It looks good in the first place...
We booked this place a few months ago. The adverticement on booking.com looks great and the reviews sound good as well. When we arrived everything seems fine, they cleaned everything so it smelled good. After we went to the city centre and came back some things started to bother us. The floor was sticky, the faucet was rusty, the shower was very nasty and rusty as well, the sink in the bathroom didn't seem very clean, the ceiling in the bathroom was moldy, the door wasn't closing that well and there was a big hole at the bottom of the door. We didn't liked it but there was nobody to mention the problems. In the evening we went to a restaurant. When we got back there were cockroaches walking around our front door and when we found a lizard inside our room we definitely didn't want to stay. Because there was nobody around a talk to, we decided to leave the keys on the table and check out. We sent a message that we left and we explained why we left. We also wanted a refund because they didn't offer the things they show on booking.com. She refused it and sent us to booking.com. After many phonecalls with booking.com they told us that the owner refused a refund. We sent multiple messages but she didn't answer. The worst experience in a very long time!!

I liked the location
I didn't like how dirty the room was, also it was pretty expensive for what it was.

The room was tidy, the shower had good water pressure and was very clean. The size of the room was quite big with a large wardrobe available. The location was ideal as it was a walkable distance to all the main attractions of Merida
The bed was far too small for it’s bed frame and too small for two adults to share, it did not fit the bed frame which we constantly hit and injured ourselves on. A big shame that the pool was not maintained and was slightly green during our stay. I would also say that it’s a downside that the room does not have a hop available or freezer compartment but has a sink and just some simple cutlery

I always think it's unfair to criticise cheap accommodation, but in the interest of sharing information, here are some negative points.
The building of the accommodation was very basic.
Ants and flies in the bathroom.
Bed and pillows are very soft.
Owner didn't speak English, but no problem with Google Translate.
Overall, nothing really bad to complain about and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

It was a good place, a Little bit far but worth the Price.

It was very cheap and for that it's clean, safe inside, a big comfortable bed and comfortable bathroom. We had access to free cold drinking water and a few snacks in the room. It's a good option to save a bit of money, especially if like us you are travelling around. The drive into town is easy, parking is easy. We didn't get the chance to try out the pool but it looked clean and quite big.
Like I say for the price, it was great. Some things: I didn't feel so safe in the area, but inside the room was fine. We punctured a car tire, there was a bunch of metal screws, pins etc hidden in the leaves on the road outside the apartments, not the hotels fault, but a real pain, it's easy to sweep up.

Great location to explore Merida without being directly in the center (walk, bus, uber).
Comfortable bed.
Good price.
Spacious.
Wifi was slower than expected.
Kitchen equipment could be better and more complete, at least for making breakfast.
The jacuzzi had an issue, so we only used it once.

Bed too small. Pool closed (being chemically treated) and we were notified the same day.

Accomodation was suitable for a few days in Merida. Good wifi, very helpful personal. Place for a car.
Small thinhs - There was no cutlery or plates, but there was a microvawe.
One more table or small piece of furniture would come handy.

It seems that they did some painting or repairing job in the room right before I checked in and it smelled to some chemical but the room was clean and it was very big

The kitchen wasn't equipped good. There was no fork, only spoons and just two flat plastic plates.

No staff 24/7 as it mentions, no receptionist or anything like that. They just leave you the key at the front and thats it
