We had a lovely intergenerational stay for a week at this beautiful house. Lots of room to spread out, easy beach access, beautiful and functional pool (really good with a little toddler - great shallow splashing end). There could be a few more amenities for kids - more plastic plates and bowls etc, but on the whole just a great place to stay. Hosts were wonderful to communicate with, and the location was fantastic. Beds were super comfy, plenty of towels and it was impeccably clean. We would absolutely come back again!

This home had everything! Plenty of space (on three levels) for everyone, toys, games, and a space just for kids, a chef's dream kitchen, a pool and hot tub right out on the deck, views of Avila Beach, perfect weather, and parking and a secure drive, where you didn't have to compete with the cars going to the beach. Absolutely fantastic home and location! Ben, was so gracious, answering our questions, giving us helpful information, and with the other owners, leaving us a beautiful arrival basket (or in this case - bowl of goodies). It was perfect having coffee in our goodies, as we decided to just grab pizza by walking down the street, rather than go to Costco or the grocery store (both of which are 2 exits away) the day we arrived. The zucchini bread Ben had in the basket was the best I've ever had! I cannot say enough about this wonderful property. We parked 4 cars and 3 motorcycles, and every vehicle was off the road and secure. We also enjoyed many of the local activities, which were so close to the home. Avila has always been one of our top 5 beaches in California. We will be back to Palmera in the future! Thank you Ben, Erica, Deb, and Rob! We really enjoyed everything about your home and your hospitality was top-notch!

Our family of 8 adults and 6 children lived in luxury for an entire week at Avila Beach Palmera. Every detail was well thought out. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could imagine you would need. Beds were amazing. All linens were high quality. The seating on the pool deck was a favorite relaxing spot. The bunk room and game room were ideal for our younger people. We definitely have this VRBO rental on our list for a repeat stay. Thank you to our hosts for answering questions immediately. We had such an amazing stay at Avila Beach Palmera!! The house is incredible! It holds everything in the listing and more! There were even additional fridges in the garage which helped us balance food and drinks for our large group of friends and family. It was the perfect place to celebrate our son’s graduation from Cal Poly, ideally located very close to the beach as well as easy driving distance to several vineyards for wine tasting! Everyone had an unforgettable and amazing week!

This property is absolutely amazing. The house is everything and more. We couldn’t ask for a better location. When they say steps from the beach they are not joking. Two to three minute walk at the most. We booked this house for a family vacation to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. The host was extremely thoughtful and wrote us a wonderful card and left us some local treats to help kick off the celebration. With eleven adults, this house was able to accommodate all of us comfortably. We never once felt on top of each other, the house is huge. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything needed to cook meals in the house for eleven. We took advantage of the pool, spa, outdoor areas and all the toys (chairs, paddle boards, cornhole, ping pong and foosball). Check in and check out was easy. The host provided all the details before, during and before departure on what was required/expected so we had no questions. To say our stay was exceptional is an understatement. We look forward to trying to make this house an annual vacation for our family for years to come.

Even with the rain we had the most amazing time at this property! We were still able to swim in the heated pool and hot tub and had the best views and location to amenities and activities. Also the house was fully stocked with games and kitchen items to cook and grill. We weathered the storm out in comfort for the entire family, ages 5 months to 75! We hope to book again!

I can honestly say this is hands the nicest house I've ever stayed at, hands down. We knew the property would be beautiful from the pictures and videos, but immediately upon our arrival, it exceeded all our expectations. The home is very spacious and modern, yet still warm and intimate. Everything was so well thought out to provide the most comfort and ease during our stay. The well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed -- sharp knives, quality cookware and utensils and really nice appliances. We really enjoyed the spacious common areas -- watched the World Cup together on the big TV in the game room, basked in the sunshine reading on the outside decks facing the ocean, made gingerbread houses together on the large dining table. The bedding was ample and super comfortable (even the couches, for unexpected napping!). Our family is very into ping pong, so we were thrilled to have a running tournament in the garage. The hosts were communicative throughout the entire process, from the day we booked through to our departure. We were welcomed with a gift basket of local treats and a thorough guidebook on the house tablet. And surprised that there was a charger in the garage for our new EV! Everything was just so lovely and delightful. You know you've found a special place when family keeps saying "I want to live here" and "Let's book it again, it's the only place we want to stay". So, a big thank you from this party of 12 -- we can't wait to return!

