We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house. The house is brand new, tastefully decorated, and right on the beach. The lift was great for hauling our luggage up and down. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, except for a lemon squeezer. Management was very responsive when a smoke detector ran out of batteries. The person who showed up to deal with the issue was a teenager who didn't seem very competent, but the problem did get resolved quickly with some help from us. Although the decor was beautiful, our only complaint is that there were too many knick knacks cluttering up surfaces. Overall, this is probably the nicest beach house we have stayed at, and we would love to stay there again the next time we are in the area.

This location not only has gorgeous views of the water, the house and porches are stunning and welcoming! The amenities are top tier. Cabinets labeled with photos and a property book with instructions and recommendations took any guess work out of the stay that might have popped up. Baskets of beach towels to dry with and cozy blankets to snuggle with were thoughtful touches. Highly recommend for a girls get away or family retreat!

Fantastic property!!

My family was coming in for Thanksgiving, and Fowl Play was a perfect gathering spot. It is newly built, very clean, tastefully decorated and had all the amenities of home. We prepared our Thanksgiving feast easily in the well-stocked kitchen, which was stocked with quality cookware, pans, and utensils. The hot tub was a welcome addition, as nights were chilly. The sunrise was enjoyed each morning with cups of coffee, and the many plush blankets that were available in the home were a wonderful, comfy touch. This is a second-row home, but is positioned at an angle so that you feel you're on the front row. In a very short walk, you are on the beach. We had 13 in our party, but you could fit 16 easily, and with an air mattress or two, 18 would still be comfortable with the layout and the space. Perfect place - thank you for the hospitality!

We could not have asked for a better beach weekend booking Fowl Play. Wow. We were highly impressed by the quality, layout and design of the home. The amenities are plentiful a and absolutely amazing. The host made us feel welcome and the attention to detail made our stay a breeze. Overall we feel like we were treated like royalty. We will definitely return at our next opportunity. This is the best beach house that we have ever rented, highly highly recommended. 5 Stars!

What a beautiful place to stay! I loved staying here. The owner was a good communicator. For any of small issues or questions that popped up, those issues were quickly resolved. With us coming at a time a hurricane was expected to head to the coast, they definitely went above and beyond to make sure we knew what was going on. The rooms were clean and we loved the shells everywhere! The shower in the master was also so nice! The location was sweet, so close to the beach! The luggage lift was also such a help so we didn't have to keep walking our stuff up and down the stairs. We will definitely want to come back!

The first time i stayed with family and everything was perfect so we rebooked to come bavk with friends. Everything was perfect and the owners go above and beyond to welcome guest ans make sure guests have a hige amount of items suppled ao you dont have to pavk your whole house !! I try to leave a place completely cleaned up because we are extremely thankful to get to enjoy their beach home :)

This house was AMAZING. It is VERY clean. The owner keeps the property as if it is their own primary residence and they have thought of everything to include in the house - high quality kitchen items - everything you could possibly need, plenty of towels, dehumidifiers, robot vacuums, wifi-enabled TV's in every room, sono speakers on every floor. The house was very smartly designed - spacious layout, beautiful decor, the lift was handy on arrival and departure, the breezy 2nd floor, first floor shower and sink - they thought of it all! We also appreciated having plenty of parking spaces within the ropes/chains on the property. Stevie, the property manager, was very responsive and helpful. We loved spending time on the quiet beach, the breezy 2nd floor in the hot tub and on the hammock and hammock chairs. We never wanted to leave, and we hope to book again next year!

The Beach House and property were just as expected super nice, clean, and roomy. Amazing views, beaches are not crowded, and food on that side of the peninsula was much better than expected. If you planning on going into Galveston beware of the ferry. It's a minimum of 20-25 min wait up to 3-4 hour wait at times. I would say on average 1-2 hour wait. The owners were incredibly accommodating and nice.

Excellent rental and very generous owner. First time visiting Bolivar Peninsula and this will be our Texas Beach. We loved that it was low key with very little beach traffic. Great breeze on the porches made it comfortable to spend our time outdoors.

We rented this as a large family and it had plenty of space for us to be in the same place but not on top of each other! It was a beautiful location, nestled in the quiet peninsula, and truly a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed the house and the host and property manager were both amazing!

This beach house was immaculate! Every inch and detail of this house and location is perfection !!! Super roomy, extremely clean, cozy, decor on point, superior location, etc. I can’t say anything bad about this place. Highly recommend and look forward to more trips here !!!

