Vivian’s Hideaway truly is the best of both worlds!! We felt right at home. Our family loved the house and location! The house was immaculate and had every amenity possible. We loved the tea and coffee draw, the abundance of towels, the lovely colors of the plates and cups, and the aesthetics of the home!! Absolutely stunning! Every morning we walked down to the lake to paddle board, fish, and kayak. Having both at our disposal was heavenly! We even got up at 6:30 our last day so we could have a final go around the lake. Pretty amazing! The outdoor shower was lovely and the only shower we used! Every evening we sat around the fire pit and played games and had so much fun! The house had easy access to the bike trails and walking paths which we took advantage of and had a blast! We did explore the beaches on the list provided, but the lake was so lovely we never went to the beach! Spent every moment at the lake reading or on the water. The owners Scott and Maggie were lovely to deal with! I requested a Dutch oven and they had a brand new one for us! So nice to not have to bring ours! The beds and bedding were EXTREMELY comfortable! So much so, I asked for the make. Lol It was also lovely to have central air! 10 out of 10! Loved every minute there. Thank you Scott and Maggie! Stayed at property from 7/29-8/5. Wonderful time. House has all the amenities you could ask for and centrally located to numerous beaches and town. Great deck with my favorite thing, a large outdoor shower. Also really liked the propane fire pit and expresso maker - nice touches. Would definitely return.

We had a fantastic family vacation at Vivian’s Hideaway. The house is great. The patio, with fire pit, is a terrific place to hang out. The kitchen/eating area and downstairs living room are as well. The location is also excellent—an easy bike or car ride into Chatham. The lake nearby is less than a 5 minute walk and is great for swimming, kayaking, etc. What is truly remarkable is the degree to which Scott and Maggie have thought of everything guests might need on the Cape—from beach chairs to bikes to extra towels and toiletries and kitchen equipment. They were incredibly responsive to our questions and provided an amazing experience. We’d definitely recommend it!

Great place to stay in Chatham. Very clean lovely cottage, decorated in a beachy style. Comfortably living room for gathering the family together. The home has a kitchen to die for. Everything you could possibly need, probably more than you have at home. The best part is a sliding door leading out to a huge patio. Lots of seating with cushioned chairs couch and a large table.

The house is beautiful. It has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. They thought of every detail. We would definitely stay here again.

Not only was the property beautiful and immaculate when we checked in, but the hosts were some of the most accommodating I’ve experienced through rental sites. We felt right at home from the start and Vivian’s Hideaway is stocked with anything families with children could need. The patio is also a lovely addition for a relaxing afternoon or dinner by the fire pit. I highlight recommend this stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Vivian’s Hideaway! The home was immaculate and decorated beautifully. They had everything we could possibly need and we loved the outdoor area. Location is close to bike path, tennis courts and it’s so easy to get to town, beaches etc. The hosts couldn’t have been more responsive or attentive to making sure we were comfortable. We love Chatham and this home didn’t disappoint. We’ll be back!

Our stay at Vivian’s Hideaway was wonderful! The house was beautifully decorated, well appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket and thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the ample sized, well equipped kitchen. The incredible selection of tea (and coffee) delighted all of us . A favorite was relaxing in the lovely outdoor patio space and indulging in the outdoor shower with tastefully selected body wash, shampoo and conditioner in all the showers. The bikes, chairs and many other outdoor amenities were appreciated and well utilized by the whole family. Of particular note was the ever present attentiveness and warmth of owners Scottie and Maggie. They were absolutely terrific to communicate with! Would highly recommend this home for a memorable and wonderful Cape Cod getaway!

WOW- it was wonderful! The home was better than expected and very clean. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The kids room was simply perfect and had books and games - everything they would need to stay busy! Just a 4 minute drive to downtown Chatham. We will absolutely be renting this house again!

Our party of 6 loved it. My interior designer wife photographed the rooms, we took 2 little girls in the bicycle carrier ( better be in shape), took the boat on the lake, and loved the outdoor shower. Convenient to all of Cape Cod and the islands.

