated. This is not the pool that is onsite. For our group it worked out well but some may want the hot tub separated like it is in picture. Hot tub only has one set of jets that work. Screen on hot tub does not work. Sadly the property needs some tlc. You can tell the property is well used and not much time spent on cleaning and preventative maintenance to keep wood in good shape and keep property looking it’s best. I am a bit ocd so the place got a good bleaching and I went in between the houses and picked up two bags worth of bottles, cans & trash where people don’t seem to know how to throw things away & keep things nice. Sad when it’s such a beautiful place in the perfect location.

Our stay was amazing, the only problem was the hot tube, but after one call it was fixed. All five rooms look amazing and clean when you first show up and each room has a bunk bed. The neighbors are amazing people so there shouldn't be any problems with noise.

My family and I were blown away when we arrived with the view. It was amazing. There was plenty of room for my big family. My grandchildren loved having the pool and being on the beach too. Our first day, however, was inconvenienced by workers replacing the main door to enter the house. The workers were very nice and accommodating to our needs. The deck was cluttered with outdoor furniture that was not usable. The kitchens oven was not working, which was not good for what we had bought for a couple of our dinners. There were 2 microwaves. The built in one didn't work which is probably why there was a small countertop one. The refrigerator was not clean. I don't want to make our stay sound bad. The management had workers trying to fix these inconviences and always responded to my texts or calls. I realize that these kinds of things happen. The positives outweighed the negatives and none of the easily fixable problems stopped us from having a great time. This was my first time staying with Bens Beach homes and would definitely give them the benefit of the doubt and use them again.

The beach house was in a perfect location on the beach and a restaurant/bar across the street. The house is large, so everyone had their own space. The price was good had everything worked. Was really disappointed as The ice maker, oven, freezer, and back door were all broken. The porch light by the front door was hanging off the wall as this was our first impression upon arrival. The swim spa didn’t maintain a warm temperature and the gate on the back deck was broken. We played board games at night and the backs of the dining room chairs were not very secure. One of our younger guests complained of sand in the bed on the first night. The place just needs to be repaired for the price they asked. Really sad!!

Hello, We recently stayed at Surf Song for 2 weeks. We had a great time, however, I am a pretty easy-going person who would rather enjoy my vacation than complain. I do feel that I have to make a list of the annoyances given that we paid over 5k for our stay there. I will list them in the order of level of annoyance. Main Level Sliding Door - Neither my wife or granddaughter could close the sliding door (it wasn’t easy for me to close) and opening it requires a ridiculous amount of effort as well. Every time they went out either myself or my daughter’s partner had to get up and close the door. (it was in the 50's and low 60's most of the time we were there) It is my own fault that I ignored every review I read that mentioned the door - I ASSUMED it would have been repaired before our visit. Oven - did not work at all - spent time with your repair people TWICE and it was still not repaired. The Oven is tied into the same breaker as the cooktop - so for the entire time the repair people were there we were limited to the microwave. (Over an hour at dinner time the second repair person visit) Countertop receptacles - We brought an air -fryer with us and if you used any other appliance with the Air-fryer that was plugged into the countertop receptacles - the breaker blew. Unfortunately, the box is not properly marked, and the breaker is old and soft and didn't fully turn off, so we had to turn each kitchen breaker off and on until we found the bad breaker. Once with the Toaster Oven and once with the coffee pot. By then we learned our lesson. Gas Grill - we were very excited to have such a nice looking (from the outside) gas grill to utilize - we grill a ton at home. The grill was so disgustingly dirty that it could not be used at all - mostly for fear of it catching on fire from the grease build up in the bottom of the grill. Of course, once again my wife wanted me to clean out the grill.....not happening on my vacation. Trash - what a beautiful place and then at the end of the deck leading to the ocean is a pile of the old hot tub cover and broken chairs, on both sides of the deck there is trash of all kinds - the next door neighbors pile of trash from their renovation was completely blocking the path to the stairs to go to the street. An hour and a pickup and I would not have had to listen to my wife asking me to clean it up. TV in the master bedroom did not work on our arrival - you did send someone out who got it working - the

As it is- I wouldn't stay here again. Location is great and the host is very responsive. During our stay a few things were corrected (light bulbs) but we had several issues that weren't able to be corrected during our stay. The house is in need of general maintenance. Third floor balcony leaked water into the second floor bathroom, kitchen hinges need replacing, Fridge needs cleaning, Freezer causes ice to become solid block in about 2 days, bathroom fans were not functional and the oven didn't get to temp. As others have mentioned the rear sliding glass door is extremely difficult to operate. If we'd have had small children or old people with us I don't think they could have gotten outside unassisted. As it is the main/only access to the beach from the house this was an issue. Host is aware and has plans to replace it. The pool in the pictures is not the actual unit that is onsite. I think a few updates to the property would put it back on my list of places to stay.

