It was a wonderful house and suited the needs of our group beautifully! Only thing I would recommend be noted on the listing is the steep driveway. Our taxi driver was willing to go up each time but if we were traveling with older folks it would be really dangerous. Otherwise, amazing house!!

Fabulous stay for my expanding family! Incredible views to enjoy grilling on the deck, coffee in the morning and sunset pool time!

We just had this most wonderful week at the villa! Views were amazing and the location was convenient! It was the perfect layout for our two families of four. We have four teenagers between the two families and there was great room for everyone to spread out. The property managers were very helpful and answered any questions we had immediately. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our week was! Waking up this morning wishing we were still there!

Great place to stay for larger family or groups. Beautiful views, awesome pool. Very helpful hosts/managers who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had kids ages 8 and 10 and their grandparents in their 80s with us. Those in their 80s would’ve struggled on their own here as the very steep driveway and many stairs are tough to navigate. And I would’ve been nervous with really small kids given all the decks and stairs. But we loved it.

We loved our stay here. The main level has deck with beautiful view of Chocolate Hole and other bays. Nice pool, it is two levels below main level cascading down the hill. Two apt type rooms are one level below main level, each with their own bathroom. Driveway is very steep, need 4-wheel vehicle to drive up it safely, but there are many mountains on this island, so not surprising.. Property management was very responsive. Master bedroom mattress was comfortable, but other three couples said the mattresses definitely needed to be replaced. Deck is a bit worn with many nail heads sticking up slightly, so wear shoes. Overall, great place to stay and will be even better after some maintenance.

Beautiful property, worked out perfect for four couples. The large pool was certainly a bonus. Would definitely stay there again if we ever have a large group. The property manager Katja was always ready with quick response to any questions we had.

We enjoyed our stay. House was well equipped with everything you needed. Great pool and superb views. Driveway a bit steep but we were able to handle after our first attempt. 5 minute drive to Cruz Bay. We would definitely return. Everything was as advertised. Great space to spread out, well equipped kitchen/laundry, great pool, spectacular views, clean property, attentive property managers. No complaints. If we ever make it back to the island we’d love to stay here again.

This house was even better than advertised. We loved the location- high enough to overlook the ocean and also close enough to drive into town each night for dinner. The kitchen was one of the best stocked VRBO's we have ever stayed. They had plenty of spices, pans, and dishes to cook each day. Every room had an air-conditioner which helped when we wanted to cool down at night after being at the beach all day. The property managers went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed with groceries (I highly recommend taking advantage of the grocery provisions. We were able to enjoy a glass of chilled wine of the deck when we first arrived!) to booking boat and restaurants. They also took care of incidentals that we had during our stay. I can't recommend this property enough!

Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Location was convenient to Cruz Bay. Only real downside is driveway which is perhaps typical in a villa nestled in the hills. The taxis won’t drive up the driveway so if taking cabs you must walk down and back up a very steep long driveway if venturing out. Views were beautiful and accommodations comfortable for a group of 8.

Brief: Beautiful house, great location, good layout for multiple groups. Detailed: Location is great, with a fantastic view and beautifully landscaped property. House is clean, well maintained, and well appointed with cooking equipment, grill, and left-over spices. The view while cooking or dining on the deck is amazing. Laundry facilities worked well and had detergent, dishwasher had soap, bathrooms all with soap / shampoo. Each room has a/c, Wi-Fi works well. The pool is clean, with plenty of children’s pool toys and rafts, along with snorkeling gear and coolers for the beach days. For those unclear from the picture, the main house has 2 large bedrooms joined by a common space, kitchen, and deck. One floor below, accessible only by outdoor staircase are 2 independent efficiency studios separated by a long walk-way, which makes it great for several different families or groups, although was a bit awkward for our 2-family party with 4 smaller children since one group of children would be in their own separate apartment or one family would watching all 4 kids sleeping in one of the bedrooms. The rental company was easy to communicate with. The only small problem was the lighting on the stairs (only switch is at the bottom) and the uneven and unsecured decking boards, several of which need to be repaired and or replaced. Not a problem with adults, but takes a bit more planning and care with smaller children. I would absolutely book this place again without hesitation when we come back to St. John.

My husband and I took our three tween and teen kids, as well as both our mothers, to stay at this amazing home. The view was amazing to wake up to and end the day with. The pool was a good size and very clean. The kids got great use of this! The house had absolutely everything we needed and lots of space and privacy. I think what stood out the most, however, was Tori and how helpful she was throughout the entire process. I would 1,000% recommend this property to anyone!

The property is in a great location and very close to groceries and downtown. There where eight in our group and we had plenty of room. The views are spectacular! The only drawback was there wasn't a t.v. in every bedroom but hey, you're in the islands.

Terrapin Station is a great house in the Chocolate Hole area of St. John. We had two families with 4 kids ranging in age from 11-15. Everyone had their own space and the kids loved having their separate living area where they could hang out. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked several full meals there. The pool was large and the kids loved swimming in it after we got back from the beach every day. We would highly recommend Terrapin Station and would definitely rent it again for a future stay.