Have to start with the absolute pristine condition of the home. Clean and well maintained in every manner you can think of, Vivian’s Hideaway was just perfect for our group of nine (two families). The outdoor area with fire pit was a relaxing ending to each day we spent exploring Cape Cod, sitting beachfront, enjoying downtown Chatham, or paddle boarding/kayaking on Lovers Lake (particularly popular with our teens). If you are going in the summer, be sure to check out the Cape Cod baseball league, super fun for all ages. Scott and Maggie were by far the most helpful and thoughtful hosts we have encountered - we had a question or two about the area before we arrived, and they were incredibly helpful in their answers and suggestions. Every detail was thought out with the guests in mind, straight down to the refreshing body wash in the showers and the towels you couldn’t run out of if you tried. The area has everything from 5 star restaurants to the Chatham Fish Pier and a cool little pie shop (Martha’s I believe) that serves great lobster rolls. All in all a fantastic & relaxing experience for our families, we would absolutely go back there in a heartbeat.

This property is truly perfection for a family vacation. Maggie & Scott thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. There is not a detail that goes unnoticed from the welcome basket to the organization of the drawers in the kitchen. Our children loved walking the short distance to the lake and we loved the beauty of the views that came along with it. There is no doubt going forward that if we return to Chatham it will be with this property! I would absolutely recommend renting, you will not be disappointed!

We throughly enjoyed Vivian's Hideaway! Exceeded our expectations with so many little extra's that made us feel like special guests. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown by bike or car. Also an easy walk to Lover's Lake where we had fun with the kayak and paddle boards provided. The lake was beautiful, clear and a bit warmer than the ocean. We really loved the back deck with terrific outdoor shower. By far was the most nicely decorated, comfortable and well appointed vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Thanks Scott and Maggie for sharing your lovely home.:)

The home was very clean...well appointed with everything one could need...Everything! Hosts were great...easily accessible and very helpful and polite. Outside deck and shower were priceless and extremely comfortable. Great location...easy access to Chatham and rest of the cape. I would stay there again without any reservation. Scott was pleasant to work with.

This was our first trip to Cape Cod. This house was a perfect base of operations for our family of five. Place was thoughtfully equipped to address most every need that might arise. And any questions that arose were answered quickly and cheerfully. Great outdoor space for entertaining friends and family. Lake was within walking distance, bike/running trail just around the corner.

The house is every bit as nice as it looks online. It is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. In addition to a fully stocked kitchen, it has bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, games and sand toys. For the nearby lake it has SUP's and a kayak. The expansive deck is awesome, we used the outdoor showers and entertaining area every day. The home is on a quiet street yet close to everything The Cape has to offer. We had a great week!

Not only did the owners think of everything to make your stay comfortable the quality and style of everything was beyond expectation. Scott and Maggie were terrific to work with. They truly cared about providing a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect place to enjoy Cape Cod.

Beautiful home. We were two family's with young adult children looking for a place where everyone can do there own thing as well as spend time together. This home hit every mark. Had absolutely everything we needed. Location is awsome, right in the middle of the cape, so just short drives to all the other areas. Town was very close for shopping and food. Bike trail was close so we utilized the bikes that were provided. Beach was just a short ride.The best part was the short walk to Lake and the paddle boards and kayak provided, we went almost every day.Outdoor area was great. Property owner was fantastic anything we needed he was on top of it, and the welcome basket he left was a great touch. Would definitely stay again.

We were extremely happy with our stay at Vivian's Hideaway! The house is very clean and well organized. We traveled with three children ages 5 and under and it was perfect for our family! The house is perfect for a family getaway, and came well stocked with all the items one needs for young children. The house is beautiful and updated. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. The bedrooms are clean, bright and comfortable. The landscaping is gorgeous and we enjoyed the expansive outdoor space for meals and games. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. There is a walking path to a pond as well as proximity to a bike trail. There are enough bikes for the entire family to use, as well. Its just a short drive to downtown Chatham. We would stay there again!

The house is situated in a nice residential area, furnished with love to details in beach-house style and fully equipped with everything. Organization and support was perfect. As we rented the house for end of March/beginning of April the bikes were in maintenance during winter season. Scott organized other bikes for us from the local bike rental within seconds after we asked. Can only give five stars here because this is where the scale ends, otherwise would have given more.
