Everything from A to Z was perfect. Pre check-in was handled very professionally. I received information on the day of my arrival via WhatsApp which made it very easy to communicate back and forth. Owner communicated in perfect English which was great for me since you don‘t speak any Spanish. The owner was very responsive during the day so I had a good feeling of being taken care of. Upon arrival access to the apartment was very simple. The apartment looked exactly as advertised and was spotless. The cleanliness of the apartment made me feel very welcome and like at home. The apartment featured some free water as a welcome present and a good selection of soft drinks, beer and some snacks in the fridge serving as a mini-bar at an additional charge. I found this very comfortable as the last thing I wanted to do after a full day‘s walk was to immediately go out and search for shopping possibilities. The apartment is very well equipped. It even contained a radiator which I could use to dry my walking shoes which had been wet due to heavy rain during the past two days. I found the bed very comfortable and it contained a real duvet and not a simple wool blanket like I have seen it in many other rooms on my trip. The kitchen was fully equipped - but I did not use it on my trip. The living room contained a comfortable sofa with a TV set plus a hanging seat (which I did not try but it looked comfortable). I used the washing machine to wash my clothes and there is a possibility to hang clothes outside the bedroom window to dry them in the afternoon sun (space is sufficient for a single traveler for maybe 2 days of clothes). Internet speed was very decent (I measured about 50 Mbit if I remember correctly) and reception is good throughout the whole apartment as the router is located in the living room of the apartment (so no shared connection from some other apartment). The apartment is located less than 100 meters from the Castillo de Ponferrada.