Spent 11 days over Christmas holiday with family of 8 adults. The home was in a wonderful location. It was close to Cruz bay and grocery store. The view was wonderful overlooking Chocolate hole. There was plenty of space to accommodate all 8 adults. The kitchen is well stocked and for cooking or to have a private chef come in a cook for you. I would take advantage of this service. Driftwood property management was very accommodating and easy to work with. Tori was always readily available and answered all needs. The home could use some organizing and some updating but overall would certainly recommend a stay here.

Property was just right. The VRBO was relaxed and casual. The property manager Tori was super. She welcomed us the night we arrived and made sure we were settled in. She went above and beyond the call of duty and rushed a child bedtime stuffed animal to the boat dock before we left. We loved St Johns and our fun relaxed VRBO was a big part of our visit.

Stella Bella was a wonderful 9 day stay on St Johns. It had all we needed and Tori was very responsive! Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay at this beautiful and spacious property

We had 8 adults stay at this property for my 40th birthday. It was beyond impressive, the space is huge! The decor, bedding and all furniture are very updated. And so so clean!! We had so much privacy, yet so many places to gather. The location is dreamy - so private, yet so close to town and beaches. We could not have been happier. Super easy check out and minimal To do before we left. Tori was amazing!! She met us at the car rental and came right away when we needed more water. We will absolutely be back! The views are so wonderful and so is the pool.

Our group of 9 was very comfortable in this house. The bedrooms are spread out so that we had both gathering space and places to relax in peace. The house was clean and well kept and Tori was very responsive to our questions and helping with information. Though the house is close to town, we ate in most of the time and the kitchen has everything you could need to do so. The pool was lovely and refreshing. I would highly recommend this property and Tori.

The house was exactly as described - roomy, clean, and beautiful! Our party was two families so the setup of the two rooms upstairs with additional rooms downstairs was awesome! The kitchen was great, too. Spacious and fully stocked. The pool was also a nice addition - we used it every night after dinner and beach time. Neighborhood was quiet and the views were amazing!! Would love to visit this spot again. :)

House was beautiful and perfect for couples. The two downstairs suites (accessible by outdoor stairs) were very private and the two upstairs suites were off of the living room, but quiet. Don’t pack sunscreen- there is a ton here! Shampoo/conditioner/soap/hair dryer/iron all available as well. Driveway was scary, but got used to it and parked two Jeeps there. Pool was great. 10 minutes to town. Would absolutely stay again.

Our stay at Stella Bella was perfect. The home fit our extended family of 8 perfectly and everyone had plenty of room. The views were gorgeous and we enjoyed the pool and sitting on the deck. It was well stocked, including coolers, beach towels, beach chairs and a full basket of reef friendly sunscreen. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautiful and absolutely perfect for our group. We had two families with a total of 5 children. Our youngest slept in the additional bed in the main bedroom. Plenty of space for everyone. We had a great time!!!

Great house! Description should really say 2 master bedrooms with 2 apartments on lower level. We were two families of 4 with teens and younger kids. We ended up giving the kids the masters and adults took the lower rooms. Driveway was intimidating to my friend, but he doesn’t own a Jeep, was just renting one for the week. We were able to park both Jeeps on property. We had two major power outages, the property had a powerwall which lasted about 2 hours, only problem is we had no idea that the island had issues, otherwise we would have conserved some energy to keep the batteries going a little longer. I have stayed at a few Vrbo rentals in the past and this place is very clean and well equipped. Do not hesitate on choosing this property for a great stay.

Very nice house. Worked great for our group of 8 adults. 4 couples. Three rooms have king beds and one a queen. All have their own bathrooms. Nicely furnished and supplied. Pool is nice.

Well stocked, clean, plenty of room. Extra beach towels and chairs. Five minutes to Cruz bay, grocery stores etc. and easy to get to North Shore Beaches. I would give this place a 10.

My family of 5 (kids ages 12, 12 and 14) stayed with our friends (kids ages 10 & 12) for a very comfortable week at Stella Bella. The property was perfect for two families with two master bedrooms and two downstairs bedrooms for the kids. (If kids are younger, parents may be uncomfortable having them stay alone downstairs since it can't be accessed except by going outside and down steps.) The pool was very large for a private pool and the 5 kids had a blast. The owners provided every amenity we could need: plenty of tp, bath supplies, soap, laundry detergent, beach chairs, towels and pool toys, extra ground coffee and even extra sunscreen (which we didn't need or use.) The property was furnished really nicely and we felt like we were home the entire week. We would definitely return and highly recommend this property. The driveway was tricky but once it's done once and you know your car will make it up the hill, it was no trouble! We highly recommend Stella Bella!

Beautiful home with loads of space, perfect accommodations for two families with teenagers. Great amenities and the pool was awesome! It was also great that beach towels, chairs and coolers were also provided for all of our beach days! Highly recommend this beautiful home!