The property manager was wonderful! Stevie answered all our questions and the owner called to check on us during a storm that produced 50 mile an hour wins to make sure we were alright. Great property, beach front. Large open beach space!

This home was spectacular. No detail was missed. High quality furnishings and decorations. We absolutely LOVED the large ice maker to fill coolers and drinks. The home is a stones throw from the beach and is nice and private with minimal neighbors. We would absolutely stay again and can’t say enough positive things about Crystal. She was so kind and thoughtful throughout our stay! We knew we would have a great stay when we arrived to a bottle of wine!

Fabulous! Upon arrival we were welcomed with a lovely greeting and bottle of wine, sunscreen and goodies very welcoming. Lots of ooooing and ahhhing over the perfect ocean themed decor, very well done quality and good taste! The views were very pleasing and spent a lot of time out on the decks enjoying the awesome hammocks, we were treated by the full blood moon on the ocean and great picture ops! The beach which was steps away was quiet and full of shells!! The kids were so excited! But, for the beach experience where you would like to set up " camp " the family drove down the beach ( with a purchased 10.00 pass for the year! ) only 3-4 miles !! Shopping very close by and no price gouging ! Dollar general offered everything beach, family dollar and grocery store close.Mattresses were so comfortable did not miss our own beds! Many sleeping options if needed between bunk beds, murphy bed and pull outs! Lovely linens. Kitchen was stocked above and beyond. Air fryer ( which we forgot) Ninja blender, crock pot, toaster TWO wonderful coffee pots for those of us who enjoy good coffee....lovely dinnerware/glassware options to choose from on our casual and one night of formal to accommodate all menus! With all of our family growing up in a Restaurant business we were not disappointed. Loved the ROBOVAC a must! This property had it all to accommodate the cleaning freak! Appreciated all the viewing options on TV and great sound bar and outdoor speakers on all level were a treat!!!! Puzzles, games for the family time. The ice machine was a plus! The hot tub was such a treat, with a great view was a plus!! Lots of thoughtful touches, extra soap pods as we rotated laundry a lot with children. A basket of beach towels was so appreciated could have left one bag home ;) A basket of lovely soft comfy throws for our movie nights. Beach chairs for your visit (another thing we could have left home.) Nice deck seating everywhere! picnic tables!! OH AND the LIFT was a must for luggage and groceries such a luxury! A fully gated grassy area so kids could be corralled safely if needed. Gates on stairs was a nice safety measure. If you are with children would recommend a baby gate at top! Host was very kind to inquire if we needed anything for safety for children very appreciated! We were very pleased and look forward to the next visit as this is considered our new beach home!

House is amazing, owners are great, and the beach is close and in the perfect spot!!

The owners have thought of everything! Wish it had been warmer so we could enjoy the hot tub, but the house is comfortable and well stocked. A perfect place for a close friends, post-COVID vaccine visit.

The house is stunning and the views are perfect. The house is very tall and you can clearly see and hear the waves. It feels closer than the pictures show. A lot of value with this house compared to other properties for rent along Crystal beach. Great communication and instructions.

Every single thing about this home was perfect! Spacious, tastefully decorated, everything you need is here especially in the kitchen. Upon arrival we were greeted with a basket full of amazing goodies such as cookies , coffee pods, sunscreen, beach towel, and bottle of wine. The owners have taken great pride in their beach home and i hope everyone respects it so future guests can enjoy the beauty of this home. My mother is on hospice and we wanted to have her in a perfect place for her last beach trip and this was beyond our expectations! Our kids enjoyed their short walk to the beach which is within a few steps away from the home. I have booked another trip back to this home for the summer. I highly recommend this home for a family trip or couples trip. Nearby is a grocery store, Denays donut shoo, some reataurants and retail. This truly is a perfect place to stay!

We stayed here for Spring Break after a year of Covid lockdown. Could not have been happier with the property. Everything is new and very smartly designed. Access to the beach and views could not be beat! We will be back!

I love the home! Our stay was wonderful and the house is amazing! So many great amenities! Our family really enjoyed it. Definitely worth every dollar! The only thing I can say is asking the guest to pull the linens off of all the beds,wash linens and towels was not expo. I vacation often and I don’t want to have to strip the bed and do laundry when I’m leaving. Outside of that, I definitely recommend the . The property manager was very nice and helpful
