The place has a great setup with 4 bedrooms and the living area in between. The centerpiece has to be the pool which provided days of fun for our kids and family. The other thing this place has is, Shade. After hours at the beach you want to be able to relax by the pool but also get some shade. It has a nice area that is shaded as well as two big porches that provides tons of shade and plenty of seating options. Last but not least, they have a nice cart to help get your herd down to the beach without braking your back.

This property was “far and away” beyond what was expected. There wasn’t a single thing that we needed that wasn’t provide. The kitchen contents included all of the necessities as well as spices, cookbooks, & sharp knives…a rarity in our beach rentals in the past. Stepping out the door and across the street to the private access with no car or parking involved was a luxury. The pool was such a special amenity in a very well landscaped setting. The owner’s have done everything possible to ensure you will have a wonderful week, and my family certainly did.

The house was amazing! Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Love the original beach cottage vibe, perfectly updated with every amenity, beautiful finishes and art. We had a great stay with family and loved hanging out by the pool. The outdoor area was really lovely and had plenty of sun and shade. Bedrooms were spacious and airy with comfy beds and linens. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and appliances were clean and new. My nephews got plenty of use out of the bikes and the property is in a great location close to town, shops, food and the pier. The owners incredibly nice and super responsive. We will absolutely book this house again!!

Our family had a wonderful time here. Great proximity to the ocean. Beautiful decks and a warm, heated pool! The kitchen was well equipped and the house was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our month-stay in this lovely updated beach cottage. While the beautifully landscaped (and heated!) pool is the highlight, we also enjoyed the short walk to an uncrowded beach (and marsh, offering great sunset views on a long boardwalk), a large and comfy front porch, a welcoming great room with lots of daylight, and ideal location on a quiet street convenient to Surf City’s fine selection of locally owned restaurants. Tay and Becky are terrific hosts, prompting responding to our questions and requests.

Our family loved this beach house! It was a perfect location with a beach access across the road in the heart of surf city! The house is so cute! It is painted and furnished so well and the porches are just awesome! Our family loved the pool area which was perfect for a lazy hot day! It was perfect for our family of 8 to hang out and sleep comfortably! We could walk to plenty of eating places too!! We would rent this house again and again!

The house and property were as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay at this address in Surf City. Very close proximity to the beach. Pool area is fantastic! Overall excellent feeling and energy at this place. Everything was very satisfactory with just one exception. One of the bathroom showers is extremely small. This would most likely not present a problem if a family with children rented here. However, with the six adults we had, all of us used the one larger shower/tub.

We’ve been coming to North Carolina beaches for over 20 years now and I have to say this rental is one of the nicest and cleanest places we have stayed. Have already been discussing coming back again next year! Thank you Tay and Becky for your attention to details and quick response to our questions! This is a beautiful and thoughtfully restored beach house in a quiet part of Topsail. The house is well suited for families, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and dining spaces, and lockable gates on the pool and stairs kept my toddler nephew safe. The pool area is fabulous - I don’t think we can go pool-less at the beach again - it was a really wonderful way to end the day. What truly sets this property apart, though, are the owners. We rent several vacation properties a year and I don’t think I’ve ever had owners as responsive and invested in your vacation as Tay was. He was quick to respond to our questions when we checked in but the real difference was after we lost power during a very severe lightning storm early in our stay. We lost internet and the pool pump when the power came back on. Tay was out at the house once it stopped raining and worked tirelessly to make sure that we had minimal impacts on our stay, checking in on things multiple times. Having him local was HUGE during this one in a million situation. We would definitely book again!

The property was exactly what we needed for a week vacation at the beach. The front and back porch really made the house feel spacious. The owners had thought of everything--grill, bikes, kitchen amenities. The best part for us was the the house was virtually baby-proof with all the living space on one floor and gates installed on front and back porches. The pool was also just perfect too!

Recently stayed at this property for a week - the views were great and the home had such a cozy feel. Loved the private pool, the close proximity to the beach access, and the amenities (especially the beach chairs and grill!). We were only minutes away from anything we needed (groceries, restaurants, etc.). One of the bathrooms was out of commission for a few days of our stay, and the owners were communicative with regards to the issue and even sent us a partial refund without us asking. Overall a lovely home for a small group.

We had a great time at the property! The layout is perfect for hanging out during the day and privacy when it’s time to sleep. We liked that the house was stocked with basics. We really enjoyed the pool when we were tired from the ocean. We also loved the front and back porches and that they are covered so we could sit outside during the few brief rainstorms we had. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely book again if we choose Topsail again.

