Loved loved loved this stay. My 87 year old mother and five of her kids went to Long Beach for a family wedding. We had a lot of places to choose from and we were all very happy with this rental. The layout of the house was awesome for our Mom. Steve was there to answer any questions. Over all I do believe this was an awesome stay.

This property was perfect for our family! It was clean and exactly as described. The location was great- steps away from the open ocean as well as a calm inlet for the kiddos to play. The hosts were super responsive and very accommodating. This was an awesome place to stay!!

Good shopping nearby. Great beach access out the front and back doors. Worry free parking. Very enjoyable stay.

Just what we needed to celebrate my daughter’s 40th birthday with family!

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The distance from all the attractions we wanted to go to was perfect. The house itself was very pretty. The only downside would be the cleanliness. One of the bathroom tubs was pretty dirty and after a day or two my bedroom smelled like mildew. It was raining quite a bit the days we were there though. The rest of the house’s cleanliness was fine. Overall, had a great time and would book again.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Everything was as expected or better. The instructions for an easy check in were very easy. All of the space was clean and comfortable. I have never stayed at a rented home with more comfortable beds. We slept like a rock. The neighborhood is close to everything by foot but was so quiet. We would love to stay at Steve's property again someday.

This was a beautiful property that was well-maintained, we very much enjoyed having such easy access to the beach. There were beach chairs and towels supplied, and the host was thoughtful enough to include some bottled drinking water in the fridge for us and coffee pods upon our arrival. Communication with the host was seamless, and he addressed any concerns that are Rose during our stay very promptly. I would highly recommend staying here, and we hope to as well again in the future!

Everything was as stated in the description. Steve was very quick to get back with any answers to our questions. Perfect location with the beach right out the door and lots of restaurants within walking distance. So much to see and do in Long Beach.

Overall, this was a great family trip and we enjoyed our stay. Can’t beat the location. Could easily walk to most things you want to do. The house itself was well stocked for preparing meals. I did appreciate the water stocked in the fridge upon arrival. There was enough seating for the five of us and we enjoyed the stocked board games for family entertainment. The only reco for improvement would be more comfortable seating in living room and particularly the dining table, as the chairs cut into your legs when sitting, but I get it, that it is a rental and not like home, so I would still stay here again.

This spot is exactly as described in the listing. Communication was consistent and easy from the booking to checking-in to asking questions while there to checking out. Steve is very responsive. The place is beautiful and the perfect location. We brought our electric bikes and were able to bike on the strand in the mornings. We will definitely look to book for next year!

Pack a bag and grab a few groceries and you will be set with everything else this house has to offer! The hosts are lovely and communicative. Location is great, can walk to beach shops and restaurants. Or a quick 15-30 minute drive gets you to many popular California attractions. So nice to have water in the fridge and everything for coffee and tea ready for us; kitchen is well stocked. House was clean and comfy. I could go on and on, truly no complaints!

We spent a week at this property and loved every minute. Beach was across the street and the location was very convenient for us. Apartment was clean and had everything you would need. Would love to stay again when we are back in the area.

This stay will forever be in our hearts and literally life changing. We live in Florida and rented for an early holiday celebration in California. I was born and raised in California so all my family still resides there. This house was perfect proximity to the beach, local restaurants and perfect to just stay in and enjoy family. Needless to say, staying at the perfect beach house has prompted me and my husband to move home back to California. This property will provide you with everything you need, including memories that will last a lifetime.

I have stayed at scores of vacation homes for work and pleasure and would rate Steve and Cheryl’s in the upper 5%. Fresh flowers and bottled water greeted us. The house is impeccable with amenities aplenty that parallel the quality of the bedding and towels. The very private patio is the jewel in the crown with ample and varied seating looking out to the ocean. We were able to walk to a grocery store, other shopping and myriad restaurants. We intend to return to enjoy the gracious hosting of Steve and Cheryl.

Truly a great location. We had plenty of space and it was super helpful to have a parking space in the back. There were towels for both bathroom and beach. Also, a few family-friendly games that were awesome! Steve was super accessible, we only had one issue when we checked-in, the code to open the door did not work, but Steve was available right away to change the passcode remotely. Great communication, Steve checked-in on us mid-stay. Would definitely stay again!

