We did not like the fact that the owner had not alerted us that the entrance code and room number would be transmitted to us via text. We were travelling on bicycles and not always connected to wifi. Breakfast is at a cafe 150 m away which we plodded over to in the rain without umbrellas. The breakfast was very basic, not what one would except from a place like La Maison. We think Madame needs to let guests know in advance that she will communicate by text. Secondly, we think she needs to rethink the cafe breakfast. We she could do these two things we would move our review up to a solid 9 out of 10. We also think that the wifi signal at the property is to weak and that is why her text messages did not get through to us.

Only the location

It wasn’t a hotel as mentioned in Booking. Com …it was a guesthouse … the hand shower didn’t work … the bathroom had no door which meant the entire room steamed up while having a hot bath … the water from the shower sprayed into the bedroom … the lights on the staircase didn’t work … the free parking was a public parking which was a good distance away… the safe was shut & could not be opened. One had to go to outside establishment to have breakfast . There was no front desk to lodge a complaint .

This was such a special place to stay. The location is perfect and the room is beautiful and very comfortable.

Such a lovely stay. The location couldn’t have been better. The apartment itself was well decorated with an amazing view and shower. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable and charming lodging in the "lounge" centre of this pictoresque village. Spring bed with separate foam topper, comfortable for all sleeping styles. Very well furnished, decor has been done with taste and it's been partially renovated since the photos on booking.com. Wonderful shower. Thanks to other comments here, we split the luggage and took only the essential with us (it's about 200-300m walk from the parking). Would definitely reccommend and will stay again when back to this region.

We slept well, the curtains kept the light off in the morning, it was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The room was very beautiful.

We arrived at night and as the place has a four star hotel rating, we looked for a hotel entrance. However, the entrance is a small door in a stone wall. We ran around several minutes to find the place. We parked on the street nearby. When we entered, the place had a humid and old smell, which was not welcoming. If the place called itself a guest house, I would give a 10 star rating. but I think that calling it a four star hotel with breakfast (coffee, bottled fruit juice, bred and viennoiseries at a nearby café) is rather misleading.

The sinc was unpractical, the tap is too close to the edge and the water bounces back from the bottom of the sinc

Perfect for a single night stay while attending event at the castle. Owner very responsive when requesting directions and parking instructions.

excellent location and well appointed room

we asked for an additional bed for our child. the one provided was definitely not a bed, but an incredibly uncomfortable loose set of sofa bed (with steel crossbars) cushions put together. That was the only (but significant) disappointment of the property.

Breakfast was at a nearby cafe and was fine. Might not work in bad weather as it was a short walk away

Our stay at La Maison de Lourmarin was wonderful! Cecilia from the property was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. The check-in process was contactless and very easy. The location of the property is perfect, very central to the town, perfect to explore. Our stay included free breakfast at a nearby cafe, which was very tasty. Our room was spacious, super clean and spotless, and welcoming. Plus, Booking.com! We will definitely be coming back!

Nothing we didn't like; the only thing to be aware of is there isn't a reception or other services provided by the hotel itself, if that's what you're looking for.

the location was perfect right in the heart of the old town. The room was beautiful. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The breakfast coupon was great. a short walk to an outside cafe with a full breakfast.

only complaint was that we did not realize we could not park in the old town and had to haul our luggage down the streets of the old town.
