The basement was full of spiders and a cricket and had what appeared to be mouse droppings, or maybe just more bug remnants, in the bathroom. The house is extremely old and the basement needs major renovations to improve its temperature as it gets extremely cold when the AC is run to cool the upstairs to a desirable temperature. Also, the entire house has hardwood floors and as such it is extremely noisy. Whatever is going on in one part of the home can be heard everywhere else. I do NOT recommend staying here if you have small children or do not like bugs.

A perfect location for friends visiting Charlottesville. Close to UVA and the downtown mall. And most importantly, very close to Bodos. Would stay again.

This house was perfect for a bachelorette weekend! Also would be happy to come back with kids :) the owners were also very kind and called us ahead of check in to answer any questions and give us a heads up about a few things. Would rent again!

My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was well equipped in the kitchen and the rooms were very comfortable. The parking out front was never a problem. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time during our short stay in Charlottesville and this house was the perfect spot to stay! Lots of room, nicely appointed kitchen, and comfy beds. The toys and things like white noise machines were particularly appreciated since we were traveling with our two young kids. The location is so close to amazing restaurants and breweries and the neighborhood was quaint and quiet. We’d for sure seek this place out if we’re ever back in the area!

So as the title states the property was not what we expected Let me begin with what we liked • House had plenty of room. 4 adults and 2 teens • Bathrooms and kitchen were updated • Good water pressure for showers • AC worked well • Quiet neighborhood and good location to surrounding attractions What we didn't like • When we opened the front door the weather stripping fell off • House had cobwebs at entrance and at several of the windows • House had a distinct odor when you walked in. Reminded me of walking into a cabin in the woods that has not been visited for several months. • 3 of the 6 guests had sinus issues during the stay. House seemed dusty • There were air purification packages throughout the basement. Would have benefited with a dehumidifier • stains on chairs • glass in the book shelves was actually cracked(taped up) I understand the house is older but we have stayed in older homes (using VRBO) but have never experienced any issues like the ones we had at Property # 2186194. Looking out through some the window they were heavily covered with cobwebs, the musty odor was annoying but there was not much we could do about it, the house needs a filter to help with the dust, and overall, it could use some TLC. I just expected more of the house/accommodations considering we paid over $1k a night. The house is in a good location and has potential, but it needs attention. Hedrick

The girls and I had such a blast on our getaway to Charlottesville, VA, and this house was a big part of it! Such a great location to the city center and the house had everything we could need; and then some! You won’t be disappointed!

We were a group of friends in town for a wedding. This place was perfect for our group, would certainly stay again.

Clean, spacious, and well equipped. Very convenient to local attractions. The only lack was an outdoor space to sit outside.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The check-in process was very easy and information about the property was well communicated. The pictures in the listing are an accurate representation of the property. There are just a few issues that could be addressed. 1). There was a ceiling light in the kitchen that was hanging from the ceiling. 2). There was leftover trash at the bottom of the trash compartment. 3). There are no blinds/coverings on the glass door and windows of the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. 4). The landscaping could use improvement. However, none of these things affected our stay. This was great place to stay for a college reunion where the girls could sit around and reminisce about the good old days. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay at this property again on the future.

We loved our stay! Everything was as listed. Comfy beds, great area. Our toddler especially loved the playroom. My only feedback is that the bathrooms could use some minor upgrades (e.g., ceiling in hall bath)

The rooms were good sized and all beds were comfortable with nice bedding. The kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed to cook meals. The three bathrooms are small, but perfectly functional. Location is excellent only a short drive to the downtown mall or campus area. Within walking distance there are playgrounds and basketball courts as well as a nice coffee shop.

We stayed in Charlottesville over 5 days for the Thanksgiving holiday. Our accommodation was impeccable. Clean, spacious - an extremely cute home with a modern finish out. Additionally, the location couldn’t be better as uva is a minute or two down the road. We would love to stay here again and couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice.

This property was great for our group of 8 girls in town for the weekend. There many restaurants within about a two mile radius and Uber was readily available to take us where we needed to go. The house was well stocked and very clean!! It was perfect for our weekend stay.