I've been coming to Avila for years and this is by far the best property in Avila Beach! We only had 7 people in our family group, but this house could easily have hosted twice that many with room to spare. I highly recommend Palmera!

This may be the best rental home I have ever stayed in. From the pre-check-in process and communication (Ben is fantastic!), to the incredible welcome basket of local goodies, this is a gorgeous and brand new home that was perfect for our family, and the extra touches made our stay that much more enjoyable. We had three toddlers ages 1.5-4 with us, and the house was secure, safe and fun for them! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with more than just the essentials (brand new everything, tons of supplies, storage containers, etc), and everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. The location itself is perfect, right in Avila Beach and a block from the beach and shops/restaurants. Our family is already talking about returning for another trip next year. Could not recommend this house more highly!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. The space was more than ample and the home was beautifully appointed with all the necessities and then some! The location was great for walks, the beach, parks, golf, restaurants and local bars with music.... couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Avila!!!

We had a great time for my moms 80th. The house is perfect for large groups. It had everything we needed and more. Pool amazing, deck great and the beach so close. Town close, clean, with everything we “ didn’t” need.

We had 9 adults and 1-3 year old, the home was perfect for our family couldn’t fine anything bad about it! Plenty of room and the home was a wonderful place to stay. Over all A+ experience.

An unforgettable trip with 14 family members from 2-72. It began with an unbelievable and overflowing welcome basket (including a great bottle of vino) and quick responses from Ben with any questions. The place was spotless with plenty of room. It was the best equipped VRBO kitchen we have ever rented. The pool and hot tub were big hits and the outside seating was more than enough for our large family. Ping pong, Foosball, Bags, beach toys, and floats kept all ages happy and engaged. Close to beach, restaurants, hiking trails, and wineries. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Kudos to the owners who know how to make a family feel welcomed and happy. You won’t be disappointed!

Our family had the best week together at Avila Palmera. The accommodations were perfect and the location can’t be beat. Everyone agreed there was plenty to enjoy, all within walking distance. We have already booked again for next summer. We all agreed this has to be a new family tradition.

As the grandmother who organized this family reunion for a 50th Anniversary celebration (8 adults and 7 children ranging from 7 months to 16), I received numerous kudos all week long for such an "awesome, amazing" choice of where to stay. The location was outstanding: only a short walk to the beach with the provided paddle boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, and sand toys--and only 12-13 minutes' drive to large grocery stores. The kitchen was large and exceedingly well outfitted for even such a large group. The pool and adjoining hot tub were enjoyed a few times a day including early morning and late evening. Those provided the kids' favorite activity, although the foosball table and some video games were also enjoyed. A "con" for some might be that with the hardwood floors and open staircases, it is not a quiet house. But we all did fine thanks to earplugs left by the host in a kitchen basket. In short, Avila Beach Palmera is beautiful, immaculate, and luxurious. Renting it was a huge splurge for us, but it felt worth it for such a special event.

What a beautiful home for our family to use for our nephew’s wedding and the wedding location was just across the street! The house amenities were what the family desired…from the pool, to the BBQ and big kitchen. So thankful to be able to enjoy such a beautiful home.

Just finished our family vacation to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary (7 adults and 3 teens). The home was very comfortable, a good location and with very entertaining amenities for the youngest to the elders. We have used VRBO homes in Maui, Santa Cruz, London and Vernazza and found the quality of this home to be the best of them all.
