The house is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It is an interesting historical property and definitely not cookie-cutter. Mark contacted us ahead to ask our preferences for a breakfast basket, and that was very welcome after a long flight and drive on to Anglesley. The location is terrific just across the road from the Menai Strait, very near the suspension bridge and walking distance to both a supermarket and some very good restaurants. Our kids also enjoyed the pool table.

Property is very impressive, views over looking the river, quite road and the property is very suitable for a family of six ... great sized rooms, plenty of entertainment to keep ALL families busy. 5 min walk to high-street or to super market, local take-away parlours all offering good foods.

Parking could be a problem but we never struggled as if outside the property is busy, then the side-road is close enough.

The location was fantastic, lots to see and the scenery from the windows was amazing 👍👍

We had to mix up the pillows for each bed so everyone had a better nights sleep on the second night

Very spacious, all the creature comforts, perfect central location. The pool table was a welcome bonus on a wet/windy weekend.

Brilliant views, large but cosy communal areas. Mark was responsive to texts. Great hamper!

The bedroom in the basement area was a little cold and dark and felt a little damp but I appreciate it’s an old property. I also note it’s marketed as sleeping 6 plus 2 extra (sofa beds) so can’t complain as we had 7 and it turned out there were 4 bedrooms. The bedroom in question had a separate heater which helped. It’s not a criticism as I think any old property with a basement would be the same but it was the only thing I thought could be improved.

The hamper was excellent, breakfast supplies, treats and wine. Super comfy beds and a very cosy, clean setting.

The Old Bailey boasted one of the best family "living spaces" we've ever stayed in, irrespective of price point - the main lounge / kitchen area with the old courthouse viewing gallery above them (now boasting the pool table) is the hub of the home and we absolutely loved it. Furninshings and overall spec were also top notch, as you'd expect for the price - I got caught out by the viewing flap in the downstairs toilet door, which was a former cell....much to the amusement of my observant kids! The master bedroom bed was another feature we wished we could have taken home with us....so big and comfy!

No complaints from us. Loved it.

What a house! What a host! What a place! What a View! We loved everything

We booked the premises for a family get together which covered the ages 87 to 20! And all the facilities made this very enjoyable

The property was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for our large family and a great base for a lovely holiday. We will definitely be staying again.

Great views, comfortable beds, walking distance of pubs, restaurants and a supermarket; boys loved playing pool.

Some essentials missing like an indoor clothes drier, brush and dustpan for the kitchen and some of the dishes had been put away very dirty ( prior occupants probably to blame for this but made for an unpleasant experience a couple of times).

The lounge are was very light, spacious and comfortable and had a lovely view to the estuary. Also a massive tv! The courtyard was a real sun trap which we benefitted from - had our breakfast and lunch out there.

From the start to the end of our mini holiday everything was perfect. Mark the host was super - even arranged a booking at "Dylans" for my daughters 21st birthday 🎂 (Dylan's is a must - quite literally 150m from the front door). The Old Bailey was quite simply stunning, from the decor, the facilities, the lay out, to the location - it was just perfect. Straight outside the door was the Menai Strait, with views of the Menai Bridge and Church Island just around the corner. Any doubts, put them aside and book immediately - you won't regret it.

Great location overlooking the Menai. The house had everything we needed. Lovely layout for families and couples alike. Host was fab. Met us on time and was available if we needed. Open plan kitchen lounge was great and the pool table upstairs provided a lot of entertainment. Would really recommend and definitely would stay again!

The whole property was very well presented with high quality furnishings. It was very clean and Covid guidelines had been carefully followed. The view from the property is wonderful and it is week placed for exploring both the local and wider area