Steve is an excellent host. There are many good things about the property, where we stayed the entire month of September. They include: a wonderful patio in front of the house with a nice table set and a beautiful BBQ grill; good television set up using YouTube TV; adequate master bath; ok second bedroom, tiny front bedroom with bunk bed and only bedroom with sunlight. The host communicated with us to insure we were satisfied with the rental. The home was spotless when we arrived and a house cleaner spent 4 hours cleaning mid-stay. BUT: a couple of disappointments, not all the owners fault. There was an infestation of flies and we could not keep them out of the house. They were everywhere. The unhoused locals cruise the alley every day and night, opening up garbage bins looking for food. The flies coat your cars, and make sitting on the patio a challenge. More importantly, there was a renter upstairs with two children under 5. They began running early (6 am) each day and with a thin ceiling, it was like trying to sleep in a tap dance studio. Future renters should confirm that the upstairs will not be occupied by small kids. (Again, Steve was apologetic about it and we do not blame him.) It is a very very business corner. Convenient to a lot of Long Beach, but not a private quiet location. But if you like cool ocean breezes, being close to excellent cycling trails, or want to veg out on the beach, this is a good find.

Steve,the owner is the best. Had everything you would need! Water, coffee, shampoo, etc. Even a washer and dryer. Very, very clean with a perfect layout…there were 6 of us. Perfectly wonderful vacation!

The house was very clean. The little extra things they did was very nice. The second bathroom is very small so hard to moved around. The shower door does not open all the way. A little difficult to give our granddaughter a bath. We loved the bay Just steps away. The beach was windy . Loved having the nice patio. The owner was very nice . We would go back.

we were 2 family with kids ( 4,6 yrs old). Super clean house, prime spot lovely beach and canal accès beach perfect for young children. walking distance from 2nd street ( restaurant and shop ). We recommend this place !!!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Working Home. The location is perfect! We enjoyed the more peaceful Bay Beach since we had our little one with us. We especially liked that we had designated parking spots that fit 2 of our cars which comes in very handy on the busy days. The vanities in the bathrooms are so nice with large pullout drawers under the sinks to keep all our bathroom bags. The beach chairs were a hit with the family! The enclosed front patio gave us extra security from the outside passersby but enabled us to still have the amazing views. The owners are very nice and checked on us when the fire alarm malfunctioned and then came over to fix it within a few hours. Many nice amenities here! We would definitely book again!

We were traveling for youth sports and this home was ideal for getting to and from the convention center and close to many shopping options. Was a great touch to provide water bottles and basic condiments. I would have liked to know that there is an upstairs rental as to not be spooked when additional cars in parking spots when we return to home at dark.

We stayed a week for our son’s college graduation and it was the perfect location for activities, restaurants and shopping. The house is beautiful with comfy beds, plush towels, games, TVs and great storage. We loved the round dining room table which seated 7 and was great for meals and games. We brought our 4 door truck so we could not fit two cars tandem in the back but we always found a space nearby for our son and family visitors. It was great having the washer/dryer and garage space for our bikes. Thanks to the Working family for an outstanding week! We would definitely come back! We highly recommend Roe and Nicks for great dining, both located an easy walk to 2nd Street.

This is a very nice beach house, and great host. The house is modern, clean and well furnished. The host has thoughtfully included many small things that travelers my not have brought, including food items, beach equipment, kitchen equipment, etc. The parking is tight, but we parked 2 cars there without trouble. Good location for traveling around the town to stores, restaraunts, etc. The beach is not the greatest -- no pounding surf, not the most scenic, and garbage at the water line was a problem. But, the vast majority of the beach was clean and beautiful, and very close to the house. The bay was also super close, and very nice. We loved this place!

This house is a great location by the beach with plenty of attractions in the area. The location was great for our family vacation with plenty of activities close by for our toddler. Steve was very communicative the entire trip and we would happily stay here again next time we come to Long Beach!
