Short walk to Holt - lovely cottage with annexe, parking & private lawned garden
Railway Cottage ist ein wunderschön renoviertes viktorianisches Reihenhaus, nur zehn Minuten zu Fuß vom belebten Zentrum von Holt in eine Richtung und fünfzehn Minuten zu Fuß von der Poppy Line Station in die andere Richtung entfernt.
Das Railway Cottage ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Familienurlaub an der Küste von North Norfolk, der sich durch die Lackierung von Farrow und Ball, die Holzböden, die weichen Sofas und die großen bequemen Betten auszeichnet.
Das Anwesen bietet Platz für insgesamt acht Personen. Sechs befinden sich im Haupthaus (zwei Doppelzimmer und ein Zweibettzimmer) und zwei weitere auf der Plattform 2 - dem Nebengebäude gegenüber dem Innenhof im hinteren Teil des Hauses und einem umgebauten Waschhaus!
Der Garten liegt zum Hauptgebäude hinter dem Nebengebäude und hat eine schöne, abgeschiedene, eher "geheime" Ausstrahlung (zumindest wurde mir dies von mehreren Kindern erzählt!). Es gibt verschiedene Plätze zum Sitzen und Genießen des Gartens - nehmen Sie morgens einen Kaffee auf der Terrasse hinter dem Nebengebäude, grillen Sie im Innenhof zwischen Küche und Nebengebäude oder entspannen Sie in den Liegestühlen auf dem Rasen. Im Schuppen sind Liegestühle, Boules und Schaukelbälle untergebracht.
Familienessen können Sie am großen Tisch in der Küche oder draußen im Innenhof genießen. An kühlen Abenden und Winternächten können Sie sich mit Brettspielen oder einem Fernseher im Wohnzimmer am Kamin entspannen.

We had a wonderful time at Jon's cottage in Holt. The property was close enough to walk to town but not in the hustle and bustle and as such was quiet and relaxing. The open plan kitchen/diner/lounge was perfect to host our whole family. My 5-year-old niece enjoyed ALL of the toys available, and the secret garden was quite the hit! Thank you Jon!

This is a super property, very cosy and warm, with Aga, log burner and an open fire. The annex being great option for our daughter to have her own space with sofa and TV. The beds were really comfortable and the cottage very well equipped. Just a short walk into Holt with plenty of restaurants and shops mean everything you need is just on the doorstep. A lovely touch were the tasteful Christmas decorations and the bottle of fizz to welcome us. Jon had set the heating so it was nice and warm for our arrival. I would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage and just wished we could have stayed longer!

Lovely house
Railway Cottage is a lovely house. It's well equipped, beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and wonderfully warm! The house is also in a perfect location, just ten minutes walk from the centre of Holt and with easy access to the coast. Highly recommended!

Railway Cottage was wonderful
We had an amazing time very homely especially with the aga always lovely and warm … the annexe was such a handy place for our friends to stay in with their dog they absolutely loved it .. short walk to Holt and The Pigs restaurant up the road which was lovely as we celebrated two birthdays that weekend used Holt Taxis who were on time both ways and very efficient .. Holt Country Park was a delight to walk round and Holkham Hall and Beach a must to go too. Thank you Jon for all you did for us to make our weekend stay the best you are a star hopefully we will be back .. the icing on the cake was a visit to see the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which was amazing take care x

We really enjoyed our stay at Railway cottage. The separate annex was perfect for my parents and gave them their own space.
The selection of toys on the upstairs rooms was fantastic, our boys played with them all weekend. We also really appreciated the sturdy stair gate.
Generally the house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. It also had the best example of a welcome book that I have ever seen.
The owner, Jon, was always very quick to respond to the few questions I had and was happy to have a cot set up for us.
We would all happily stay again - and probably will.

Gorgeous Holt cottage
We had an excellent stay in Jon’s cottage, all rooms and beds really comfy, well equipped house to cover all needs and fabulous location close to all the north Norfolk Coastal and inland attractions. The cottage was always a great place to come back to after a coastal day and with the pubs and restaurants all booked up locally the kitchen was a great place to cook and hang out. Everything had been thought of and communication swift and clear. Highly recommend this as a holiday rental.

Fabulous!
First time, but definitely not the last time, we will visit and stay at this amazing cottage. Perfect location to visit so many of the seaside resorts. Such a charmingly decorated home from home with all the requirements you will need to make your stay comfortable . We loved it and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jon’s place. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very well appointed (including an Aga), and the separate accommodation space in the backyard is a bonus. Lovely decking and garden makes this an instantly relaxing place to stay. Walking distance to the centre of Holt. We would definitely stay here again.

Delightful cottage break
Railway cottage was deceptively spacious on the inside with well laid out accommodation and excellent equipment. Instructions to the property provided by the owner were detailed and very helpful as we were driving down from Yorkshire.
The location could not have been better with a ten minute walk into Holt and good access to the North Norfolk coast and attractions.
The AGA cooker was warm and welcoming and made the kitchen the true heart of the home. The icing on the cake was Platform 2 (the annexe )which was a perfect retreat for our son.
We would definitely recommend this property.

What a fabulous house
This house is absolutely beautiful, finished to a high spec, with literally nothing negative to say! I would highly recommend this property! It’s within a 15mins drive to Cromer, Holt is full of shops, pubs, coffee houses and has loads of character and only a 5-10 min walk (we had 2 small children with us so always takes a bit longer) Perfect for our family trip away to celebrate my dads 70th birthday! The only thing I would note is the hairdryer needs replacing but when that is the only downside to mention you know you have hit the jackpot! We will absolutely be visiting again as a family in the summer! Thank you Paula for the great communication and directions.

We had a lovely long weekend in Holt based in this lovely property. Three generations and two dogs and it catered for everyone, in particular the three year old who loved the books and toys.

Fantastic property
