Very thoughtful place and beautifully appointed. All amenities, right down to coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter, soap etc. were all provided for. Lovely.

Nothing really, all was great.

Lovely weekend, accommodation was great and we appreciated the kind gestures of milk, bread and tea. Situated well for visiting the Lake District, pubs and nearby shops.

Hosts upon arrival were pleasant however, when I left to get dinner in my casual clothes (black trainers and trackies, my hiking soft shell and a baseball cap), after clearly stereotyping, one of the owners aggressively knocked on the door and rudely accused me of being a drug dealer to my other half after explaining they’ve had problems in the past. We completely understand however, if they’d gone about the situation differently they’d find out I’m in the RAF and my partner is training to be in the Police. Both anti drugs. This put a downer on our trip as we felt permanently watched after that. After the incident when we would see the owners, there was no contact or speech just stares as we’d awkwardly park in the blocked lane. To reference a previous review the parking situation was quite frustrating (pictures to follow). Whilst we understand the roads were narrow and the owners aren’t in control of this, we’d have appreciated easier access to the allocated parking space. Through the weekend our access and exit would be blocked by a black work van parked in the lane, which they were aware of. All in all was a great trip and enjoyed ourselves however, wouldn’t recommend to the ages of 18-25 to avoid stereotyping. Bizarre.

Super clean, spacious for two, great attention to details which makes the property feel like home, good wifi speed. Nice central location too. Very modern inside.

A great place to stay

It was in a quite part of the old town hidden away down a back street, but close enough for pubs or eateries. Lovely contemporary design and well thought out. One night not really enough to enjoy the area or cottage.

The cooking rings were abit tricky to master. But there was a microwave to help out.

The property had everything we needed. The hosts were very helpful and always at hand when we needed them. Property was spotlessly clean.

We have nothing negative to say about the property.

Great base to explore the lake District. The place was very nice, well decorated and clean. The kitchen had everything to cook proper meals in and we even had some bread and milk and butter on arrival, which was really thoughtful.

The bed is really quite narrow for two (normal) people. The parking is dedicated and in front of the house but situated at the end of a very narrow street. While the space is technically large enough for two cars, when there was already another car parked, we found the spot too tricky to access and had to park elsewhere.

Apart from the parking it was really great😀😀
