Hostel was clean and well decorated. My flight arrived Merida on 22.00 so I came late at night. I took Va y ven bus from airport to ADO historical station and walked to the hostel - 500 m. away It's totally safe at night, around that time there're people around on the street.

De medewerkers zijn allemaal erg vriendelijk, we voelden ons direct op ons gemak. Ontbijt was top, in soort buffetvorm. Voor elk wat wils, zelfs verschillende soorten melk. De kamer was mooi evenals de badkamer, we hebben genoten van ons dakterras! De locatie is ook fijn, 500 meter van het centrum en 5 minuten wandelen naar ADO busstation. Het hostal/hotel ziet er van binnen ook geweldig uit, hoge plafonds en leuke muurschilderingen en mooie keuken. Deze is ook te gebruiken dus dat is ook fijn. Daarnaast 1 groter zwembad en 1 klein zwembadje, hier geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Eigenlijk niks, behalve dat er een rioolgeur in de badkamer aanwezig was maar dat is echt het enige wat ik me kan bedenken!

Beautiful property, well furnished, friendly staff, comfortable beds and excellent shower with good water pressure and hot water.

Due to the design of the shower door, water would leak out and flood the bathroom floor.

Breakfast was good, pancakes and fruit with yoghurt. Nice and quiet. Places to relax in hammocks outside. Good air con. Nice helpful staff.

I didn’t have a privacy curtain as it had broken. Also we only had one big light in our dorm rather than smaller lights above our bed. No shelves in the bathroom to place items, only mini shelf next to bed. Water hard to get as it’s from a massive cylinder so staff refill jugs but it often runs out. So they sell plastic water bottles which is so awful for the environment. Why not just provide free water like every other hostel?

Totally run down - photos are a lie, the pool (if you can call it that) isn't usable and also a tenth of the size of the photo. I also work whilst travelling and the WiFi never worked and no attempt to try and get some connection so I had to pay another hotel to use their WiFi in order to work. Towels had stains on. Bedding had stains on. Breakfast was also pathetic, some nacho chips and salsa with one type of fruit (we had papaya) and yoghurt.

There was a problem with an engine nearby - it was really loud for two nights. No excuses, no new room, no money back :(

Great place to stay in Merida! Good and helpfull staff, everything is perfectly clean and well mantained. A highlight is also the buffet breakfast included in the price. They also can book tours for you. Also a very good location, three blocks from the ADO busstation and three blocks from the main plaza.

De locatie van dit hotel/hostel is op zo’n 10 minuutjes lopen van het centrum wat het een mooie uitvalsbasis maakt. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, er wordt een lekker ontbijtje geserveerd en de kamers zijn zeer prettig. De prijs kwaliteitsverhouding was bovendien geweldig. Tot slot heeft het hotel/hostel een erg leuke uitstraling, met o.a. murals en een huisschildpad. Parkeren is mogelijk op een privéterrein bij hen wat ook tof was.

The location is only few blocks away from the main square. Breakfast is a small buffet (fruit, yogurt, filter coffee, pastry and eggs or other local breakfast items) and you can take what you want. Everybody washes their own dishes. Cool architecture and nice that there are so many different chill areas to hang out. Room had an AC and a ceiling fan.

We paid 100 pesos per night to park our car in the private parking lot the hotel offers across the street and had our car broken into at night. The hostel said that they will check the cameras but we never heard back and they also gave us a contact to the alleged owner of the parking lot who also never replied. Parking on the street and getting a fine would have definitely been cheaper for us than having to deal with the insurance. Beware of the hotel parking lot and do not expect any help despite paying for private parking. Pools were not cleaned when we were there and had a lot of leaves inside so nobody actually goes swimming there so it is mote or less just for deco. In general the common outside areas could have been a bit cleaner. The tables outside were all a bit dirty and covered with leaves during breakfast time. The internet was very spotty and barely non-existent in our room (was pretty close to the common area). It worked well in the reception area. There was no warm water in the shower during one evening. There was a short electricity outage, which was fixed within minutes.

O espaço é lindíssimo, o ambiente muito agradável, funcionários prestativos e atenciosos, quartos espaçosos e lindo, café da manhã bom! E está muito bem localizado.

O chuveiro não tem a opção quente, para quem está acostumado com banho quente leva um choque no começo até adaptar.

Een fijne, schone en ruime kamer. De hostel ligt ook heel centraal en op loopafstand van Plaza Grande. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en zorgt ervoor dat je je meteen thuisvoelt. Ontbijt was ook meer dan genoeg

The place is very nicely organized and decorated. There are a lot of common areas to stay in other than the rooms or dorms. There’s a pool with always cool water, which is fantastic on the hot and humid days in Merida. The breakfast they provide is excellent: apart from the continental type breakfast, you can also get yogurt and granola, some bread , fruit and some local dish/snack (it changes every day).

The air conditioning in the dorms is put on not earlier than at 9 pm. And though it really is not that important during the day, it could really be turned on at least at 8 or 7 pm.

Hotel Casa Garza was a little oasis of calm. Beautiful outside space, very friendly welcome. Lovely room wit outside space. Very pleasantly surprised.

Nothing. Would definitely stay again if coming back to Merida

Great location and very comfortable room. Very nicely decorated and pools were nice as Mérida is HOT. Kitchen facilities and breakfast was good.
