Absolutely wonderful place to stay with interesting history of the railway carriages it is built from. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, large enclosed sunny garden. Ideal for a relaxing stay with three generations of family. Two minutes walk to the sea. Delicious cake on arrival and excellent comms with the owners. Highly recommend.

We booked Seagulls in Selsey for our annual girls holiday, and it really was the perfect setting. Its quirky, and the owners have really gone the extra mile with attention to detail with the railway related bits such as signs and 'GWR' loo roll holder. Very clean, and felt very homely, with a homemade cake to have with tea on arrival. It was the perfect setting for a group of dear friends to enjoy each others company and the house.

Lovely quirky place to stay.
Plenty of room for all of us and secure garden for dog.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagulls and wish we were still there.
The property is very well equipped, comfortable & roomy. The garden is private with a lovely round table and chairs plus loungers, and on a sunny day it's a great place to have a leisurely brunch, lunch or dinner.
There is sufficient parking for two cars and the beach is a few meters away. You can walk along the sea wall to any number of fresh seafood stalls. It's a 10 minute walk to the local shops where there is a bakery, butchers, newsagents, small supermarket and a nice fish and chip shop.
Hosts are very responsible and helpful and make a mean Victoria sponge cake!
Would highly recommend!

Quirky place in great location. Garden is a sun trap and all you hear is birdsong.
Kitchen is really well equipped and we couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away.

Seagulls will make you smile the moment you walk and and look from room to room it has a genuine charm and a soul. There was even a Seagull on the chimney when we arrived.
The three kids all had a room and they all loved their chosen rooms and no fall out ( a first!)
Sitting in the garden looking up at the sky listening to the waves nearby is a very relaxing experience.
The upstairs living space is also a very relaxing place to be in the evening.
You can probably tell we loved Seagulls, a great find and did not disappoint.
Thank you Shaun and Russell, a lovely quirky holiday home.

Seagulls is the most creative and stylish conversion of railways carriages encapsulating the seaside theme throughout. We had a very pleasurable and comfortable stay. It was such a relief that the kitchen was well stocked with equipment which allowed for home cooking on a large scale! Nothing had been forgotten and all was perfect. We will definitely be booking again! Thank you Shaun and Russell so much for your care and thought.

Quirky property, well presented in a quiet location. Good accessibility to convenience shops. Perfect layout for our family stay. Ignited an interest to find out more about the other train carriage conversions from the 1920s in the area - fascinating

A fab property with some beautiful days out nearby. Clever use of railway carriages as bedrooms and bathrooms and the best stocked kitchen supplies we've had in a self catering stay for a while. Great communication from the hosts and no problems at all during the stay.

Property was quirky, clean and in a quiet location. Although the bedrooms were small the living space was large and very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen plus a lovely secure garden for our dogs to have a run around. Loved the railway carriages. Great place to base yourself and explore other towns. Have a walk eastwards along the beach. Quirky houses in that direction and you can have the beach to yourselves. Thanks to Shaun for a lovely experience

great property, clean and well maintained.
Tea, coffee and milk and an awesome cake, were waiting for us when we arrived.
Down side:
Limited storage, we had a bedroom spare (there are four) and used it simply for clothes and beach equipment
Getting onto the beach required a three foot step when we were there, this will vary month by month, for us it was approx 300 yards to the beach

The owners have made the house really welcoming and practical. We loved the decor. It is made up of 2 old train coaches which have been adapted to make a house with an upstairs living room. It is very close the sea and has a secluded garden. It is safe to swim on that part of the beach. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time staying there.

We had an amazing time at seagulls and in Selsey. The pad was perfect for our stay, quirky yet spacious with good access to local amenities and superbly placed for access to the local beach.
It was genuinely magical to be able to cook dinner or lunch in the fully kitted out kitchen, then eat on the beach with the family enjoying the beautifully maintained east beach shingle beachside and the Crystal clear Selsey waters.
Would absolutely come again

Brilliant for sea swimming, great secure garden for dogs
We had a great week weather wise so were happy to stay local and not travel too far. Very relaxing, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would be good to have a second shower.

Fun weekend
The cottage is in a quiet plot with an attractive garden and you overlook the sea from the upstairs living room.
Once you adapt to the upside-down layout (living room upstairs, bedrooms down) then it contains all you need for a weekend away. The adapted railway carriages are features once you are in the property, with the old 'slam shut' doors and various railway memorabilia. As a result the bedrooms and kitchen are quite compact, but very characterful.
The airy lounge upstairs is a comfortable place to sit in the evenings and we enjoyed the grandstand views of a thunderstorm over the sea one evening.
