This historic home lives up to the pictures online. It is beautifully appointed and has everything you could ask for. Our group had the best time at the Breakwater Estate.

What a perfect home for our family reunion vacation! My 3 children, their families and I were very comfortable in this beautiful well appointed house. Everything that you need to live is provided, from the overstocked kitchen to towels and linens and outdoor toys and seating. The outdoor pool is absolutely beautiful and the surrounding property provides places for kids to play. The house provides various areas to relax in and my family enjoyed the back porch area each afternoon as a place to gather. Thank you Kim for making it very easy to checkin, checkout, and answer all my questions.

Breakwater Estate is beautiful and luxuriously appointed. Everything that we could possibly need was provided. The grounds and pool are spectacular. The location was perfect, close to Great Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound beaches. The furnishings are lovely and our entire experience was luxurious. The owners were available and helpful. The home was a wonderful setting for our celebration of family milestones. We look forward to returning to Breakwater Estate.

What a lovely unique home. Very spacious and comfortable. The pool area was amazing. Close to so many activities . I would stay here again. Family enjoyed it as well!

We traveled out to Mattituck for spring break with two other families - six adults and five children (ages 2-5) - and had a wonderful stay at Breakwater Estate! The house/property is beautiful and well-designed. It is also spacious, and was particularly well-laid out for our three families, with each getting our own "wing"/space upstairs. Downstairs has multiple living rooms - allowing us all to congregate together or let the kids play to themselves while the adults enjoyed some (relatively, brief) quiet time. We spent a ton of time in the wonderful kitchen - gathered around both the island and the amazing (and amazingly large) banquette. Despite being there in the off-season, we were able to make great use of the backyard as well - enjoying the hot tub, grilling out, and making smores in the fire pit. The location of the house is fantastic - we were able to bike/scoot down to the beach in 10 minutes or so, and it was an easy drive to Greenport/Orient Point, as well as all the surrounding wineries. Finally - the rental experience was super smooth. Kim, the property manager, was proactive in reaching out to us with info on the house and area, and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We had an unforeseen request/need mid-stay, and Kim was super responsive and accommodating. This property has our highest recommendation! We can't wait to return in the future!

It really felt like we were staying with friends - the host was so informative, helpful and welcoming. They thought of every detail in this house and made it possible for guests to really kick back and relax. What a great treat in wine country! We went in the fall for wineries and the location is perfect to get to most wineries within 20 minutes. We would love to go back to experience a different season :-) This is a must stay

We were in town for a wedding and had an amazing stay!!! The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and tons of space!!! Kim was super hospitable and great leading up to the stay and the weekend was flawless! 10/10 recommend!

The house and property are amazing! Spacious, beautifully decorated, very family friendly. Pool is great for kids and adults. Seating area in the kitchen is HUGE and all 12 of us could fit comfortably. Only minor downside is a shortage of cable TV access as some grandchildren were disappointed that they couldn't watch the Mets except on laptops! Overall a great place for a family long weekend!

We had an amazing stay! The house was the perfect size. Tons of indoor space for when it rained and an awesome outdoor space for bbqing and hanging out by the pool. We already cannot wait to go back.

Breakwater Estate is a true gem. It's a well kept, perfectly designed and renovated, gorgeous house. Entire house was spotless and despite being very large, it was very cozy. We had an amazing dinner with the private chef and event planning team that Kim works with and overall, our group of friends had a blast in this house. The historic element of the house was the perfect setting for Halloween. Thank you for all your help and promptness Kim!

We were 9 family members and friends gathering to celebrate several birthdays. The house was incredibly well equipped and Kim was very accessible for any questions or concerns. The hot tub, back porch and fireplaces were highlights of the house, but all of the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and well-appointed. Would certainly stay there again!

We had a lovely stay at Kim's place. We were 2 families with 4 young kids between us and they loved the pool, the yard, the driveway to just run around! The house was exactly as described and had a lot of character. The location was central to many great things in Mattituck, including groceries, farms, vineyards, etc. We also took Kim's suggestions and hired a private chef to cook for us one night and the experience was superb! Highly recommend it and Kim's place. We would definitely stay again!

Harbes family farm, dozens of wineries, and the beach are all just a couple of minutes away. The town center, Love Lane, is quaint and quite charming. Make sure you check out NoFodoCo for some tasty doughnuts!Kim was quick to respond to questions we had and promptly dealt with any minor issues. We even left a few items during our stay, which Kim was kind enough to bring back to the city for us.Our week at Kim's home in Mattituck was the perfect escape our family needed after being cooped up in Manhattan for months because of covid. Living room, family room and kitchen were large and spacious - perfect for gathering together. Beautiful outdoor patio and backyard. Kim, our host, and her daughter made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We would stay here again!

My family and I had a great experience at the property. it was in a nice secluded area. tucked away in what felt like a home away from home.

This house is gorgeous and very clean! Perfect combination of historical charm combined with modern decor. There is plenty of room for a large group to coral together in the family room or oversized eat in kitchen table which ended up being popular hang out spots for us. Great outside space including comfy patio, backyard dining area, heated pool and 2 min ride to the beach and vineyards made it a hit for all ages in our group. The Host Kim was so wonderful! Going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and leaving plenty of supplies in the house (everything from tennis racquets to Lysol wipes). My niece even accidentally left behind a doll and Kim offered to mail it to us. Would absolutely stay again!