My family very much enjoyed our stay in Surf City! The house was just the right size for our family of 4, with a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of places to hang out both inside and out, and comfy furniture. The house is right across the street from beach access, making it an easy trip back and forth for lunch each day, and the pool topped off our stay. We'll definitely be back!

We just loved the property and had a wonderful time on our 5 day get away. The location was perfect for us. We Enjoyed the pool and the bikes tremendously! The owners have done an amazing job preserving the charm of this lovely beach cottage! Well done…we will return!!

We LOVE this property. From the moment I stepped onto the massive back porch, with the ready-made table for outside eating, I knew we were in exactly the right place. It is so apparent that every single detail of the house, from its cleanliness to its fully-stocked kitchen, has been personally touched by the owners. I have never -- in all my travels -- loved a rental kitchen more than this one: cookbooks, the best pots and pans, knives for every need, dishes enough to have all the neighbors over, and the friendliest table that seats everyone. If you're a fan of your own food like we are, you'll be delighted with how at-home you feel at 919. This traditional beach house feels completely spacious and wonderfully cozy all at the same time -- the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are so comfortable, and the living areas are so perfectly open and extended both front and back by the best porches and decks ever. I'm a big fan of light and there is so much natural light via the beautiful picture windows along the front of the house, and whether I was inside or out on the front porch it all felt like one large wonderful living space. The private beach access made getting to and from the sand simple and there are even beach chairs we happily used. My new list of favorite things: 1. Riding the bikes to the coffee shop every morning. 2. Sitting on the front porch, in whichever chair suits the angle of the sun, reading my book. 3. The 86 degree pool -- OMG it's heaven. Thank you, Tay and Becky, for being so particular about the importance of a place to pause. We will be back.

My family and I’s stay this week was wonderful. Great location (Surf City) and great beach adjacent to the house. Even with chillier temps (60s) my two kiddos were in the ocean and warm pool all day long. It was a fantastic week and are already planning our trip back! Thank you Tay and Becky for a great experience!

My husband and I rented this fabulous cottage for a quiet weekend away and it exceeded our expectations! First of all the location of the property was perfect! Close to restaurants/eateries, easy access and proximity to the beach, yet situated in a quiet area of Surf City. The house and property itself were immaculate! Updated cottage with all of the amenities you could ever think of and a beautifully landscaped yard and pool! I wasn't sure about using a pool in the middle of February, but the owners reassured us that the pool was heated and warm and they were right! The pictures of the house accurately show the beauty and charm of this property! The house was super clean and the furnishings were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for a family or just a couple like us, yet still seems cozy! Thank you for a wonderful quiet weekend away! We can't wait to come back!

My family enjoyed this home tremendously and we cannot wait to go back. This completely renovated beach cottage is a gem and tucked away on a very quiet street right across from the ocean. The property owners placed lights under each palm tree on the property so at night, you can hear the ocean and see yourself surrounded by palm trees, which was one of my favorite features of this home. There is also a lot of porch space front and back, plenty of room to entertain. It is very well decorated and has everything you need to feel comfortable. The pool area is amazing, and the grounds are very well kept. Their "Yard of The Month" for January was well deserved. The hosts were so gracious and communicated very well. 10 stars if we could and we would definitely stay again.

I just love this little cottage! If you're looking for a large, new construction beach house, this is not the house for you. BUT- if you're looking for a beautifully renovated and lovingly restored traditional cottage FILLED with personality and all the best amenities- it doesn't get any better. The living room furniture is super comfortable. The bedrooms have everything you need and nothing you don't. The kitchen is well equipped- down to local cookbooks! The yard and pool offer space and privacy. The deck in the back is perfect for dining or as a shady place to get away. The front porch is my favorite place for morning coffee and people-watching. We just love, love, love it and can't wait to come back. Other tenants have commented on the small bathrooms- they are small, but are perfectly functional and spotlessly clean. The house is less than a mile from all the shops and dining so biking to everything is so much fun! House is exactly as pictured, and owners are great with communication.

We enjoyed our stay at 919. The house has a great layout for a few couples plus kids. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy! The pool is perfect size and temp!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything is in terrific condition because they just completed a remodel. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We brought a table cloth to use for meals on the back deck picnic table. There were several spices available if you plan to do some cooking. The pool is small but was just lovely. They had a couple floats in the pool and we also brought our own. They did a great job creating comfortable seating areas and a nice setting to enjoy sitting around the pool. We appreciated the beach chairs they had available. They had a beach cart too, but we didn't bother to use it since there is a staircase at the beach access. The walk to the beach is super short, across a small street that is directly in front of the house. We would definitely be happy to return.