Shelves in refrigerator need replacing. Please clean and fix sliding door to beach deck. All rooms were clean and comfortable, plenty of room for all to move around and not be on top of each other. Hot tub was great, cleaned twice during our stay, plenty of room for all. Would rent again. Handy location.

Property was great access to the beach. There was plenty of space for our group of 15. The main sliding door was an issue with our large group. It needed some maintenance. I have read about the door in previous reviews. The spa was in working condition and useful during our stay. I would recommend this property.

We had a great stay. The house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It's equiped with all that you need. The house is not new, and it shows, but it's in working condition. The only item that I would warn others is that there is a bar across the street that plays live music outside until 11 pm central time, so the two front bedrooms hear the music as if they were there. The living room and other 3 bedrooms don't hear the music. The beach location is amazing and they have a big hot tub that's very well taken care of.

Great location and loved being able to just walk out on the beach. Our family really enjoyed our visit. I saw previous reviews before our trip about the most used sliding glass door being very difficult to open and close. It was disappointing that this had not been addressed. Also there are multiple pieces of furniture inside and out that are unsafe for use and an electrical issue in the first floor bedroom. One of the outlets fried a phone charger.

You cannot ask for a better location. Steps to the beach and not as crowded on the end where we were but still close to everything. We enjoyed sitting on deck at night and listening to the live music at bar across the street; however, our vehicle did get backed into while in driveway by someone from the bar…driver didn’t stop. Plenty of beds/bedrooms/bathrooms for all 10 of us (3 kids, 3 couples, and grandmother). Home is a little dated and could use some upgrades but worth it for the location and layout. Swim spa was leaking water and needed to be filled daily but wasn’t a problem as the new water helped keep it cool and refreshing. Also appreciated the gentleman who stopped by to clean it mid week as it was pretty dirty until he cleaned it. Great location allowed us to spend everyday on the beach!

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean. The location was great. There was plenty of room for the 11 of us. The biggest complaint is that the main door, a sliding glass door, was extremely difficult to open and close especially from the outside where there is no handle to hold. Apparently this has been mentioned in other reviews but has never been fixed. The spa pool / hot tub was not like pictured.

Our stay on the beach was wonderful. Loved the easy beach access off of the deck. Kids enjoyed the pool. Spacious house with room for everyone plus the family dogs. The bar across the street was an added perk- good food and music steps from the house. The included amenities were a nice surprise. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

This was a really nice stay for me and i really enjoyed the swim spa at night under the stars. A private part of the beach where I only saw a handful of people

We enjoyed being on the beach with the large hot tub. The house could use some deferred maintenance and updates especially the TVs. But overall it’s a lot of house for the rate and we really enjoyed it and would consider staying there again.

This house is huge! Perfect for our group of 4 couples. Love that it steps right onto the beach to the most wonderful sand I’ve ever felt! The only down falls were that the swim spa needs work, the coffee maker needs replaced, and the grill was a rusty mess, besides that it was great!

The parking is not ideal. You can fit about 3 cars between the garage and driveway. Each bathroom has 1 roll of toilet paper and you get 1 roll of paper towels. For the price of the house, they should be able to provide a little more. When we arrived at the beach house there was hair in the upstairs shower, sand in the pool, sand and trash in the couch cushions, the stove top did not work correctly, and the towel rack in the master bathroom was hanging down off the wall. It looked like a previous guest had tried to use it to pull themselves up out of the bathtub. We tried to call property management twice to report everything and never received a call back. Then today, 11 days after we checked out I received a charge for damaged linens with no email or notification explaining the charge. The money was just pulled out of my bank account. The house was booked after we left, so I am not sure why I would be charged 11 days later. The location to the beach is perfect, and other than the issues the house is beautiful. We had a great time as a family. But, due to the issues we had with the house and the poor management I would not stay here again and would not recommend anyone else stay at the home.

This was a great house at a great location on the beach. larger than it appears in the pictures. The management was extremely responsive and helpful on two minor issues. The one minor drawback was that there is a bar directly across the street that played music a little loud at times. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was a slice of heaven for our large family plenty of room for everyone and even enough bathrooms .Nice large kitchen and plenty of deck space. The hot tub was nice for a evening dip to relax.
