Not the best of places we have stayed in. Very shabby and a damp smell in room. Shower not the cleanest with black mould in corners. I appreciate the age of the building but feel the host couple are fighting a losing battle.

Close to shops, eateries, pubs and Harbour. Staff were lovely, very helpful pointing out places to eat and drink, places to visit and things to look for. Quickly helped sort a personal issue. Everything we needed was in the room. Room very clean. Excellent value for money.

The room was a nice surprise, huge super king size bed with plenty of space. Host was a lovely guy, couldn't do enough for me as a guest.

Toiletries could be better. £1.25 for a 250ml Original Source, even if guests stole it occasionally, would be a step up.

Callum was very welcoming, he had great enthusiasm for the local area and was eager to pass it on. The bed was comfortable and it was a great location in the heart of town.

The room was on the small side with a bathroom across the hall which was for our sole use, however nipping there and back when the door locks on closing proved fidgety.

The property requires a bit of a makeover.

I hoped that staying above a pub in Wick would give me a full Scotish experience - and I was not disapointed. Wick is a wonderful quiet little town with a beautiful coastline and extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful people. As a female solo traveler I felt safe at all times. Due to Covid the pub usually only opens on weekends, but I was lucky enough to listen to Callum and a friend playing some great Scotish live music the Thursday I arrived. Callum, Octavia and everyone else were very welcoming and made me feel included right away. The other nights I went to bed early. With my earplugs in I couln‘t hear a thing and slept very well in my cosy bed. The shower was great and I didn‘t miss a thing. Whenever I‘ll listen to one of the songs that Billy sang on karaoke I‘m going to think of Wick and its people. I‘d love to come back one day. Thanks for everything! Karen

I honestly can‘t think of anything. I got exactely what I was promised and more. I saw that some people left bad reviews - all due to the fact that they didn‘t read the information before booking. So please do yourself a favour and don‘t be that stupid. If you e.g. want breakfast in your accomodation then - guess what - book one that provides breakfast. Don‘t complain later that your bathroom was outside your room when it was you who made that choice whilst, booking because you went for the cheapest option. I think that‘s not helpful for other potentiell guests and very unfair to the hosts, who are very friendly and hart working people. Also: make sure you visit the Heritage Centre and take enough time - it’s brillant!

Callum was so helpful and made us feel so welcome straight away, he was full of really helpful information about the local area and suggestions of where to eat. The room was really lovely and bright, had everything we needed and some lovely extra touches too. Everything is so well thought out for the space with charging points in the lamps etc. the bathroom was small but perfect for us and the shower was great! Really good water pressure etc. We weren’t able to stay long as we were stopping here for a ferry crossing but our stay here has ensured we are going to come back then explore the local sites and hopefully we can time this so we can see some of the live music or events at the bar! Room was as described, great value for money, really nice and helpful host, parking available, wetherspoons just around the corner. Great place to stay when doing the NC500! I wish I could have visited Callums pub, but it‘s only open at weekends.

Window panels are worn, need replacement, generally quite loud, one can hear people talking in the rooms behind the walls. Well, the building is quite old.
