The home was in a great location. Had plenty of dock space and was exactly what was advertised. Owners are great people and couldn't have asked for a better week in marathon.

House was amazing! Plenty of space and sits on a canal that has easy boat access. We stayed for a week and only ate out one time. Having a full kitchen was awesome. We came down in January and stayed in a hotel. The cost was only about 25% cheaper at the hotel. I don’t think I will ever stay in a hotel again for this type of travel. We are divers, and are a group of four people. Trying to put four people, a weeks worth of clothes, and 4 complete sets of dive gear in a hotel room is a pain. We were all over each other. This house was so comfortable it felt like home. The owner, Andy was also VERY easy to work with. When we arrived, I had a couple of questions, I had his phone number and he answered immediately and was able to tell me what I needed to know. It is nice having an actual contact and not having to go thru a company who will “get back with you”. The location is within walking distance to a Walgreens and there is a nice Bagel shop right across the street thru a cut thru. (2 min walk). There is a Publix and a Winn Dixie grocery store about a 5 min drive. Check the prices. We actually found some stuff to be cheaper at the Walgreens than at the grocery stores. It is about an hour and ten min drive, (which honestly does not seem that long when driving it), to Key West, and about 35 min to “Key Dives” at “Bud and Mary’s Marina” on Islamorada. I would highly recommend this location if you are planning a trip to the Florida Keys.

Captain Jim’s house was cleaned, roomy and convenient location. However, the water access (the canal) was not blue or clear green water as I was expected. It was murky so I wasn’t enthusiastic to sit at the porch. To be fair, I travel to Florida quite often so I have higher expectation, but my parents enjoyed every minutes on the screened porch. The code that provided to the house was incorrect, but we couldn’t get in touch with the owner. Luckily, my daughter found the porch door was unlocked. Imagine after 18 hours drive and get locked out. The next day we were able to get in touch with Captain Jim and he was pleasant. The price was reasonable so I believe you get what you paid for! Thank you Jim for sharing your home with us.

Great property with tons of living space . So easy to hop on our boat and spend time on the gorgeous water. Manatees in the backyard! Couldn’t ask for more.

Everything went well.

Very much enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the canal and most of all the manatees that appeared each day! Jim was very helpful and available to us by phone for any questions we had. Kitchen was well supplied. We were close by local businesses and restaurants and enjoyed being able to rent a boat which we kept right in front of the property on the canal.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing a much needed vacation. We love the keys and will be back hopefully soon. Thank you

We had an amazing experience at this property. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. The dock was very well maintained too. No complaints from us and if traveling there again in the future we would definitely stay there again. Only note is the left back bedroom is a tad hot, it doesnt get a lot of the AC. I was comfortable but my husband was hot at night.

Well kept, centrally located property.. Great value in a great setting...

We rented this house for 10 nights and it was a great place to stay! The house is conveniently located on a quiet canal just off the Gulf, with quick and easy access to the Atlantic. The house was very clean, bright, and had all the kitchen appliances (big and small) we needed. We also appreciated the advice about the area provided to us by the caretaker who lives downstairs. We definitely hope to be back next year!!!!

This was our second stay at Jim's house and it was terrific. The layout has large kitchen/common areas and nice bedrooms. Terrific boating location to access gulf or Atlantic. I Highly recommend!!

Very clean and well kept. The house itself is very well suited for entertaining large families or groups.

The house was very clean, but the outside needs some work. There is a big rusty door as you drive into the carport. Lots of clutter and stuff piled up against the house on the water side. Homeowner's son and housekeeper live below. Son was rude and obscene to my son. There was a lot of noise early in the morning waking us up. House is big and in a great location for the keys. Easy access to everything. If you aren't planning on bringing or renting a boat, there isn't much to do on the property. Wish they had kayaks or bicycles. Also, beach towels would have been nice to include in the rental. I had to buy hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. It would have been nice to have them provided to us....not expensive items to include in rental.

One of the best place to stay in the Keys. Great Location and great for kids and big family. It`s near the major stores. The house is very spacious and the owner is great, no issues in the communication. We had 9 people total, 3 being kids and the space was plenty. Loved the big kitchen and deck. We rented a boat and we were able to leave it at "our" house. It was so cool. We loved that was by the canal. We have been going to the Keys for the past 5 years, and this is by far the most nice house we stayed.

Great place to stay.

Great location, right in the middle of the Keys. So close to Sombrero Beach which was our favorite of all the Key beaches we visited. The home is spacious, updated, well equipped and very clean. Absolutely perfect. Our first trip to the Keys but we hope to go many more times and this will be the only place we look to stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay here.Every detail of our canal home was wonderful. Working with Captain Jim over our plans was very easy and he responded very timely. There was a great deal of room for all our party of eight. We all slept comfortably. We highly recommend this home. We thought the rental fee was very reasonable for all the comfort we received.Happily will return some day.Thank you Captain Jim
