La climatisation de la chambre n’etait pas vraiment au top

It was perfect.

Clean, well produced convenient and the staff couldn’t be more helpful; staying up for my arrival in the early hours of the morning and finding me a taxi the following day. I can highly recommend this property!

The host was very helpful and always available to hand over the keys and give a quick tour of the place. I actually stayed here three times (on my numerous way in and out of Dakar on route to other destinations) in three different rooms. I say rooms but these are proper apartments, well equipped with fridge, microwave, kettle and even a small gas stove. The bedrooms also all have air conditioning, which is a huge plus. There is a small grocery store nearby (Auchan) where you can find most anything you might need (including cold beer, which isn't always easily available). Location wise, it's a fairly local residential area and a fifteen minute walk from the Salam Transport bus station, which is handy if planning a trip to Saint-Louis.

It should be noted that the apartments aren't really near anything. I definitely under-estimated the distance between the accommodation and Dakar's downtown core, especially with the heat, and taxis are a pain. There also aren't too many restaurants in the area, though the Auchan provides well if you plan to stock your fridge and/or cook for yourself. The rooms are well equipped but in need of some upkeep in some cases. None of these are absolute deal breakers, save possibly the location if your plan is to explore the Plateau and you want to avoid taxis. Otherwise, ask the host (a very nice guy) if he knows a trustworthy taxi driver willing to take you. Oh, not an issue for me, but note that some rooms are five floors up with no elevator, so request a room on a lower floor if this might be a problem.

it was clean, large space, and great furniture in the apartment. near Mamadou Diop hospital, very safe area, near Auchan. The neighborhood is great.
